A beautiful place . Just got to my home country from Italy. Vatican city a very beautiful and historic place. Didnt have tickets to see the Sistin kapel but it was still worth it
St. Peter's Cathedral is a grandiose creation of art and spirituality, the heart of the Vatican and one of the greatest architectural wonders of the world. Its majestic facade impresses at first glance, and a spacious portico leads inside, hiding the incredible luxury of the interiors.
Under the dome, designed by Michelangelo, you feel like a part of eternity. Every element here, from the marble columns to the magnificent Bernini canopy, is filled with grandeur and meaning. And under the altar lies one of the most revered places of Christianity – the tomb of St. Peter.
Climbing the dome, you can see Rome from a bird's—eye view - a view that is impossible to forget. St. Peter's Cathedral is not just a temple, but a symbol of faith, art and the greatness of human genius.
A fantastic, stunning Temple! We were tempted to go there during our entire 8-day Roman trip. First, we went there in the evening, for a 6-hour evening service after visiting the Vatican museums. First, we spent the whole day in museums, then in the Cathedral. Then they came after visiting the Castle of St. Angelo... And the final time is on the last day before the flight to Moscow...The most memorable is Michelangelo's Pieta... The temple leaves an unforgettable impression with its power, magnificent paintings, frescoes and sculptural compositions...My only regret is that we didn't manage to climb the dome... Apparently, this is the reason for the next trip to Rome... And yes, the entrance to the Cathedral itself is still free. To climb the dome and tour the underground rooms - with tickets.
An extraordinarily beautiful temple, both inside and outside. A large square with a fountain nearby. We examined the cathedral from the inside, behind the sculpture of St. Andrew the First-Called there is an inconspicuous staircase to the minus ground floor, we went down there. Then we went up to the top in the elevator, you can look from above. There is also a separate entrance with a fee to the very top of the cathedral, under the dome. First you take the elevator, then there are many steps up the narrow stairs, some can only be overcome with the help of a rope. The dome offers an extraordinarily beautiful view of Rome, St. Peter's Square, all the sights are visible: both the Colosseum and the Forum.
Amazing experiences for the rest of your life! A grandiose place, scale, centuries-old history, amazing creations of masters, works of art and architecture, atmosphere! Go up to the observation deck under the dome of the cathedral, take a look around. And there is also a beautiful square in front of the cathedral, Swiss guards, a fountain...
The largest cathedral I've ever been to. The queue moves quickly: we arrived at 8 a.m., went in at 9 (it was the last week of October). We visited the domes of the cathedral, bought an elevator ticket. Next, you need to go through it yourself. In my opinion, people with overweight, breathing problems, claustrophobia will find it a little difficult to climb narrow stairs
I managed to visit this temple 3 times! The queues aren 't that big! The place is certainly amazing! Memories for a lifetime! There is a lot of space and light!
Huge. Beautiful. Historical. Ancient. Sacred. A stronghold of Catholicism. The support of the Vatican.
Being in it, you get lost. You understand your worthlessness and meager size compared to the WORLD. But at the same time, you feel like a part of the WORLD and you are filled with power.
Powerful. Not to say or sing.

It is a very beautiful historical building. It's huge inside, the dome is just gorgeous. Murals, statues. A cool observation deck, an interesting climb, magnificent views.
Very impressive. Probably from the whole trip to Italy, one of the most striking events.
The interior is decorated, my head is spinning. Goosebumps. I want to look at each fresco over and over again, I recommend reading on the Internet before visiting. There's a gate there. Four. The service was when we were.
The square in front of the Cathedral accommodates up to 500,000 at a time.
Free admission on the first Sunday of the month. Entrance to the Sistine Chapel is charged separately.
It's fascinating. Incredible murals and sculptures. The relics of St. Peter are kept in the basement

