We stayed at the hotel in the middle of September 2024. We had a wonderful rest. Polite, customer-oriented, always ready to prompt the staff (reception, in the dining room, cleaning). The hotel also has medical and travel services (the staff is also polite and considerate). There is a buffet in the dining room, and the food is varied. The room had a view of the mountains + we were lucky with the weatherI recommend it!

We had a rest for 4 nights in May, everything is quite tolerable and even good for Abkhazia!
Clean bed linen and towels, room with sea view. Unexpectedly, a new bathroom after renovation (5th floor). A buffet with a moderate selection, everything is quite tasty at home.
Those who write that the hotel is bad, or something is not satisfied, probably compare it with a good Turkey, which is not worth doing!

Everything was fine: food (buffet with a moderate choice), rest (quiet without fuss, with mountain views), air conditioning in the room, kettle working, beach with sun beds (and very clean) within walking distance, service (administrators ready to answer any question and solve it), but there were also cons, the room has a falling off whitewash near the bathtub, the laminate is swollen near the bathtub, the curtain is short and therefore all the water on the floor and in the corridor are smeared mosquitoes (although there is a fumigator in the room, only without plates, or maybe the inhabitants did not know about it)
But in general, the hotel is nice and quiet, and most importantly, within walking distance of the beach, shops, market.

We had a rest in July 2023. I liked everything very much. The room is small but cozy, eats everything you need. The person is polite. Cleaning is daily. I don't understand how you can do a massage on the beach? Unsanitary conditions. Hands are not washed, but not only skin diseases of previous clients, but also energy are transmitted through the hands of a massage therapist. In San Marina, Yuri's office is clean, single sheets, sinks, you can choose massage oil or even ointments to relieve pain. And on the beach, they scoop oil out of one jar with unwashed hands. Ugh. Although I will not go to Gagra to rest anymore. Noise, crowding, a narrow strip of beach, no greenery, boats, bananas, etc. constantly come up, they can hit you on the head, the smell of sewage interrupts the smell of the sea. Alas.

We stayed at this hotel for the May holidays from 04/29/25 to 05/06/25. We liked the hotel, it is located in the very center of Gagra. There was full board. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, the food was delicious, a large selection of dishes. Cleaning was done every other day, linen was changed once every five days. Shops are within walking distance, and the market is a 3-minute walk away.

It is very convenient that there are medical services in the building, you can contact a pediatrician (it was useful to us) and other specialized specialists, and if necessary, do an ultrasound. The prices are reasonable.
There are over-the-counter medications in the pharmacy. You can buy everything you need.
The sea is within walking distance, clean and transparent. And even in early May it is warm.
Excursions can be booked directly at the reception, prices do not differ from those offered on every corner.
It is better to book a transfer at the reception. (The prices will pleasantly surprise you).
I really enjoyed my stay in San Marino.

Certainly not a restaurant. Of course, rotavirus has not bypassed us. The main thing is to take antibacterial wipes with you. My husband and son were turned off from rest for a day. We took a first-aid kit with us just in case. You need to wipe your hands and appliances. How many people have passed, so many have touched the tongs with which we take food. I wiped everything, so the rotavirus bypassed me. And there is another problem. The shower curtain is hanging very strangely in the bathroom. All the water flows down it and directly onto the floor, not into the pan. And so I really liked the rest. We'll come again.

We had a rest in this boarding house in August 2024.
On the plus side: the beach is a 5-minute walk away. The food in the dining room is delicious, there is plenty to choose from. There is a medical center in the same building, which I had to apply to. There was a hair dryer and a fumigator in the room, but no records.
Of the cons: I didn't catch Wi-Fi on the 8th floor. We arrived 1.5 hours before check-in, we had to pay 1,500 rubles for it. The towels and sheets looked washed, but with yellow stains. It was unpleasant. We used our own towels. There are dead mosquitoes on the walls.
They were poisoned on the fifth day of their stay and for health reasons had to change their tickets and leave no earlier than a few days. The management of the boarding house returned the money.
The cause of poisoning is considered to be the sea (rotovirus)

We had rotavirus for one day, but after talking with the locals, we realized that this was not only a problem for our hotel, but for the whole season in Abkhazia. There are a lot of construction sites, all around construction, and not only dirt. We went on a lot of excursions, very beautiful nature! On the beach, sunbeds are provided for free, but without a mattress. The sea is not bad, there are sticks that float. Prices for everything are decent both at the market and in stores. Mostly cash goes out, cards are not accepted everywhere. In general, it is necessary to go to Abkhazia in 5-8 years.

