An old hotel in Colombo with a great location. The breakfasts are excellent: continental, Indian, local and Chinese cuisine. The rooms are small but very cozy. What I didn't like: the pool overlooks a large construction site, there is nothing to breathe, heavy machinery is constantly driving. Perhaps this is where all the disadvantages end. The staff is super nice. A pianist is playing in the hall, very atmospheric. There is a lot of crystal, gold and marble, everything glitters and sparkles. I'm glad I stayed there and felt like a queen! The view from the window was simply amazing!
The hotel is not bad for Colombo. A little old , but better than some new ones . The location is good. There are many places to spend time inside the hotel, swimming pool, pool restaurant, rooftop bar. In general, the level for Sri Lanka is decent.
Terrible hotel!
The rooms are killed with old furniture. The picture is very different from reality. The rooms have clogged sewers and stink of dampness. We were stuck in the elevator besides, no one came for a long time, later they opened somehow and no one even apologized, as if this was the norm!!!The breakfast food is all honed for Hindus, some kind of stew and Rice alone. The Internet is barely working and then intermittently! The hotel is very tired. Repairs have probably been done only in the Lobby since the 90s.
I do not recommend it categorically!!!!