It's not the first time I've visited. This time, already at a conscious, mature age, all the time there was a feeling that Christ had no place in the cathedral, except for a copy of Michelangelo's work, they practically did not find it and turned the Cathedral into a monument and a crypt for Popes of varying degrees of sinfulness. Of course, this is a superficial, slightly one-sided view of such a grandiose structure with such a rich history, but it has its own truth.
It is amazing how people created such masterpieces several centuries ago. Very beautiful! Very big! We visited together with an excursion to the Vatican Museums. I highly recommend visiting.
Incredibly, I recommend you to visit! I'll come again!
Don't forget to send postcards to your friends from a nearby post office

A majestic place! It shocks and fascinates with its scale and splendor! The pope's service can be seen in the cathedral.
Michelangelo's Pieta sculpture was very impressive.
A must-visit!
For those who come to the cathedral for the first time:
-Entrance to the cathedral itself is free (there is a queue in front of the entrance, everyone is allowed through a metal detector frame (the queue moves very quickly, so I don't see any point in paying for the proposed quick entrance)
-disposable women's shawls to cover shoulders and knees are given free of charge at the entrance (so do not spend money buying an unnecessary handkerchief from pestering peddlers on the square in front of the cathedral)
We went to an organ concert on January 2, 2024. I'm thrilled! A real organ. The wonderful sound of the organ. Excellent performance. Excellent acoustics!
I advise you to come to the cathedral early in the morning, because at this time you can get here without waiting in line, even on Sunday! I REALLY liked the cathedral itself! An incredible atmosphere, someone calls it a prayer! The special feeling is indescribable! You can go down and see the tomb of St. Peter-it's also incredible! Special feelings! You must definitely visit here!
Terrible queues !
I wanted to climb the dome, enjoy the view
To get only to the entrance, you have to stand in line for an hour and a half!
It's just a nightmare!
These "smart people" have made a narrow neck of 3 pass frames at the entrance, and thus create literally kilometer-long queues
I made a video on purpose, I walked around the whole queue in a quick step in 4 minutes! 4 minutes Carl!
It's incomprehensible! How could you create such a masterpiece several centuries ago without modern technology? Thirst for creativity, a symbiosis of talent and inspiration! One can only bow before the genius of the Italian masters!
Huge, impressive in its scale, you feel like a bug. Admission is free, but the queue is huge. I read that it is better to come in the morning, so that there would be a smaller queue, but in the afternoon there was no queue on the contrary. Be sure to go down to the grottoes. It's free, it says that you need to register in advance, but we passed without registration
An incredible and unforgettable place 😌🤩
I really want to come back here again 😇🙏🏻

The temple is of incredible beauty and size ! I really want to go there again! I was there twice with my husband and son, went for a walk in the evening from the Cathedral to the Supreme Court of Italy along the Tiber. We saw Pope Francis at a public audience.
I was shocked by what I saw, probably the strongest impression in Rome, such a magnificent building, there are no words to describe, it must be seen, on the last day of the trip I even got to the service and the Pope's speech inside the cathedral
The eternal city! The Vatican is a special place in Rome. The cathedral is stunning in its luxury, scale and beauty. The impressions are indescribable.
Just think - there is an entire country on the territory of only 44 hectares, where it is interesting from the outside, and what is stored inside, where the uninitiated are not allowed to enter, is indescribable at all...
I've never seen anything more beautiful in the world (maybe I haven't seen everything). I have never experienced emotional feelings, emotions and sensations when visiting other religious shrines. Thank God that fate gave me the opportunity to touch the shrine! I hope to come back here at least once....
Let's go up to the dome of St. Peter's Cathedral.Peter's staircase, first inside the cathedral to the platform under the dome), then to the top of the dome at the base of the lantern observation deck outside. The ticket is 8 euros.(the elevator costs 10 euros, but the elevator, only to the base of the dome, to the top only with legs). The coolest quest for all ages from 7 to 52 years old! exactly.👍👍👍Of all the objects I visited in Rome, I wanted to visit the dome once again, as soon as I went down. The very process of climbing with the change of stairs from a wide shallow to a narrow spiral is no less impressive than the view from the observation deck ( despite the grid).10 points out of 10👍
