We went to have lunch with the family. I'll give you three points just for a beautiful terrace with a great view.
The food is average. You can eat, you didn't get poisoned, but you didn't get much pleasure either.
But what marred the visit was the disgusting service. The male waiter, although he spoke Russian, but generally treated and served us as if he was doing us a great favor. In the end, he brought us a whole handful of 20 kopecks for change. As a result, I got one of them for a tip.
I do not recommend it.

A very atmospheric Georgian cuisine restaurant. Beautiful view of the river from the terrace. In the evenings, there is a show program with Georgian dances and songs. Amazing performers! The food is delicious, the prices for such a place are reasonable.

Don't come here so that your holiday won't be ruined. This restaurant is not about delicious food.
There are many tourists here who came to watch dances and listen to Georgian songs.
The focus has shifted from food to entertainment.
The prices are very high. Compared with other restaurants - 2.5 times higher. But it would be delicious and not a pity! But..
For whom it is important - there is no menu in Russian.
Of the 20 waiters, only one somehow speaks Russian.
You can come here to order a glass of wine and take a picture of the city from the terrace. Unfortunately.

I had lunch at a restaurant, came without prior reservation to the opening, I was offered a table by the window with a beautiful view. There were few visitors at that time. The waiter was friendly and smiling. The service is fast. The food is ordinary, I won't say what tastes better than anywhere else. The bread is straight from the oven, hot, delicious. There were no tables for the evening. It is better to book a few days in advance, as I understand it. I was satisfied with the lunch and the amazing view.

In general, it is a good place for banquets and large companies. But we apparently turned out to be very spoiled) a huge number of staff, and the feeling that you were forgotten did not leave the whole evening. Drinks are not poured, they only bring them to order, they open it and that's it, then they themselves and everything would be fine if men were with us. Live music and dancing are a plus, we actually came from them. The food is delicious, without frills, as in all classic restaurants in Tbilisi, the concept of serving a dish, aesthetics, unfortunately is missing. The cherry on the cake was the discrepancy between the cost in the menu and the receipt, it was not pleasant. We wish you to work on the service, for which you generously ask for 18% of the receipt.

We celebrated our penultimate day in Tbilisi in this restaurant, we specially looked for such a restaurant with national cuisine, dances, songs, everything came together, all expectations were fulfilled delicious cuisine, a trio of respectable Georgians sang songs so sincerely that I wanted to listen and listen, incendiary dances performed by 4 young dancers filled the hall with such energy that I wanted to go to dance)) In the evening, a beautiful view of the old town opened from the veranda of the restaurant, and our vacation was completed!! Kitchen 5 , service 0. I had to wait 25 minutes for the waiter to take the order. If you want to order something, after waiting 20 minutes, you catch another waiter to accept the order. It was the final chord of our busy day in Tbilisi.
The main highlight of the institution is the views. The restaurant is located on a cliff above the Kura, and the windows offer panoramas of the Old City: temples, fortresses, streets and houses, and the river itself. Evening bonus - illumination and magic lights.
The advantages do not end with wonderful panoramas. The acquaintance with the national flavor and culture continues here thanks to the entertainment program: Caucasian songs, dances and costumes all evening. You can also dance by yourself.
And, of course, Georgian cuisine - all the classics of national dishes + wines + options for lovers of European cuisine. And all this at reasonable prices for a restaurant of this level: it is more expensive in our provincial cafe in the Kirov region (
Our check for the evening is 2 thousand (a meat frying pan, a cheese plate, eggplant with nuts, a bottle of wine, half a bottle of vodka). Everything is delicious, the service is on the level, they even helped out with charging the phone (they took it away, charged it, brought it, and continued to take pictures, because it's impossible to stop). I highly recommend it and would really like to do it again 😍

The waiter served the dishes with such a face, as if we had not booked a table for 2-3 weeks, but had asked for it. It's hard to tell from the dishes - it was spicy and a lot of spices for me, everything suited my husband. And so, I would probably also mark the terrace. I just read an article about the restaurant In the shadow of Metekhi on madloba.info And I can't wait to visit it anymore! After learning that the restaurant looks like an old manor house with a gorgeous veranda and a beautiful interior, I was immediately interested in this atmospheric establishment. I am glad to hear that the waiters work at the highest level, they keep everything clean and that there is a green tree inside the restaurant that grows against the stone wall. I am sure that the musicians playing the violin and piano will add a special atmosphere to In the shadow of Metekhi. I can't help but note that the Georgian khinkali and veal kebabs offered in the restaurant sound very attractive to lovers of delicious food. The first time we were told at the entrance that all the seats were occupied, as soon as we heard the Russian language, although there were a lot of tables available. The second time we booked a table earlier and came. The attitude towards us was evident as soon as we arrived. We sat down at the table, ordered food, and brought it in 20-25 minutes. My wife ordered trout in pomegranate sauce, they brought some fried pollock in an obscure sauce. I ordered the national dish of Georgia, something like veal with vegetables, they brought a half-heated dish, it feels like they collected waste in one bowl. My friends ordered 2 servings of lamb in wine sauce, brought one an hour later and said that it was for two of you. We paid all 160 GEL for it. It's *** guys, don't come here. This is the shittiest place in Tbilisi. And I also want to add, they ordered their national bread, where they cook right there, they bring it to all other nationalities straight from the oven, I watched it myself, they brought us such a cracker that it was not even possible to break it.
