We had a disappointing experience. We ordered three main courses and a chicken shishlak and left hungry. The portions are small. We ordered the vegetarian Langman which was okay. We also ordered lamb stew Kazan kebab. The waiter did not make much of an effort to explain the dish to us. It was grilled lamb but there was more fat and bone that any meat in it. There was a very small bit of roasted potatoes on the plate. Still hungry, we ordered a Thai chicken which had dill on it. I don’t expect authentic Thai food here but they didn’t need to be as skimpy with the chicken in the dish. The chicken shishlak was decent. This place is overpriced for the quality and quantity of food, it’s better to go elsewhere. We also had to wave lots to get our waiter’s attention, even though there were many staff members hanging around and one was evening sleeping.

It's a wonderful restaurant. A quiet, cozy place in the center of Bukhara. Fast, tactful service, excellent cuisine. The guide advised us to have dinner at the Old Buhara, and we obediently trudged there. We saw a packed hall and an open terrace on the second floor, noise and fuss. Two other couples from the group and I were put in a small room with no windows. The waiter would drop by occasionally and then disappear for a long time. As a result, it took exactly an hour to wait for the salad and barbecue.
The next day we went to the "Terrace" and found ourselves in a completely different world. After that, the choice was not changed. The best impressions and recommendations for this restaurant.

What is the main thing in a restaurant?
Kitchen, service, furnishing and service! Everything is just fine with the first one, the kebab melts in your mouth, salads are a delight!

The cafe's design fits well into the ensemble of local architecture, and the covered veranda is made of wood. The staff is really a bit slow with orders. The toilet is off the street, free for guests. The cafe accepts cash payments only. The food and drinks are delicious. The price tag is slightly above average. 👌

Good location. Live music. Tables on the street are separated by partitions with plants, which gives some privacy from other visitors.

The issue of the long wait for the order was explained by the fact that our order was mistakenly transferred to another table. There were no apologies, much less attempts to offer something as compensation.

It's a good place. There are many tables on the street in the historical part of the city. It's cool to sit at dusk and enjoy the city. The service was very fast both times, it was not a problem for the waiters to make a separate bill for each of our company of 13 people. The food was delicious, I liked Bukhara pilaf more than Tashkent and Samarkand, and I tried it on the Terrace. The waiters speak excellent Russian and English.
One of the disadvantages is very loud music, it would be better to make it background, twice as quiet, and it would be an ideal place.

We fell in love with this cafe and the city itself! We settled down on the street, all the neighboring tables were occupied by Europeans. It was very quiet, cozy, the violinist played in the evening, very atmospheric. All the dishes were cooked quickly enough, we liked everything. The waiters were great - they were very polite, they suggested the menu. There is a pack of dogs and cats fighting them nearby - we have fed everyone, everyone is happy)))

We ordered a lamb shish kebab.
Not only did they bring a few pieces on the bones, but we'll leave that out, okay, so there were small bones in the pulp, which I almost broke my tooth with!!!! The pieces of shish kebab on the same skewer are different: there are rubber, there are hard, there are soft, as if someone had picked up what they had not eaten and brought it.,

We ordered pilaf, manti, cabbage salad. The food is fine, but not awesome. The prices are usual for Bukhara, we got a little cheaper than eating in other places. It was nice to sit on the terrace, it was 20 degrees Celsius. There's a gang of cats running around. There was an unpleasant smell of something stale inside the hall, I hope this is not the norm of the institution. I didn't want to come a second time.

About everything in order: we rented a family room for 4. The description says: family suite with balcony. Well, the price tag is appropriate - $ 300 for 3 nights (almost 30 thousand rubles for 3 nights - well, not cheap, I want to say). When we entered the room, we were unpleasantly surprised, the room was in terrible condition. Sooo dirty. They told the receptionist about it, she came, took pictures of everything, said she would now send the cleaners to clean the room in a new way. But, the miracle did not happen. After repeated cleaning, the room remained in the same condition. Dusty carpets with someone else's hair, dusty cupboards, dust under the bed and on the headboards. Well, what to do, the money is spent - we live. We wiped all the shelves ourselves to put things out, there is no other way out)) It's time to go to bed and, oh Gods, the mattress on one of the beds is sagging. They turned it over, it got better. But the mattresses are all so hard that you sleep on planks. The blankets are all in terrible condition, the bed is yellow, plus torn. They asked the administrator to replace it. Replaced with a similar one, but thanks, just not torn. We asked the administrator for a discount for the inconvenience, after all, this is FAR from a LUXURY. He said he would coordinate with the management, they would give a good discount. As a result, they gave a 5% discount when calculating!!!! dollars (said: discount only for the first night). As if something had changed on the other two nights.) In general, it slightly overshadowed our vacation. But we tried not to pay attention to it and compensate for the shortcomings with positive emotions))) Therefore, before booking this hotel, decide for yourself what is more important to you, comfort or a beautiful view.
P.S. And, I also forgot to say. Because we had a check-out at night, and we did not have time to have breakfast, we were asked to prepare lunch boxes for us. They cooked it... but it was impossible to eat it. Sour cheese, which is already covered with mold, stale pastries 3-4 days old, maybe more. All this was thrown out at the station while waiting for the train. As a result, we were left hungry. Oh, and there were Apples and tangerines. Well, the fruits are normal, thanks for them!!!

A large selection of dishes. The feed is fast enough. But we were in the evening 3 hours before closing and there were not many people.
Most likely it will be slower during rush hour. I was pleased with the service. We had tortillas with us, which we began to eat while waiting for the order. We were offered a basket for these tortillas and a sauce that was not included in the bill. It was nice. The restaurant also serves wine, which is not found in all places of Bukhara. I recommend it for a visit.

A lot of people came in the evening, or they didn't have time to serve. Samsa with pumpkin is bad. Pilaf, lagman - satisfactory. Samsa with meat will go. In general, expectations are not justified, you can have a snack, but definitely not about pleasure and Not about delicious national cuisine. Well, the dishes were given away for a sooo long time.

Despite the fact that this place did not look like a decent meal at all, everything turned out to be extremely pleasant: the menu, although simple, is quite diverse, the dishes are prepared quickly and tasty, and the price tag is quite reasonable for the center of Bukhara. The staff is nimble, polite and not forgetful.
The only thing that caused some discomfort was that the entire terrace was tightly covered with soft windows. I don't know, maybe they are removed when it gets really hot or the air conditioners are turned on (but apart from the stupid fans on the ceiling I didn't notice anything), but at +30 outside I felt much more comfortable than on the terrace of this institution.

After walking around the center in the evening, we decided to eat. It was necessary to find a place where you can find a selection of different dishes without meat and eggs. This is not an easy task in Bukhara. We chose the nearest, best according to reviews. All 6 dishes were delicious. It was cooked quickly. What surprised and pleased me was the small amount of salt! Even Ayran is not salty. So for fans of healthy lifestyle, I especially recommend it.
