2.04 We went to lunch with my wife. We took two pastas (with shrimp and salmon), Roman pizza with artichokes and tea with currants. The pasta was fresh, very hot, but slightly flat in taste, which is why they asked for extra parmesan and ground pepper. In general, it's OK, it's fine.
Next, we ordered a Roman pizza and it didn't work out.: it was so liberally doused with balsamic vinegar that there was no taste or filling at all — just vinegar and acid. They couldn't eat, so they asked for it back. The staff was polite, went to meet her, apologized and did not include her in the bill. Thanks for that.
Alas, the first impression is ruined. I don't want to go back
It's a very pleasant place. And the pizza with beef carpaccio with plums and artichokes is just a masterpiece!!! And + a glass of cool, dry white wine is not just delicious, it's very tasty. The best pizza in town.
Among the advantages: a very pleasant stylish interior, a cozy family cafe, friendly staff
Of the cons: the cafe is very stuffy, the air conditioner was turned off at the time of our arrival, we could not stay inside because of this
We took a Roman pizza (margarita) to take away:
1) A lot of oil;
2) very little cheese;
3) a very strange filling, as if the pizza was just left with tomato paste from a jar, small pieces of mozzarella and sprinkled with basil on top.
I'm fine with canned tomato paste, most pizzerias don't bother and do it with it, BUT it should be delicious! In this case, it turned out not quite pizza, the taste is more like fried bread, which was first dipped in sunflower oil, and then in canned tomato paste. I wish the cafe prosperity, but the filling needs to be worked on, imho.
