Beautiful and stunning, the abandoned railway station of Kyalasur. It is located between Sukhum and Ochamchira. The station was named after the nearby Kelasuri River. The station was abandoned after the war in Abkhazia.
Until 1992, it was an operating station of the city, but after the 1992-1993 war, no one was engaged in its restoration. It is a pity, because the station was built in the classic "resort" architectural style typical of all railway stations in Abkhazia and with proper restoration one could see a beautiful snow-white airy building.
I hope to see Kelasur station restored one day.
There is a very good beach and the sea is good here, dolphins swim to the shore I saw myself when I was sunbathing in October 2023. If you are hungry, there is a shop at the public transport stop, and there is a pizzeria near the bridge further south. You can get to the beach by bus, I haven't seen trolleybuses this year.
