The stay at this hotel has exceeded all expectations! From the very first day, we were surrounded by a cozy atmosphere and caring staff. The location is simply magical – the hotel is surrounded by greenery, fresh air and beautiful nature, creating ideal conditions for complete relaxation.
The rooms are spacious, bright and very clean. Cleaning is carried out regularly, everything is always neat and tidy. It is clear that the staff pays attention to each guest and tries to create maximum comfort.
I would like to mention the hotel's infrastructure separately. There is a large swimming pool with slides on site, where you can have a great time for both adults and children. For those who like to relax outdoors, there are cozy gazebos that are used as a dining area, as well as a barbecue for cooking delicious barbecue.
Everything here is thought out to the smallest detail to make your stay not only comfortable, but also memorable. We will definitely come back again and recommend this hotel to our friends!

A good place to relax. The rooms are clean, the territory is well maintained, the staff is polite. The food is delicious, especially the breakfasts and dinners. The pool is spacious, there is a Jacuzzi with warm water. Wi-Fi doesn't work everywhere, but that didn't spoil the experience. Overall, the stay turned out to be comfortable and the atmosphere was pleasant. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, then this option is worth considering.

We had a rest in the recreation area "Old Castle" in the village of Tamchy on Issyk-Kul – and it was just great! The complex itself really impresses with its architecture, it feels like you are entering another world – a medieval castle with towers, cozy courtyards and green alleys.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and have everything you need. Large well-maintained territory, nice to walk around, enjoying the view of the lake. The beach is just a couple of minutes away, and the water in Issyk-Kul is, as always, clear and warm.
Special thanks to the staff – they are very attentive, polite, and always ready to help. The restaurant has delicious cuisine and a wide selection of dishes. I especially liked that there is a swimming pool and recreation areas with gazebos – an ideal place for a family holiday.
I definitely recommend the Old Castle to anyone who is looking for a cozy and atmospheric place in Issyk-Kul! I will definitely come back here again.

It's a wonderful place, the best we've found in Issyk Kul! The territory is chic, the castles themselves are very beautiful! The rooms are clean, decent, everything is there for convenience, they are also stylized like castles a little, there is a large swimming pool with slides, sauna and Jacuzzi, on the first coastline. The rest was wonderful, I definitely recommend it!

Don't set foot here, people! Behind the beautiful pictures are hidden:
1. Dirty bed linen that has not been changed for 15 years, if not more!
2. The furniture in the rooms was probably inherited from my grandmother. And these carpets...
3. The TV is convex and not working, you should have something to talk about!
4. It is difficult to move around the building because of a complex, incomprehensible project. You spin, you spin, and you go up. And with things to move through narrow doors and corridors, well, is it necessary?
5. Philip is the manager of the hotel, although it is difficult to call it a hotel, a complete zero and is not competent in solving simple tasks. There is no way that a camp of 7 people with children would not like this terrible place right away. I reacted to the request to return the prepayment and the desire to leave simply with indifference. I will seek prepayment already with law enforcement agencies, Philip!
6. And it's not beautiful in the territory! It's just that the photographer picked up such angles for you. Walk, circle until you get there, everything is in a chaotic state.
7. If you have claustrophobia and arachnophobia, then welcome! Will you test yourself🙂
Since we stopped by in the evening, we had to spend the night and in the morning immediately left for another super place in Ololoakzhol, an 8-minute drive back towards Bishkek.

Definitely, this is a “Hilton" by local standards. I couldn't find a better one, believe me, I tried.
I'll start with the fact that I got to Tamchy by accident, I didn't book anything, and, moreover, I've never been there in my life.
I had an early flight from the airport nearby, which is why I frantically started looking for a room in order to leave my bag and enjoy the beauty of the lake. As soon as my foot set foot in the central district of Tamchi, they immediately began to tear me apart in all directions, offering rooms with combined accommodation with unknown people and amenities on the street, having fought off everyone, I boldly went looking for myself, looking into all the "rooms" offered, and they are there at every step, almost desperate and in tears, I met the guests of this hotel, who did not let the flame of hope inside me go out to the end.
In the "Old Castle" I was warmly welcomed, they came into my position and placed in a chic, spacious room with a TV, a small refrigerator, a lot of outlets around, which is important, everything is clean, bed linen smells nice, a separate bathroom with a bathtub, hot water on a regular basis.
Absolutely the entire entourage around corresponds to the name, moreover, the style of the hotel combines a medieval castle in accompaniment with an Asian chinoiserie. Indeed, it's like being in an old castle, mentally it unloads a lot and helps to relax from the pace of the metropolis.
The territory of the hotel is a pleasure, an abundance of trees, shrubs, greenery, rose bushes can be admired endlessly, admiring, again, there are wonderful gazebos for any company and even for one, in the evening a very cozy atmosphere, thanks to garlands, by the way, the famous lake is 1 minute away, but if you get tired of leisure there then you can pass the time with table tennis (you will be kindly provided with equipment) or billiards. I would like to thank Philip for his organized leisure and warm welcome. You have a wonderful four-legged friend. I will definitely come back again.

A good base, I liked everything, clean, the staff are polite, they don't let outsiders in, they feed delicious. The yard looks like it's in a forest, rivers and fountains, a swimming pool, everything glows at night, in general, it's cool!
It is less than a minute to walk to the beach, the beach is ordinary, as everywhere in Issyk-Kul.

Good afternoon
It was at the end of June , the cost per day is 2,800 Russian rubles with breakfast . The rooms are very old, there is an unpleasant smell in the room. The window was always open. The only plus is the green area and the birds sing in the morning. At the end of June, the pool was not working , the workers were repairing everything after the winter and preparing for the season . I took breakfast, very meager: porridge, flatbread, 2 pieces of cheese, butter, tea. The garbage has not been thrown out in the room all week , towels are not changed . Maybe I should have asked , I didn 't ask . There is no hair dryer , no iron , one outlet in the whole room. The Wi-fi worked well. Beyond the territory there is a wild beach, catamarans from entertainment.
Also a nuance, I asked to bring a hygiene product to the room at the end of the rest ( I won't go into details), but nothing was brought. There are no establishments for lunch and dinner outside the territory with normal sanitary conditions .

I didn't like this place from the word at all.
In the room, all the walls are decorated with mosquitoes and their remnants, cobwebs between the walls and beds.
If you still decide to come here, then you can either take food with you or go to a cafe in Tamchi. Because the food in the cafe is not bad, but in the Castle itself only one soup was similar to what we usually cook for a dog. I'm sorry. Please note that the beach is public and it is not very clean, but in general you can swim.
It may not be that expensive here, but don't expect too much.
