It is noteworthy that the sand on the beach is special, black in color, and at first it is not familiar, but then it is perceived normally. In the heat, the sand heats up and it is impossible to walk barefoot on it, only in sneakers. The depth of the beach is small, the deepest is only at the buoys . It takes a long time to walk so that the water is at least waist - deep . It's safe with children, the waves don't pull as much as on the rocks. The shower and locker room are paid , 2 GEL . There is nowhere to change clothes if you have not provided for the availability of money with you . There are a lot of rescuers. There are very cool long waves in a storm and warm water. I recommend you to visit .

The healing properties of the sand on this beach are certainly impressive. The sand is fine. We reached the buoys, the water is waist deep. It is very good to relax here with children. There is a paid toilet, shower and locker room. To change clothes, you need to pay 1 GEL. Then, going home, you pay 1 GEL for a shower, 1 GEL for a locker room and 1 GEL if you need to go to the toilet. I think it's too much. If I pay for a shower (open outside), then I have the right to use a change of clothes. In Batumi, the shower and changing room are accessible and open. And on the Ureks they don't know what to charge people for. I paid 1 GEL per shower for two people, but the two of them went to the same booth at the same time and refused to pay for each. They didn't look at me that way with approval....

It was not to be forgotten!!! We visited sunny Georgia for the first time with friends. We stopped at the village.Ureki. In a hotel complex, the owner of which is an amazing man - Pato. It is a 5-minute walk to the sea. The black healing sand, the sea, the sun - all this will remain in our memory for a long time! We also visited many interesting places in Georgia. I would like to highlight Batumi separately! A beautiful resort town with an awesome pebble beach! I strongly recommend everyone to visit these wonderful places!

Ureki beach is not far from Batumi, about an hour away by car. There is parking, 3 GEL all day. A large clean beach, interesting sand, I have not seen this before.. sun beds, umbrellas for a fee. We were on the beach in Ureki, right in front of the Verona restaurant, to the right of the lifeguard point, we took 2 sun loungers and an umbrella, as always we swam before lunch, left things on the sun loungers, went to lunch, returned, our things (towels) are lying in a pile, our sun loungers and an umbrella are on sale again, the person giving the sun loungers for rent once again, he wanted to charge us 15 GEL, like they left, the place was gone, although we rented until the evening. He also yelled at us that we hung things on the spokes of an umbrella (in other countries it is allowed to hang shorts on an umbrella))). I do not recommend white deck chairs with a red label, a person who is simply unsuitable for beach maintenance is working.

After reading the positive reviews, my husband and I decided to go to the beach in Ureki, bask in the healing sands. We drove from Batumi by minibus 55, for quite a long time, 1.5 hours, taking into account traffic jams. We arrived at the beach at about 16 o'clock. They undressed and went happily to the sea, but they did not dare to enter it... Heaps of dirt floated in it, including animal excrement, feminine hygiene products, and toilet paper... I've seen something like this before after rain in mountainous areas, but to have so much mud... Moreover, it has not rained here for a long time.
The beach is also quite dirty, you can easily hurt your feet. There are piles of garbage around the beach and in the village. So the impression is so-so. Surprisingly, all this mud in the sea did not bother vacationers, there were a huge number of people there. Well, we didn't take any chances. I don't know if it's always so dirty there or if we're so unlucky. In short, we drove back without swimming. By the way, nothing like this has been seen on the central beach in Batumi all the time and the water is quite clean, nothing outsider floats.
