They were in November 2024. A great place to relax. The ocean is magnificent, transparent, calm.
The hotel has a very friendly staff.
The rooms are equipped with everything you need, cleaning if necessary.
The food is delicious, but you have to wait, as everywhere else in Sri Lanka.
I would go back there again.

It was at the end of February 2025. The hotel itself is so-so, in fact the rooms are large, but the renovation is old. There are no special complaints, everything works, but the appearance of the room leaves much to be desired. A good option for those who only need to spend the night in the room. There is no refrigerator in the room. That's where the cons end. The location of the hotel is excellent! And the most amazing thing is the beach with a reef, clean sand and no strong waves. There are many small restaurants around the hotel for every taste and budget (Italian, Russian, Sri Lankan cuisine). Entertainment options nearby within a 1 km radius include surfing, swimming with turtles, and free diving. There are 2 railway stations and several bus routes within walking distance. There are 2 supermarkets nearby. The hotel really has pools, there are two of them. A small paddling pool for children and an adult where you can swim.

Good day to everyone. I want to share my opinion about this hotel. I hope that my review will be useful. We have been in this "wonderful hotel" since 12/30/24. Hotel 2 with a minus. You can't connect to wi-fi. There is no refrigerator. Safe - a tin box with a handle (a la shoe box) was brought. I haven't worked with my neighbors for 5 days. The rooms are moldy, the floors are painted, the doors are a piece of chipboard without handles, the furniture is made of wooden bars painted yellow. The first thing that came to mind was to go home on the same day. The breakfasts are very very meager (except for the flies, of course). New Year's Eve dinner - noodles and pasta with some kind of creamy sauce with unpeeled shrimps and small crabs in shells. 02.01.25 we moved to another hotel (Koggala Beach Hotel 3*) at our own expense.
Despite the fact that both hotels are 3*, the difference is heaven and earth!
Take my word for it - I've been to many countries and hotels, but this is a natural homeless place! Don't be fooled by flattering reviews about this hotel and excuses - like this is Asia, what do you want? He's not worth your money or your emotions. We went to another hotel and it saved our vacation. In general, Sri Lanka left only a positive impression and a desire to return to this country once again.
