The hotel is located one kilometer from the sea. A small, quiet corner. The first shops are not far away, as well as cafes where you can eat. A small pool, but sufficient for refreshing after hot walks. Nearby there is both a reception and a dining room (there is no other name). Two-storey houses. We were lucky, the kitchen was equipped for cooking, refrigerator, two air conditioners. The water was always hot. Linen is not changed every day, but the room is cleaned relatively normally for a tip. We left thirty baht, a little less than a dollar. There are no programs in Russian on TV, but this is not a problem. The gym is present, but in a neglected state. This is a disadvantage for fans of healthy lifestyle. The food at breakfast is quite monotonous, also a small minus. At lunch, you can buy a dish for sixty baht, to choose from (but it is also small). Overall, the atmosphere is calm and quite comfortable for a three-star hotel. There is a tuk tuk going to the sea every hour, but we walked, stocking up on food and fruit on the way back. The night market is open three times a week from five o'clock in the evening, local time, and is about six hundred meters away. There you can buy various food, fruits, some souvenirs or clothes. I recommend a trip to Patong for a good shopping trip. It's not far away (an average half-hour taxi ride). To take a taxi, download the Bolt app, the trip will cost 250-270 baht (multiply by three and the amount will be in rubles).
Positive
There is Wi-Fi, soap, and a balcony. Condey is working. The room is large. Not far from the hotel there is a pharmacy, 7/11, big C, eateries and canteens, a massage parlor, a laundress. There is a shuttle service to the beach from 8 to 15 in the afternoon, but it accommodates only 8 rooms and 6 buildings in the hotel, some had to walk or rent bikes, because the distance is not close to the beach.
Minuses
He's very hungry for a safe, towels, and slippers in the room, they don't put tea in, sometimes I wanted to drink tea with chocolate, the kettle is on, but they only put coffee. Poor noise isolation. Earplugs didn't help. Disgusting breakfasts. Tired furniture. The bed linen has not been changed in 2 weeks. Beach towels can be changed once every 3 days. The pressure is poor, the water is barely warm in the shower and does not drain well in the sink. Mosquitoes are eating MFPs, so I had to buy a fumigator.
You will not be able to relax in this hotel. Music plays randomly all the time after 7 p.m. An amateur playlist. It's very noisy in the gazebo by the bass, the neighbors sing karaoke until 3 a.m. and chat loudly any day of the week.
I put the stated 3 * I tried not to pay attention to the shortcomings. The distance to the beach is really great. If you like to walk like me, go ahead. I knew where I was going and studied the hotel reviews beforehand, I just thought they were picking on me, I didn't believe it.
As for the beach....
Kamala village is 2 km long and has a fairly large beach. There is a shadow and a sun. Umbrellas are rented and sun beds. Many restaurants and cafes have showers and toilets. Suitable for families with children, shallow entry into the water and very obvious tides. When compared with the neighboring village of Surin, the sand is less clean and the water is not as clear. But in general, it's great, if you compare it with Patong, then Kamala is better. It was safe on the beach, I left my things, went swimming.
It is located far from the beach, but this is not the main problem. There is not a profitable exchanger near the hotel, there is little choice of cafes and no. There are no vendors with guided tours nearby.
Friendly staff. The rooms are dusty, but they generally try to clean up. They left 100 Baht and a note asking me to change the bed linen and towels. We started changing towels and bed linen almost every other day.
There is a delicious two-course lunch to choose from. The price is 60 Baht. You can't find it anywhere.
