A wonderful budget urban hotel in the very center of Istanbul! It takes about 10 minutes on foot to reach Sultanahmet Square in one direction and the shore of the Marmara Sea in the other.
There are also bazaars nearby, where souvenirs and sweets and food (many cafes) are much cheaper than in tourist centers. A bright colored staircase leads to the hotel, which is a great place to take photos!
The hotel itself is clean, it smells nice everywhere. A narrow spiral staircase leads to the rooms, which is quite steep (but this is the case everywhere in Istanbul). They will definitely help you with the bags! Very friendly, helpful and friendly administrator (I think he is the owner). He started cooperating with us at the hotel booking stage. He can arrange excursions or transfer to the airport. We used the last service and were very surprised when the doors of the premium aato opened in front of us!
The room itself is tiny, but ergonomic. Snow-white bed and mattress (a separate plus - towels greeted us in the form of butterflies on the bed!), there are slippers, soaps, gels and shampoos. On the first day, there was also a bottle of water for everyone. The bed is comfortable, wide, and of a tedious degree of rigidity. There is a small refrigerator, a bedside table with a lamp, a wardrobe with hangers, a kettle, cups, air conditioning and even a sink in the room. The bathroom is clean, the water pressure is excellent, and hot and cold water is supplied around the clock. And the bonus to the room is a tiny balcony, which, however, is nice to go out in the morning and look at one of the old narrow streets of Istanbul!
We will definitely come back when we decide to go to Istanbul again!🥰
I liked the hotel, convenient location, close to the center of the old town. A small room, a good mattress, a micro shower, a refrigerator, toiletries, a kettle. There is a great track on the top floor. One of the disadvantages is a steep staircase, until you get up, your head will spin. There is no elevator. A steep climb to get to the hotel itself. There is no sign - this is an ordinary high-rise building in appearance. It is cool in the room during the cold season.
I really liked the hotel. Not far from the sights. It is very convenient to get from the airport, the bus stops just a few minutes on foot from the hotel. The owner is excellent, friendly, customer-oriented, speaks Russian well. Excursions can be purchased from him. There are many shops and restaurants of different price categories nearby. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are small but cozy. Slippers, bath accessories, very comfortable mattresses and pillows, clean bed linen.
Gorgeous terrace with sea view
WiFi is free
I liked everything - the devices themselves, the hostess, the location, even the construction (demolition of the building) outside the window at the time of our stay did not spoil our mood.
Great hotel. I had a rest there in 2021, at the beginning of autumn. The view was on the courtyard, where the view is not very beautiful. But if you, like me, considered this hotel as a place where you need to spend the night and get on the road again, then it will suit you perfectly. The hotel room is small, but it is quite enough for one, there is even a small balcony. TV, air conditioning, shower stall. There is everything for a comfortable overnight stay.
The stairs are really very steep, if you carry a backpack, you can easily climb. If you have a suitcase, you will have to try not to fall :)
Geographically, the location is just chic, the city center, the grand bazaar, everything is nearby. Of the possible disadvantages, a very hilly area, if walking is difficult for you, think several times. And should you check in here)
Of the advantages:
1. The terrace. It is open to all guests, gives the opportunity to have breakfast, lunch and dinner with a view of the Marmara Sea. If you try very hard, you can see the Blue Mosque.
2. Location. A large number of attractions are within walking distance, there is a shop and a park nearby. Several blocks up the street are occupied by shoe dealers, shoe stores in every building. Sometimes shoe dealers leave footprints in the form of pieces of packaging, so it can be relatively dirty on these streets in the evening.
3. Wi-Fi. It worked very well for scrolling purposes, with no complaints about speed.
4. The atmosphere, the overall impression. Safe, friendly, clean, quiet, everything works. The owner speaks Russian well, and so does the cleaning lady.
Of the cons / features:
1. No elevator. You will have to climb up a narrow and rather steep spiral staircase. If you are traveling with a large and heavy suitcase, it will not be very pleasant to lift it up such stairs. In this case, it is better to stay on the lower floors.
2. The size of the room. It's a little cramped in a standard room, two people won't separate in the aisle between the wall and the bed. It's fine for an overnight stay, but no more.
3. Architectural appearance, location. The hotel itself resembles rather a narrow entrance. Literally two houses down on the opposite side of the street there is an "abandoned building" of not very attractive appearance. It spoils the impression a little from an aesthetic point of view.
A very nice place!
The owner of the hotel and his wife are very sincere and hospitable people, by the way they speak Russian, cleaned the room every day, a huge plus that there is a terrace on the 6th floor, generally 10/10
Nice room with a comfortable bed. There is a refrigerator, sink, kettle. The bathroom is clean. The main attractions of this part of Istanbul are nearby. You can easily get from this area of Fatih to another area of Beyoglu by tram, to the stop 7 minutes on foot. On the 6th floor there is a terrace overlooking the Princes' Islands and the sea. Shops, cafes are all within a few minutes of the hotel.
I have sore knees, it was very difficult to walk up 41 steps twice a day, morning and evening, very high. Special thanks to the administrator. To the maintenance staff-two, dirty. I did the cleaning myself from improvised means. The view from the balcony is great. The air conditioner is super. Wi-Fi is good.
Excellent apartment, very good reception, if there are no people, you can come earlier than the agreed deadline. There is a hot water supply, the location is super, everything is nearby.
Great price, nice room, pleasant host, everything you need in the room is there, beautiful view from the window, only it's cold in the room, but the air conditioner saves. Istanbul has a very steep terrain, so I always sat in the room
It was when the veranda was closed.
Cheap (if not cheap, then there is no point in settling there)
A very sociable host.
Unfortunately, he insists on giving his hotel 10 points on booking. You don't have to do that.
