For such a culturally significant place, this is a very reasonable price per room. The hotel itself is a bonus to the shadow theater. The famous master of ancient art even holds performances there, but we were passing through and did not see the event itself. The location is excellent — the hotel is located in the old Chinese quarters of Hutong. This is a two-storey house, some of the windows of which are panoramic and overlook picturesque old alleys. The room had a raised bed. Flat shadow puppets, elaborately carved from leather, hang on the walls. For performances, these modular dolls can be painted, and the shadows are colored! Modularity implies the possibility of movement of individual parts of the character's figure during the performance.
A very stylish small hotel dedicated to the Chinese shadow Theater, there are performances in the evenings. The staff is helpful, many people know English. Among the disadvantages are small rooms, no breakfasts, and it can be difficult for a taxi to get to this street - it is very narrow.
