The views of the sea are fire and this is the only advantage of this establishment. We ordered Tom-yam and brought just a spicy stew. The two portions have different contents. There was not a single shrimp in one serving, but 4 mussels. But in the other 2 mussels and 2 shrimps, the waiter said that this dish was still properly made. Rough. We thought okay, maybe the full landing of the cook could not cope, we went in the afternoon the next day we gave this institution another chance, ordered a boat, a barbecue and a frying pan in Abkhazian from the dishes... and again the bottom... it is impossible to eat an over-salted boat, a dry kebab and a frying pan with hard meat. Only the vegetables in the pan are normal. There were 3 tables in the cafe and the chefs cooked such a mess again🤦♂️
Nearby cafes are much tastier and even a little cheaper.

During my vacation, I loved to have breakfast and lunch at the Shater restaurant. Especially on the summer terrace. The view and the atmosphere are a separate art form. Adequate prices, there are both ordinary soups and tom-yam. The breakfasts are appetizing and hearty. Khachapuri, pizza, rolls, salads, pasta. You can find a dish for every taste.

Delicious food! I would especially like to note the presentation of meat in Abkhazian, the dish is watered with tea and set on fire, it looks very impressive! But this is more for men, since the portion is large and it was a little fat for me, but it was delicious. They took a cradle there, boats, everything is delicious. We also tried rolls, too. The guys work fast, the wait is a maximum of 20 minutes, but it's not noticeable if you're outside, admiring the sea view, if you're in a tent, then the DJ was entertaining. A great place, the only modern restaurant on the coast! All five days of rest in Gagra, we had lunch and dinner only here.

If you still have not decided on a cozy place for dinner, if you are looking through the photo menu in search of something special, if you are at least a little spoiled by the service of Russian restaurants (yes, yes, we have this), then think 10 times before going to this cafe. Or better yet, pack up and go to the already proven dining room.
All the main features of the Abkhazian cafes, restaurants (if you can call them that) and apatskh have not bypassed this institution.
I will try briefly:
1. Lack of service.
Immediately get ready for the fact that at the entrance to the establishment you will have to look for a waiter yourself to take you to the table. The hostesses in the institution, as well as in Abkhazia as a whole, have not been heard of.
Most likely they won't say hello to you and definitely won't smile. If you need a waiter, it is better to approach yourself, because they do not like to pay attention to visitors.
Ask in advance about the time of serving the dishes. This question will not affect anything, you will just be able to time it. Serving the first course after 40 minutes with a half-empty hall is normal. And ask for the bill in advance - it will also be carried to you for 10 minutes.
2. Kitchen
It is difficult to describe what is not there, and it is even more difficult to realize that these Caucasian chefs do not know how to cook a grill / grill at all. Meat, fish, vegetables... everything is a nightmare.
In my opinion, Armenians cook best in Abkhazia.

If you are new to all of the above, if you liked this place and you did not get an upset stomach after the hike, then consider yourself lucky and try to buy a lottery ticket.
