We were in the summer. We stopped on the way from the North Cape. Like it. Detached houses imitating the housing of gold miners at the end of the 19th century. Inside there are 2-storey bunks, a stove in the corner, a couple of chairs and a table. Minimalism, in general. Toilet, shower, kitchen with refrigerator, dining room in a separate house. Mosquitoes!!! But on the territory you can see how gold was mined, try to wash it in the stream yourself, tools are rented. There is a locomobile, there is a bar, like in cowboy movies, a very detailed and interesting museum. There is enough entertainment for 2 days. And the silence, of course. And then to Rovaniemi to visit Santa Claus' base!

We were in -16. We slept in our clothes. It's very cold in the cabins! Only for summer... in winter, you don't have to wake up in such a cold…
