An excellent oriental-style hotel, built on the site of an ancient caravanserai, inside there is a courtyard with samples of ancient utensils found during excavations, ancient wells.
The hotel is located in the most convenient location of the old city, a few dozen meters from the main entrance to the Old City, near the famous Maiden Tower, dozens of restaurants of national cuisine, near the filming location of the "Diamond Hand", convenient location allows you to freely walk around Baku, everything is within walking distance, viewpoints for replenishing the tape in the insta).
The staff speaks Russian, there is a shuttle service to the airport, but hiring on the street is cheaper by 10-15 manats, at least.
The breakfasts are good, the buffet is good, there is enough room for everyone, the restaurant offers a great view of the city.
One of the disadvantages would be the smell of paint on the floor periodically, but it was practically not felt in the room.
It is better to take a room with a window facing the street, with windows to the courtyard of the well, all conversations from the lobby will be heard.
In general, I recommend it.
A great hotel with locations in the old town.
The rooms are very different, but generally of good quality, there is a spa area, it is not always clear how it works, there are difficulties with organizing visits.
Good breakfasts and a generally good restaurant with a great view of the city, with good cuisine and reasonable prices.
A solid four and access to all the familiar places of the old town within 5 minutes
The hotel is beautiful underneath, good locations for photos. At the top there is a terrace overlooking the city and the Caspian Sea.
But the rooms are old, especially the plumbing. We had a room that was a 5-minute walk away, then you take the elevator up, walk through the corridors, then go down, get lost in the corridors again, then go up. There is noise from garbage cans from the street. Breakfast is also so-so. Coffee is a problem. But nice staff and convenient location. I'll take a different hotel next time.
The hotel's convenient location for hikers is just outside the gates of the Old Town. There is no parking.
We need to look for Russian-speaking staff. The receptionist and the receptionist can only say hello and wish you a good day in Russian.
I liked the atmospheric courtyard-well with samples of ancient utensils found during excavations.
The interior is not bad, but with traces of fatigue. Cosmetic repairs are required.
There are non-smoking rooms. This is a photo from the window of one of them. The hammam is quite decent, a good gym.
The worst hotel in all my travels. It's not 4 stars. That's 3 at best, and that's a stretch. The ventilation system is not working, as stated by the reception. But it makes noise and warms the room.
There is actually no window on the 2nd floor, because you are looking through a hole 1 meter by 1 meter of brickwork. Towels and bed linen are washed.
Breakfasts are like in the cafeteria at school. Coffee from a large pot, water of an incomprehensible taste. Cucumbers and tomatoes are like in Moscow, not like in Baku, where they are grown. There are no normal breakfasts, I don't even advise you to pay for them there. It's better to have breakfast outside the hotel.
Well, the sound insulation - since there is nothing to breathe in the room, the window, although with little access to fresh air, is always open, and we all heard all the noises from the neighbors above, from the lobby of the hotel.
A four-star hotel with a minus. The main building has nice newly renovated rooms. In the back of the hotel, standard rooms are in need of renovation, terrible old plumbing, crumbling bathroom furniture and rusty shelves in the shower. Breakfasts require special attention from the hotel management. In principle, there is a good choice, but the staff is not in a hurry to replenish the finished dishes, there are not always plates and appliances.
Of course, the location of the hotel compensates for all its disadvantages…
Very convenient location - close to all the attractions. The rooms are decent, cleaning is done daily, there is a kettle in the room + black\ green tea and coffee, shampoo, shower gel, slippers, thread with a needle - everything is in place))) I am writing about this on purpose, because when we were going there, I did not find this information))) there are 2 channels on TV in Russian, but there was no time to watch them))) The breakfasts are delicious, varied, with pleasant music and wonderful views of the city👍 The staff is attentive, the hotel itself is very atmospheric
A very beautiful and cozy oriental-style hotel. It is very conveniently located in the inner city of Baku within walking distance from Fountain Square. The room was very clean and fully corresponds to the description in Yandex, through which I actually booked it. It is especially pleasant to wake up in the morning with such colorful views of the old town from the window
We booked a hotel in December 2024. For May 8-12, 2025. Azerbaijan Airlines cancelled the Moscow-Baku flight 8 hours before departure. The next flight is only on May 10th. The trip is scheduled on certain days (vacation), in a limited time. Accordingly, there was no way to come to Baku on May 8-10. We live in the region of the Russian Federation, we got to Moscow by train. The flight there has been cancelled. The funds were returned. The hotel did not take into account the circumstances. The money for the accommodation was not refunded !!!!!! We paid for the entire period of stay! "Excellent" service!!!! If you were planning to go later, never again!
We lived for 4 days. The staff is helpful. The location is very convenient. There is also a historical center nearby, it is convenient to walk to the embankment, the metro is not far away, restaurants for every taste are nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are good. Not cheap, but worth it.
