I came by accident. I started walking from the observation deck. The river and the mountains hypnotized me. I reached the clearing. There are springs along the way where you can replenish your water supplies. There is a place of "quiet water" in the clearing where you can swim. From the observation deck to the clearing is 8km. Almost all the time uphill. Minimal physical training is still necessary. It went up for 4 hours, down for 2. Be sure to take food with fast calories, otherwise it will be hard. The beauty is extraordinary. I recommend it to everyone.
The road to the clearing is good and well-trodden. The main thing is to keep to a wide path and not go off on a retreat. There are signs and gazebos where you can take a break. There are streams where you can replenish the water.
Set 3.5 hours for ascent and 2 hours for descent.
The clearing itself is pleasant and smooth and there are many places where to put up tents. Nice view of the BAP. And other peaks.
In the morning, we were pleased with a herd of mountain goats as many as 12 individuals!)
* But please do not feed or leave food. Wildlife will cease to be such and it is not necessary to disrupt the food chain.
The place is windy, plus and minus.
There is a witch's creek where you can get water and swim!)
Terra Glade is a fantastic place! We were here for the first time a year ago one day and realized that this was not enough! That's why we came with a tent this summer and lived for three days! We held a clean-up day on the territory and took away three large bags of garbage! People, please don't leave trash behind! And if you see a stitched bottle or packaging, take it with you!
We also spent one night in a tourist shelter, this is a house with solar panels and a stove! It is very comfortable and cozy. They also cleaned up a little there and took away the garbage left by someone.
