We had a rest in late April and early May, 2025. An urban-type hotel with no balconies. We were checked in ahead of time, immediately upon arrival (at 8 a.m., no extra charge), for which we thank them very much. The location of the hotel is excellent, 5 minutes walk to the beach, nearby, I would say, the best Dadonghai restaurant (always packed with visitors), as well as a shop with delicious, varied ice cream and fruits.
Room cleaning, towel change, water replenishment, hygiene supplies every day. Bed linen is changed every three days. There was no refrigerator in the room, after our request, it was brought to us. The room has very comfortable, wide beds, soft pillows, snow-white linen. (not all three-star hotels have such beds and a bed). The only drawback in the bathroom was there was no towel rail or at least some hooks, it turns out that I washed my hands, dried them and the towel is lying on the table next to the sink, wet, I also took a shower, the towel should be put immediately in the basket. Although they stretched the rope in the shower, but it does not save. Swimsuits have nowhere to dry either. I was hanging them on hangers, and I found a little ring by the window, by the curtains, by which I hung the hangers with the swimsuits. The air conditioner, I liked its location, there was no wind on the bed, you could sleep peacefully, the TV, but there are no Russian channels, a hair dryer, the Internet is excellent in the room, this is also a big plus, there was no safe, they did not ask - the money and documents were just in the suitcase. The breakfasts are delicious, I would like more fruits (watermelon, melon and some other not tasty fruit alternated). Of course, for us, slightly unusual breakfast dishes.
But in general it's fine, the main thing on the first day is to try everything and choose for yourself what suits your taste.
In the morning, when you arrive, they mark which room you are from, this is done so that you do not come twice.
There is a laundry room on the 14th floor.
The hotel pleasantly surprised me. For three stars, great!

They called it the LCD Trees. Residential complex Trees. They said that the developer was imprisoned for tax evasion or something like that. No one buys apartments in this residential complex. Moreover, there was a pandemic. The state bought this complex, probably at a big discount. But no one wants to move in there anyway. Now, it seems, there is a conversation about demolition....

At the beginning of October, we rested on Hainan Island in Sanya (China). We stayed at the SSAW Boutique Hotel for 9 nights.
The transfer from the airport to the hotel took us 30-40 minutes. We arrived at the hotel at about one o'clock in the morning, but we checked in at 14.00. We used the early check-in service. We were given rooms immediately upon arrival, while other tourists who checked in with us were told to wait until 14 or pay extra. They also asked the staff to change rooms to be on the same floor. In the afternoon of the same day, we were given another room without any problems.
The urban-type hotel is a single fourteen-storey building without an adjacent territory. We were not charged a deposit upon arrival.
The hotel staff does not speak Russian and English, we communicated with them through a Yandex translator. There is a hotel guide on the ground floor during the day, you can contact him for any question.
Number. The rooms are small, clean, but already a little "tired", there is no balcony. Towels are cleaned and changed every day, and bed linen is provided upon request. The room has 2 single beds (wide), central air conditioning, large plasma TV, no Russian channels.
There are enough hangers for clothes, bathrobes and slates in the closet (instead of disposable slippers). There is a safe in the room, but it does not work. Electric kettle, 2 cups, saucers and spoons. They put 2 bottles of water every day.
The bathroom is combined. The shower is enclosed by a glass door. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in dispensers on the wall. The plumbing is clean, everything works fine. The hair dryer is in the bathroom on a shelf under the sink in a velvet bag. The box contains a set of bathroom accessories: disposable toothbrushes with toothpastes, a comb, a nail file, discs and ear sticks.
Internet and applications. WI-FI is free in the rooms and on site, and it works fine. But we did not use it, as we issued local SIM cards. Since China has a ban on some popular Internet services in Russia, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Viber, YouTube, we have also installed a VPN in Russia. We downloaded an offline map and an offline translator.
Have you installed a Chinese card maps.baidu.com , something like Yandex.Cards. They built a route along it, tracked buses and ordered taxis in it (it turned out to be twice cheaper than if they took it on the street), paid for Alipay (Chinese application). Money was put there through a hotel guide and a couple of times they asked the Chinese on the street (they do not refuse).
Beach. The hotel is located in the central part of Dadonghai Bay, 2 lines from the sea. It takes about 5 minutes to walk. The beach is sandy and the entrance to the sea is also fine sand. There are no sand fleas in Dadonghai Bay. You can swim only in a special "paddock", it is fenced with buoys. If you cross the border, they start yelling and turn on the siren. The shower on the beach did not work (it costs 10 yuan), the foot washer 2 yuan worked fine. It is paid only by QR code, we used Alipay, there were no changing rooms. There are umbrellas and soft bags instead of sun loungers, they cost 60 yuan.
Food. Only breakfasts were included in the hotel, they were held on the second floor from 7.00 to 11.00. The food included Chinese rolls with and without stuffing, boiled eggs, vegetables, bread (you could make toast, but the toaster didn't work well), fruits (watermelon and melon), cornflakes, French fries, rice with water. Scrambled eggs, dumplings, soups and noodles began to be cooked at 9.00 a.m. Tea, juice, regular and vegetable milk, coffee from the coffee machine (constantly broke) were made from drinks.
We had lunch and dinner at the Dadonhai cafe, located in the courtyard in the same house as the hotel. The portions are large, inexpensive, the food is not spicy, delicious fresh mango for 15 yuan (chicken noodle soup – 18 yuan, with seafood – 26, Chinese dumplings – 30, peeled shrimp on cast iron – 68), the waiters speak a little Russian. You can also buy fruits there, a large selection, prices are normal. Fried ice cream is made from fresh fruits with coconut milk.
There is a large supermarket on the opposite side from the sea. You can also buy fruits there, they can be cut for you.
I liked Hainan Island very much, the Chinese are an interesting nation with their own views on life. Everyone is friendly and friendly, always ready to help. I liked everything about the hotel.