Three stars only because of the autograph. The breakfast is good. Everything is delicious. It is quite diverse. Everything else is a maximum of two. Despite the location - for a maximum of one night. The rooms are either adjacent to the production ventilation systems of the restaurant or the windows overlook the wells. At least that's what they showed me. Thanks to the hotel staff, we tried to find room options. As a result, I chose one with a window into the well with other windows. At least quietly. The rooms are already in need of renovation. Not a cozy hotel.
A luxury hotel.I lived there for a week in January. It is located in the heart of the old town.good breakfasts.the staff is attentive.the whole attraction is within walking distance.I recommend
Great hotel. We got here by chance, according to the proverb "there would be no happiness, but misfortune would help." Choosing an apartment in the city, because of the disgusting living conditions and torn water pipes, they were looking for a place where they could stay, this particular hotel turned out to be the closest. I do not know if it was luck or not, but there was a free room, the guys at the reception helped to arrange everything quickly, met, placed. The price is not small, but the hotel is located right in the old town, excellent breakfasts, many restaurants nearby. Definitely a very good accommodation option.
Nice hotel in the old town, all the main attractions nearby. The staff is very friendly, always ready to help. Delicious breakfasts, spacious room, cleaning, change of towels - daily. The room has everything: a kettle, a tea set, a toothbrush, gels and shampoos, slippers. I recommend this hotel for staying in beautiful, sunny Baku.
We really liked this hotel for its location, beautiful interior, and excellent cuisine! After the tour, you can use the SPA.
We had a vacation with my husband and teenage daughter in April 2024.
I was at the hotel in January 2024. The room is clean and warm, cleaning every day. The room itself is large, comfortable, with a sofa, coffee table and armchair. The hotel is located in the city center. Iconic places are within walking distance.
The hotel is excellent. The room was in good condition, the breakfasts were of high quality (buffet unlike many other hotels on the territory of Icherisheher). The location is convenient: and a taxi can drive almost to the hotel itself (there are 30 meters to walk), and you live inside the old town! The staff is responsive and speaks languages quite well. The interiors are gorgeous, the view at breakfast is wonderful.
Very nice hotel!!! The "spirit of antiquity" has been preserved. The kitchen is very good. The staff is wonderful. The courtyard is magnificent, as if you are passing through time!!! Thank you for a good rest!!
It's beautiful only in photos. You can go to the museum, you don't need to live there.
The location is convenient, interesting from the historical side - that's probably all.
The hotel is not bad, the location and service are excellent. The bathroom is a bit old, sometimes there is a smell of sewage, but in general it is good! I would have come back again - yes!
Great hotel in the heart of the city!
I recommend staying at the Shah Palace Hotel, and having lunch and dinner at national institutions nearby!
The staff is very responsive and organized all the tourist trips that we discussed with them in advance.
It is a distinctive hotel designed in oriental style. It will be even better if some repairs are made. Its location in the city center is great. Good choice for guests.
Not a bad hotel. Very nice rooms. Cleaning let me down a little . Especially in the bathroom. There are rooms facing the courtyard, which is covered with a glass roof. There is no daylight and no fresh air either. The curtains cannot be opened, as people walk under the windows. Not very comfortable and dark .
Not a bad hotel in the old town. Pleasant breakfasts, a good number of rooms. The price is above average, but it is enough for the location. Within walking distance of cafes, shops, the embankment and the shopping center
Wonderful hotel, convenient, comfortable!the lifts are 10 meters from the entrance, just brilliant! The breakfasts are delicious and varied, the coffee is not bad, the waiters bring it, the espresso is beyond praise!
The hotel is good! Arriving in Baku, you immediately immerse yourself in history, in addition, it is located in the Old City.
Good restaurants nearby and very tasty!
I recommend it!
The location is just super, the hotel is very authentic, you immediately immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the old town. I accidentally came here once, I immediately decided that I would stop when I had an opportunity. But, the staff is just awful, in fairness they respond to all questions promptly, but otherwise it's just hell, shamelessness has been elevated to the rank of a rule. Maybe it's different with foreigners, but they obviously don't like local customers here.
On the last day of the stay, the door opened without knocking and a reception employee entered. I was changing clothes at that moment and was completely naked. No one at the hotel even apologized. And I still have a question: what was the hotel employee trying to find in my room. It is known that most often the personal belongings of guests disappear on the day of their departure...
I wrote to the hotel about the transfer. They replied that there was a car for 40 manats, and requested data on arrival. I sent the data, the hotel did not respond, but the company through which I booked the hotel replied that there was no car for such a price, but there was
for 70 manats and asked to confirm. I did not confirm anything, but ordered a taxi from another company, and on arrival at the hotel they demanded money from me for the service provided. Use a local Bolt or Uber taxi. It will be twice cheaper and without unpleasant surprises.
A wonderful hotel in the Old City of Baku - made in oriental style, perfectly located. During the stay, we have repeatedly observed how tourists come to the hotel to admire the atrium. Communication with the staff was a pleasure - all nice young people, caring, attentive. I recommend you to stay!
