Zhezkazgan railway station left an ambiguous impression. On the one hand, it performs its main functions: trains arrive and depart according to schedule, the staff is polite and tries to help if you have any questions. There is a waiting room, the ticket offices are open, you can buy a ticket on the spot.
On the other hand, the station needs to be upgraded. The interior is quite outdated, there are few seats, especially during rush hours. There are no basic amenities like clean toilets, and there are not enough outlets or vending machines with food and water. There is also no Wi-Fi or charging stations, which has become standard nowadays.
It is worth noting the atmosphere separately — although the station is small, it feels its own special energy of Zhezkazgan. It's quiet and spacious, and if you're not in a hurry, it's even nice to just stand on the platform and look at the steppe expanses.
Overall, the station is coping with its task, but there is potential for improvement. I would like to see more comfort for passengers and modern service.
