Acarlar Lake, which covers an area of 1,562 hectares, is one of the important tourism centers of Sakarya. Acarlar Lake Longoz Forest is a first-degree natural protected area. Acarlar Longozu, which is located within the protection zone, dries out in summer and forms with a puddle in winter.
The surface area of Longozun is 1,562 hectares and its depth is up to 1.5 meters. The lands of longozun, whose waters recede in summer, are used by the villagers as agricultural land. The area of Longoz is completely surrounded by ash forests, and these trees are sometimes introduced into the marshy parts of the lake.
Animals such as pheasants, snipe and wild duck live here, and freshwater fish fishing is carried out. Fish species that come out of the longose; There are many types of fish other than yay, red wing, carp, pike, oklama and these.
Acarlar Longozu is also home to about 2300 plant species. Water violet, water tulip and water lilies of various colors are some of them.
