May 2025. a cozy place in the very center of Baku. pleasant music is playing, the atmosphere is relaxed. extensive selection on the menu. I especially liked the Fisanjan pilaf with pomegranate sauce - the perfect combination of sweet and spicy, without "kinks". kutabs are also delicious. the prices are adequate, and the service is top! in short, I recommend the place to visit, you will not regret and get acquainted with the Azerbaijani cuisine.

When we first visited this restaurant, Ramiz served us. When placing an order, he not only asked our wishes, told us the specifics of the dish, politely and unobtrusively advised taking into account our wishes. Considerate and respectful! Qala Divari is our favorite restaurant in the old town. We spent almost all the evenings of our vacation in this restaurant. The guys are great, they work around the clock, unlike other restaurants. Delicious cuisine, high-quality alcohol. The atmosphere is very cozy. All the waiters speak excellent Russian. The restaurant is located in the Old City of Baku, not far from the main entrance.
It's atmospheric, there's live music on weekends, and a fairly varied menu.
We ordered a plate with various types of shish kebab and here came the disappointment, the mutton is tough.
The waiter complimented me and brought me a small portion from the restaurant.
In general, I recommend it, like everything in the Old Town, the cost is above average.

Our favorite restaurant in Baku, we have tried many places, but this is definitely the best. Locals say it's the best restaurant in the Old Town. The food, especially the meat, the service, everything is fine. And despite the popularity, there is always a free table. A great place to eat with the whole family! We were here 8 years ago and decided to return! We were not disappointed at all - we were greeted as the most dear guests! The food was very tasty and inexpensive for a tourist center. Luxurious lamb kebab with pomegranate sauce, dolma, kutabs! And the quince compote is just a miracle!

The food is about nothing! Service per unit, i.e. there is no service at all (depends on the waiter) !
Baku salad is sweet and sour, delicious, but only the first few spoons - therefore it is better to take it for several people so as not to spoil the aftertaste (if there is a whole portion to one, then after a couple of spoons you will get tired of this taste, because neither the taste of tomatoes, onions, or greens is felt, but only sour-sweet sauce ). A large portion of salad! (10 manats)
I took a pan of fried potatoes with liver and heart - nothing special (just food). The portion is very small! (9 manats).
Tea is 6 manats.
Pumpkin tortilla is delicious! (1.7 manat).
The waiter only advised what to take (he told me in detail - we must pay tribute), the advantages ended there! He didn't fit anymore: neither empty plates to take away, nor used napkins, and then he disappeared altogether.

Guided by the reviews, we visited this restaurant.
We were not particularly enthusiastic.
The staff is certainly great, they do everything quickly and friendly.
We ordered an assortment of kebabs, all the meat turned out to be rubber, some pieces were just well burnt.
The customers sitting at the tables by the window were smoking and the smell of tobacco smoke completely clogged the taste of the food.

We ordered a lamb entrecote and they brought us two dry small cups of 2 cm on the bone without meat. The portions are sooooo small. Disappointment. I do not recommend this place to visit, especially if you want to have a delicious hearty meal
