We visited this place on 04/12/2025!
We came completely unprepared!!!
We just heard that this is a Holy place!!!!!
We started climbing at exactly 16:50!!!!
They couldn't even imagine where they had come to!!! The shoes were absolutely not comfortable!!! I had a purse. It's heavy enough!!! They didn't take any water!!!! We thought we were just going for a walk!!!!!And that's it!!!!!!But that was not the case!!!!!!!!as it turned out!!!!
The weather was not good! It was snowing heavily, with hail in places!!!Everything is slippery, it's scary to turn back!!!When turning back, I was dizzy!!! Halfway there, we sat down to rest in the old gazebos!!! And it's written there halfway along the way - from this very minute, going forward, think and pray about what you would like!!!!!!!
But if it's funny, from that minute on, I thought what am I doing here? !!!!! But from this very place, my thoughts were about not falling off the mountain!!!! And don't roll down!! It was a very difficult path for me! At 20:30 we were at the very top!
By the way, when people came down, they gave us a stick and said you'll need it!!!!!
Many thanks to them!!! After all, my sister really says that it was very difficult to walk without her!!!!
So keep in mind that you need a cane and sticks with you !!
Then after the hills there seems to be a long road uphill! With a big lift!!!We seem to be thinking! Hooray for getting there!!! Yeah, now!!! Yeah, that's it. And it started strangely!!!
And my sister🫂 call for help because she saw a Wolf!!!!!! This animal looks like it gave us strength!!!! We're like a bunch of zeros!!That they completely forgot that we can't go!!!! We just had to go a little bit!!!!!
And we just lost our fear.
It's just a magical place. But the path to it is not close and very difficult. It becomes difficult to breathe with each step, as the pressure drop is high. Steep mountains - they don't want to let you go up to the cherished place. We've experienced all sorts of things while climbing-emotions are off the charts. But it's worth it.
Be sure to walk up from the bottom and return as well. It's going to be very hard, but it's worth it. At the very top, you will feel light. There are water sources halfway along the way - clean and delicious.
We visited the place, we really liked it. We have passed the test for ourselves: it is not so easy to climb the mountain and descend, but if you do it, then Surb Hovhannes will fulfill his desire. In general, it's worth it. The place is very beautiful, the mountains are amazing. Candles and souvenirs can be bought all along the road. Even at the very end, when you go up to the Mathur (in Armenian it is a small chapel).
It was very beautiful for the 1st time, it was very cool to get into the rain. We had guys with us who were in sunny weather. And they say that I advise everyone to visit this place 2 times better. Very inspiring.
Strength, faith, hope, character, spirit - all this is manifested in this place! An incredible, extraordinary place where you are very close to God, with your soul, consciousness and thoughts. You need to go there.
Make no mistake that the climb will be easy, in places quite steep, slippery (it rained two days ago). They did not dare to go down because of slippery shoes (however, people went down in slates). You are counting your strength, especially the ability to breathe normally in the mountains. God may help, but not everyone :)
In general, the ascent costs 10,000 drams, the descent costs 5000 drams. The car usually accommodates 6 people, two of whom are in Spartan conditions.
The place is beautiful, worth a visit!
A place of power. We were on April 4, practically alone. We got up in 40 minutes slowly. It is a very spiritual place, blissful, filling with faith, kindness, and love.
This place is a must-visit! you need to climb on foot and with a purpose. a holy place. There are a thousand khachkars at the top, which are installed by people who have had a miracle or well-being in their lives after climbing.
If you have garbage and you are going to come here, bring it with you, here the pilgrims have tripled a huge garbage dump in front of the holy place, you can throw it out too.
