A must-visit when traveling to Kekova Island. The old town is living a new life (tourist) at the foot of the fortress. The views are amazing, the fortress is cool.
Simena is an ancient Lycian city that has transformed into the Turkish village of Kalekey over two thousand years. The main attraction is the fortress of Simena, which, of course, is not Lycian (probably with the exception of fragments of the foundation), but was built in the Byzantine period, although some fragments of walls and buildings belong to the ancient Greek and Roman periods.
