A three-star hotel.
1) After all, they are going to Egypt to see the fish. The reef is dead here. Of course there are little things, but there is almost nothing to look at in the whole Nabok, naama Bay or Sharks Bay is another matter, everything is beautiful and colorful there.
2) The hotel itself is large, if you do not gild the handle, they will give you a room in 6-8 buildings near the water park. And it will take 8 minutes to get to the sea.
3) The food does not shine with variety. It says that today Mexican cuisine, tomorrow Italian. And the trays are all the same every day. Drinks of course are jupi, Cola fanta, wine. Coffee is also a powder from the vending machine with the same milk from the powder. There are no frills fried eggs on the street.
4) The beach is big, but the sun beds are all rolled up. The nail is sticking out, then the back is broken. This is the only way to drive a splinter. There are mattresses that have seen a lot of life. But the biggest luck is to find a wall from the wind. The wind is either blowing off your feet here, or just strong. But the wind is always there. That's why there are so many windsurfers here. The bar is constantly running out of beer, but sometimes they give bottled beer in a plastic cup. After lunch, there is a burger with potatoes.
The biggest problem is apartheid. If you have a green bracelet, then the main restaurant is not available for you. They say that both restaurants are the same, but this is not the case. According to the green bracelets, it is smaller. The main one is for red bracelets. But changing the color of the bracelet is still a challenge, only through a scandal. And both restaurants don't wash the dishes well, the appliances are all worn out. Sometimes there is no bowl for soup, then spoons, then juice glasses, then coffee cups. And when you ask them to bring it, they will wash it and bring it.
But those who buy a gold bracelet for $ 20 per person per day have no problems. There will be a tent on the beach, a separate restaurant where there will be fruits. And they even run a trial massage. There will also be a normal Internet connection throughout the hotel. And a room on the sea.
And the rest, suck on the tuna. Not only is the free Internet dead, it's also turned off most of the day. This is the case in many hotels in Sharm El Sheikh now. They even divide one hotel into several, so that one is expensive and good, and the other hotel (the same one in fact), the second line, their sun beds and their shabby restaurant.
If this hotel is going to be sold very cheaply, it may not be a bad thing. As it is, I will not come here a second time.
We were with my husband from April 19 to April 30, 2024. The room stock is outdated, but the view from the window to the sea is beautiful. The territory of the hotel is large and green, it is pleasant to walk, there are many benches in the shade of trees. Due to the large territory, the rooms are quiet (you can't hear discos, animation, water park and other entertainment). They are poorly cleaned (well, or we have different concepts of cleanliness).
The food is without frills, but everyone will find food to taste and will not stay hungry: there are fish, chicken, vegetables, and fruits. But they don't really know how to cook beef. Soups are always too salty for some reason. Drinks in the assortment.
The Royal regency is part of the regency group of hotels, they are all located nearby. There are some differences: Royal is closest to the sea, tourists from Italy mostly rest, animation is in Italian, the staff almost does not understand Russian, and, as it seemed, the attitude towards Italians is better.
Near the beach, the sea is shallow and very warm. In order to swim at depth, it is necessary to go to the end of a short pier.
The hotel is so-so. Not exactly 5*. The rooms are spacious, everything is there, but everything is old, and the furniture and plumbing. Russophobia is rampant in the hotel among the staff. The food is quite good. Alcohol is disgusting, extremely disgusting. In fact, there is no reef. The pier is stationary, about 400 m, convenient, but there is nothing to see there. Swimming from the shore is unrealistic.