My parents stayed at this hotel, I liked everything, the food was delicious, clean and cozy room with air conditioning and sea view. The big fat minus is rotavirus, so stock up on remedies for it and diarrhea, for two days out of 10 parents lay in the room without leaving with diarrhea and weakness in the intestines, and then for another 3 days they went with an upset stomach. We rested for 7 days in Novaya Gagra on Abazgaa 59/2. The location of the apartment is convenient 500 meters from the beach, near the market and many small shops. The apartment itself is difficult to live in: there was a constant lack of cold and hot water, the restoration of water supply had to wait a very long time, after the toilet for half an hour it was impossible to wash your hands, it was impossible to wash the dishes, the shutdown was every twenty minutes, the water supply in the apartment was individual in other apartments there was no such problem, the drain tank did not work, broken shower, tap water is not drinkable, old furniture in the rooms that crumbles (sofa), cockroaches appear in the bathroom and in the kitchen in the morning.

The music screams from morning to night, how many times we looked at this place, and we passed from the room and nearby, there are no people, but the music screams right near the market. Perhaps this is how people are lured. It is impossible to relax in the room, you can't hear the TV, you have to turn it up. We understand the resort, rest, buzz, this is not alien to us, but that the music that can be heard even with the windows closed is either bravo to them, or a minus to the hotel. Perhaps after a few complaints from the guests, the owner or his daughter will talk to them, but for now she is yelling. And the pool, which the owner's daughter mentioned in the reviews, has been under construction for three years.

We were with friends in June 2023, from 20.06. The hotel and the territory are beautiful, cozy rooms, clean all around. The food is varied and delicious. But you can't eat fruits right after lunch, you have to in an hour!
And the beach is not fenced with buoys on the water, boats and scooters constantly swim up to the shore between the heads of swimmers at speed and loudly agitate for a ride....They laughed at the discontent of the swimmers and continued to race along the shore. And they say there was already a case of a woman's back being injured by such reckless drivers near the shore... Please enclose the beach area on the water. We are resting together with my mother here at the moment. We did not book in advance, we arrived and checked in after the fact (it turns out that not all hotels check in this way). We took a standard room. The room is nice, spacious enough, clean, daily cleaning, the hotel has 3 meals a day. The food is delicious, but the food is monotonous. For the amount that they took, it's generally ideal. There is a cafe on site-there is food and fire. I advise you to visit if you check into this hotel.
We lived on the 8th floor. The only disadvantage of the hotel is the elevators (there are only 2 of them), which can accommodate no more than 4 people. They stop at every floor where there will be a call. Well, for me personally, it's bad that there is no pool. But when I moved in, I knew about it. Therefore, this is not a minus, of course.
The only disadvantage of the cafe is the "shabby" furniture. But we had a rest in October-I think the visitors managed to "shuffle". And now it's the end of the season.
It takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the beach. There are sun beds from the hotel. There are no umbrellas, but that's not a problem for me either.
Also, a friend with a child moved into a junior suite on the 9th floor. I hung out with them. The room is good. But, she will probably write her opinion later.
In general, this is not the first time I have been on vacation in Abkhazia. And this hotel "asks" me to come again. It just beckons. If next year we don't go to a hotel with a swimming pool, then we will definitely come here.❤️Abkhazia, ❤️San Marina Hotel.

I read the reviews before the trip. There were a lot of negative things, but we have nothing negative to say, everything was fine. The room is clean, two sets of linen and towels. Including beach towels!!! There is a wardrobe and bedside tables for things, two floor lamps. There are a lot of mosquitoes, be sure to take fumigators! The shower has all the washing facilities, a good toilet paper Papia. A towel under your feet, a trash can. The hotel has a dining room, the food is delicious, homemade. There is not much choice, but everything is fresh and there are all the main dishes for a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is clean and the staff is pleasant. The beach is close to the hotel, 100 meters away. There are free sun loungers on the beach, without umbrellas (take them with you). There is a very busy road in front of the hotel and the noise does not give rest day or night, and behind the road there are a number of hotels really first line. The road to the sea (obviously not 200 meters) bypasses these hotels along a muddy path. Secondly, the beach is not landscaped at all. No umbrellas, no toilet, no shower. Thirdly, music rumbles under the cafe windows and smells of burnt oil until nightfall. Fourthly, a lot of people suffer from rotovirus. Both my neighbor and I were ill and recovered for a long time.
