There is no beach as such, it is more a port for ships, there are places where you can go, but the sea is dirty. The wide embankment is the best place for walking! There is not much entertainment nearby, there is more of a residential area, perhaps there is a good beach somewhere nearby, but not in the very center!
The first time we were in Sukhum, the expectations were not fulfilled.

If you consider it as a swimming beach, then one point. Every 100 meters, a pipe with a drain goes out into the sea. In total, the water here in the sea is brownish greenish in color. There is no question of any clean Abkhazian sea here. You need to go swimming to another place, preferably outside the city.
