The days spent at this hotel were my best experience of my entire trip to Thailand this year, I enjoyed almost everything, I was lucky with the hotel. I liked the territory of the hotel - well-groomed, tropical greenery and flowers, location right on the beach, simplicity towards the guests (no pathos, no comments, 0 stress), but at the same time good service, comfortable rooms.
I liked that the hotel has everything from breakfasts, smoothies, a la carte restaurant with good cuisine (all right on the beach), a good massage, to parties, while everything is calm and beautiful. There are many aesthetic details, everything is created for your pleasure (including terraces in front of the rooms, photo zones on the territory of the hotel, beautiful landscape).
The hotel is located 10 minutes by tuk-tuk from the island's largest and most crowded beach (Sai Kaew), from the center of life and shopping (7-11), on the small beach of Ao Rai.
This is essentially a beach with two hotels: Silverside Resort and Sam Villa resort. The entire area of both the beach and the hotels is very beautiful.
The beach itself is sandy, white, and wide enough, with large rocks on the side of the beach that add beauty and drama - you can sunbathe and take pictures on them. Beach towels are provided at the hotel reception. The sun beds on the hotel's beach are arranged in three rows, rather tightly to each other. Nearby there are small private beaches (100 baht per sunbed), and just calm beaches without sun beds where you can sunbathe on the sand. the beach strip is long, the choice and variety are large.
In the morning, you can watch the sunrise on the hotel's beach (the sun is just rising from this side).
In the evening, I liked to come to the wooden sun beds of the neighboring hotel, located next to the beach, under palm trees, overlooking the sea.
Territory. Reception, restaurant in front of it, tables are located all the way to the beach - you can have breakfast and dinner with a view of the sea. The breakfast buffet is simple - you can choose hot, there are three types of fruits,
natural pineapple juice.
For dinner, I ordered food from the menu - the prices are quite OK, the food is delicious, there is some spicy non-Asian food on the menu, everything is fast (even the waiters arrive quickly).
There is a smoothie bar next to the restaurant,
the only drawback is that all drinks are strictly iced (there are alternative places near the hotel).
There is also a photo area with a press room and chairs nearby, like an open-air lobby. In front of the reception and the restaurant (i.e. at the very Entrance to the hotel) there is a disco and a beach bar. the disco was open 4 of my 5 nights at the hotel. this is the central party on the island - on weekends there are a lot of mopeds near the reception in the evening, party-goers from all over the island come together)). Music - the hits of the last 10 years mostly include electronics. Discos and loud music end strictly on the island at midnight. There is also a fire show on the beach in the evening).
There is a massage point at the hotel on the beach, I was lucky to have a master - smart, kind and professional, she gave me a ligament massage - she helped me reduce pain and relax. Massage costs 450-600 baht, and they work until 18:00.
The entire territory of the hotel is very beautiful, surrounded by tropical greenery, beautiful large flowers, ideal for photos.
Rooms - the hotel consists of single-storey houses with spacious terraces. the room has a safe, wardrobe, spacious shower (pressure is only weak). I didn't have a full-length mirror in my room. The air conditioner turned on by itself. cleaning is daily, the bed is changed if necessary.
Near the hotel there is a tuk-tuk stop (taxi), shops, laundry (100 baht / kg), a strip of beaches, and a little further there are various bright bars in the jungle. By the way, they sell staff in bars, it's cheap.
In general, my stay at this hotel was wonderful, I recommend it, if I go to Koh Samet again, I will be happy to return to this hotel.
We were here for 2 days and 1 night. The room was very nice (we had a separate bungalow), the hotel itself and the restaurant (daytime/evening) were generally liked.
Breakfast is nothing. My wife said that this is the first hotel where she doesn't want to eat anything for breakfast. Even the noodles were spicy.
The impression that the hotel's disco is open until 12 at night was greatly spoiled. You can hear it in all the rooms, as if the party is right in front of the room. I understand that this is not a negative, because people are having fun, but we had 3 families with young children in our group (including us) and it was very difficult to fall asleep.
The restaurant is obscenely cheap. Rice with meat cost 90 baht. There are 150 in the nearby restaurant. The restaurant itself charges a 10% service fee, but even so the prices are cheap. You can't wait for the staff, because there are a lot of people. They don't cook fast, but the food is delicious.
Bottom line - if I have the opportunity, I'll come here again, but I'd rather look for something less pop and more family friendly.
Great! Very nice hotel, cleaning every day and everything you need is there. We had a room on the 3rd floor and the view was beautiful and quiet. Breakfasts are normal. The beach is nice, but during the day they bring Russian tourists there and there are a lot of people. We went swimming next door
