The island is quite large - two mosques, a school, a bank branch, three football fields of different sizes, a police station, a polyclinic, many restaurants, shops, children's and sports grounds.
For tourists, there are two bikini beaches where you can strip down to swimsuits. The beaches are small, but there is enough space for all vacationers. The entrance to the ocean is gentle, the water is incredibly warm and transparent. Fish and crabs are found everywhere. Small sharks can be seen on the nearby beach.
Since we settled in the opposite part of the island from the beach, we were lucky enough every day, on the way to the beach and back, to see all the colors, explore all the flora and fauna of this paradise place.
My daughter and I once even decided to kayak to a nearby uninhabited island. The rental costs $10 per hour. You can also sign up for excursions here.
For tourists who are like us, for the first time in the Maldives, impressions, I think, will be enough.
Now, a month after our return, I still remember those few happy days with love and longing.
The marina is nothing special, there is no building where you can wait or any other services. There is a small canopy with uncomfortable bollards. In general, the island does not make an impression. There are a lot of crows and their cawing is heard all the time around, sometimes a gloomy feeling is created from this. In general, it does not give the impression of the Maldives from the picture, maybe some other islands are more pleasant, but this one can only be used as a cheap point for excursions for the Maldives. Since it is impractical to rent expensive housing in which you will not stay much, but only on trips on excursions.
Judging by this island, the Maldives is highly overrated, a bad beach, only one for swimming in swimsuits and then with coral stones at the bottom, housing is the cheapest from $ 50, which is cheap for the Maldives, there are racks with excursions from the marina along the coast to the bikini beach, there are with Russian-speaking tour operators. I highly recommend the swimming with Sharks and stingrays eccourse. I do not recommend evening fishing for $ 30.
But in my personal opinion, if there is Thailand, why go to the Maldives?
But at least Once it's definitely worth visiting the Maldives, but it's on Mafushi only if you transit to another place like I had and had 3 days free, or just to run without overpaying for accommodation and a boat to other more distant islands to go on excursions.
