A nice place in the heart of the city. It is better to book a table in advance so as not to come across a sign "closed for special service", or there may simply be no free tables ... yes, the place is 100% popular. I admired this sign several times myself because of my spontaneous outing to have dinner. The cafe has been open for a very long time. The interior has been updated with a new renovation, but photos and posters with autographs of famous artists have been a feature of this place for many many years, on the 1st floor there is a spacious dressing room with a sofa and clean bathrooms. At the tables in the bar area, you can smoke, look at the walls with pictures and stick to the TV on the wall, it's so cozy, but....)))) But the tables are located close to each other, and the smell of tobacco smoke hits your eyes and nose. Therefore, if you do not tolerate tobacco smoke, then perhaps the best option is to sit in the hall at the entrance to the cafe, it is fresher and more spacious there.
We ordered drinks, Caesar salads with salmon and Theatrical salad, and hotter - beef tongue with chanterelles and potato dumplings. The portions are really big and filling. It was disappointing that mayonnaise was generously added to all these dishes, which spoils the whole taste, because I would like to try out a combination of ingredients, elegant sauces and dressings in these dishes... Well, you know... And here.. bang and fat fat)))) It seems to me that the kitchen used to be tastier, but it was so long ago, about 15-17 years ago. This, of course, did not discourage the desire to visit there again, there is plenty to choose from on the menu, and I hope that next time the kitchen will please us)) It is very easy to get to the cafe. If you are walking near the park and there is a drama theater in front of you, move left past the huge post office building and turn the corner onto Lenin Avenue, move to the end of the post office building, and the corner of the next building will be the Theater cafe.

Probably the best place in Gomel, where you can comfortably sit with friends, and even dance if desired. The repertoire of local bands is naturally standard, from hackneyed Lapis songs, Movies, etc., I even once argued what the last songs would be, and guessed two out of three. I don't mind, I really love rock, but somehow, a little bit, I'm already very tired of them.

Once about 10 years ago, I ate the best steak in my life there and wanted to eat the same one again, I returned. But there was no steak... I went like this for a year, there was still no steak, although it was on the menu... As a result, it turned out that the cook who cooked the divine steak quit... Sadly.... While I'm looking for that wonderful steak. I haven't found it yet.
And in the "Theater" it is nice and cozy, I advise everyone!!!👍

The bar is more than 20 years old. It's still holding up at a time like this. The menu includes both Soviet dishes (such as language) and European cuisine. I've never liked live music in this place, maybe because the musicians are mostly not young anymore. You need to drink a very good strong drink to make you want to dance. But the room is cozy. We made a small repair. The toilet is now "in the basement".
