Be sure to come to this monastery. It is extremely cozy and bright here. This monastery was founded by the Holy Princess Euphrosyne of Polotsk in 1125. It is here that the oldest temple in Polotsk is located - the Transfiguration Church, built in the middle of the XII century. (The church is currently under restoration, but in 2025 it will be available to believers). The relics of Saint Euphrosyne are kept in the main cathedral and believers have the opportunity to venerate and pray to them. If you travel to Polotsk, then take the time to visit this monastery with a very interesting and difficult history. The most famous monastery in Belarus. A historical place. In the Holy Cross Cathedral (1893-97) - a shrine with the relics of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk. The monastery itself was founded by the saint in 1127. There is a big reconstruction in the monastery. The Transfiguration Church is closed even externally, but the frescoes (the first two layers before the 12th century) can be seen in the Polotsk Art Museum.

I went to write notes about my health and repose and received a wild portion of negativity from the woman who received them. Firstly, I listened about my church stupidity, and secondly, this woman's attitude towards Russians is extremely negative. I received a recommendation to defend the service and thus, there is a chance that the Lord God will give me brains. I'm shocked!!!!
Plus, being an architect by profession, I asked how long the temple complex had been rebuilt and in response I heard that the architecture of the monastery had been in a ruined state for a long time due to the fact that Belarus was in the occupation of the USSR.
