There is a mosque nearby, every morning between 4 and 5 a.m. be ready to wake up.
It felt like the mouthpiece of the mosque was pointed directly at the window of my room, it couldn't stand it for more than three days.
Eggs are served for breakfast every day, but they can be cooked in different variations - with vegetables, omelette, fried eggs, etc.(you should not count on poached meat).
A nice terrace, there is a place to wash your clothes - something like a laundry on the roof.
The manager is a clear man who controls all processes from the very morning, and most importantly eats the same as the visitors in the morning - that is, eggs.
Bargain before you rent a room, there is nowhere in Africa without it.

The hotel is well recognized by the brown balconies, there are no such nearby, but the name of the hotel hangs quite high, you can not see it from the car. The entrance is on the left from the alley. The hotel has a good location - exit directly from the narrow alley of Stone Town, which is so pleasant to walk in the afternoon - people are very open, friendly, a lot of shade, because the streets are narrow - only a bike will pass, many interesting buildings, close to the river port and many boats for trips to Prison island and the Disappearing island of Nakupendu (trip 40 dollars per boat, large boats, 10 people, with a canopy, just for Prison - $ 20). There are ATMs and a huge market nearby. Also, go to the Lukmaan restaurant for 20 minutes where a huge baobab grows, small inexpensive portions - try everything, wonderful inexpensive washes, waitress Rosie is the best. Fatma and Selenium girls will always help you from the bottom of your heart at the hotel, smile at them more. Breakfast is delicious, normal, like everywhere else. The air-conditioned rooms, those with balconies and facing the street, are a little noisy, it's normal for us, even more fun, but if anyone is sensitive to noise, take rooms facing the alley.

Good location. Near the historical part of the old town, with the city beach, 10 minutes to the market and bus station. Quite. It's not five stars, but the price is not high either. We only spent the night and were on the road during the day. The score is 4 because it would be possible to slightly improve the little things.
