We rested at the Abaat hotel. We walked along the embankment almost every evening.
Unlike New Gagra, there are toilets at every step.
The coast is being improved, new cafes are appearing. We compare it with the previous visit, it has become much cleaner. There is no garbage that was there two years ago.
The shore is clean, there is no garbage in the water. The sea is clear.
It's a very beautiful place. There are few people. There are excellent tents available at a reasonable price (1000 rubles for the whole day). There is a cafe, a toilet, a locker room.
The beach throughout the old Gagra is about the same (medium-sized pebbles). Restaurants on the coast equip their own recreation areas with sun beds and umbrellas. Very convenient. If you ordered something at the beach restaurant, it's free. It seems to be the same everywhere.
The beach is great! The pebbles are mostly small, it is convenient to walk along the beach and enter the water. There are much fewer people than on the beach at the Caucasus boarding house. And the comrades with the "banana" almost do not go.
The only wish is that they put at least a couple of locker rooms.
At first it was a disappointment, we just got used to sandy beaches, but when we bought the coral sneakers, everything fell into place. Now you can't lure them to the sand.
There are a lot of stones, you can break your leg without shoes, peak riders ride back and forth on jet skis, picking up debris and waves.

A great quiet, sparsely populated place (compared to the Krasnodar Territory). Everything is great.

It's a nice beach, but it's quite small and there are always a lot of people. We try to choose wilder beaches for recreation, it's good that there is such a choice.

Night. Old Gagra. But walking on the beach and the surrounding area is impossible to complete. And for the bravest and swimming in the night sea.
There is a lot of space on the beaches. But there are few changing rooms. It is not very convenient to step on the bottom, large stones. But it's a thrill that there aren't many people. Just a dream. Toilets nearby are 20p. There is a cafe
This particular place in the photo is terrible as the green duckweed on the rocks and boulders. But a few meters away, everything is fine. But the quality of the seawater itself is spoiled by the Joequara river, which carries mud after rain

An unkempt place like the whole of Abkhazia. I went for a week and watched how there was an excavator there that was supposed to clean up the effects of the storm. He's been idling gasoline there all week. Nobody needs anything. What's the attitude, that's the beach. Don't set foot here anymore.
There are not many people on the beach, large pebbles, the sea is clean. I like these beaches. It will be difficult with children, because almost immediately there is a depth near the shore
What's gorgeous in Abkhazia is gorgeous and you can't get around it, even if you want to - these are beaches!!!!A wider beach strip than in Sochi and Adler, there are no large and large stones, small pebbles interspersed with volcanic sand. The sea is a completely different color than in Sochi, although nearby, it is some kind of turquoise and cleaner!
But the main disadvantage of these Abkhazian beaches is that there is no infrastructure: changing rooms, showers, sunshades, sports grounds!
The sea stinks of sewage. It looks clean, but the stench is everywhere. Plus the intrusive service, riders on scooters ride almost over people, plus feces, and the stench of gasoline.
A very beautiful beach and the views from it are stunning, but the pebble beaches are for an amateur. Of the cons: since my leg was injured, it was problematic for me to go into the sea (especially when the waves were getting stronger. For more comfortable bathing, there are rubber "ballet flats". Toilets are not everywhere.
+ The sea is very salty, which allows you to freely stay on the water. The color is awesome - turquoise blue, the water is the purest, you could see the color of the pedicure. I really liked it👍👌
