The place is interesting. The water is clean and was warm at the time of arrival. Sand dunes attract not only children, but also adults. There is a swimming area for children on the beach and a lifeboat station with a board project. You can grab something to eat at the nearby food truck.
But there must be a fly in the ointment in every interesting place. It killed people's attitude to the environment. Garbage and toilets in the bushes, where there are dumpsters on all sides and even a toilet. From the side of the pine forest there are remnants of camps and for some reason no one stands in their place. They make new ones from the same sticks and stretch films. Is it really that hard to clean up after yourself?
And I'll make a reservation right away for those who are picky about smells. From the neighboring cowshed, the smell of the guests' vital activity is periodically heard. Although these are small things compared to all of the above.
People! Take care of nature! You and I need to save it for our children! Clean up after yourself and those who have fallen behind with their heads.

Believe me, there are few such especially beautiful places in Belarus, I have been traveling to such places for more than one year and know a lot about it; clean water, amazing white sand like in famous resorts of the planet and all this is surrounded by a pine forest with clean air far from large cities and enterprises.To spend a week of vacation here only for the joy and benefit of health, To get to the lake.Katashi is best done by private transport or taxi.Take food, meat, coals with you, if there is an auto-refrigerator in the car or at least a thermo container with coolers, then you can stay for a long time.Also, drinking water can be collected in the village to its about 2 km.There is also a small shop there, but you don't really count on it, it happens that there is not even bread.Have a great holiday, everyone.

A great place to relax on the opposite shore for a long stay. This is the third year my family and I have been coming here. But there is one drawback. Exhibits with large speakers arrive. And a couple of them have to explain that in such places the music is until 23.00. There are a lot of children in this area. We plan to park in this city for 2 weeks👍👍👍

The beach is good, there are a lot of places to stay, but not equipped. There are no changing rooms, only two umbrellas, one wooden toilet.

Usually, places closer to the road, good access to the water and the opportunity to hide in the shade are dealt with first. Plus, there are huge expanses of sand hills where you can settle down, but it will be away from the car, you need to carry things.

The lake is like a lake, there is nothing more than natural, plus good sand...but there is not a single flat area where you can sunbathe normally, parking for cars is not organized, there is nowhere to change clothes, there are no toilets nearby, There is nowhere to buy drinking water.The dumpsters are far away.Just a wild beach with a lifeguard station.The second half of the beach, where you can stay overnight in an organized manner, a couple of dumpsters and a couple of toilets....there is no road with a low suspension, there is nothing to do there.It is not possible to safely approach the water everywhere.
The shop in the village is not working, we have to go to the neighboring village.

A very beautiful lake Katashi is surrounded by a pine forest, it is a former baked quarry.
White sand like the sea, clear clear water, but slightly cool. We are on the lake at an air temperature of 25. Maybe it warms up better in hotter weather.
The depth comes abruptly, three meters from the shore, you can't really swim in this for kids, and I was afraid🤣
There are garbage containers, toilets. To my great surprise, an employee went and collected the garbage himself near the tents (I have not seen this on any lake), we kindly said that we always clean up after ourselves, so as not to bother a person once again, and it is our duty to keep the place of rest clean.

This is our best beach in 2024!
If you are traveling to or from Brest and do not come here, it is a sin. After 10 minutes, the children all said - what do we care about these locks - we stay here!) The lake is on the site of a quarry, formed in 1979, the depth is up to 20 meters, the slope of the shore is strong. You can barely reach the bottom 5 meters from the shore. The water is the purest. The sand is clean, snow-white and warm. There is a cubicle, a toilet and a toilet.
Stop by and you won't regret it!

The beach is very nice. The sand is soft and white. The water is clean. The bathing area is fenced with buoys. The drainage works well. The beach is clean, garbage cans are located at the exit from the beach. The view is very beautiful, surrounded by a field and a pine forest. There is one catering point with water and homemade cakes. There is a RAIPO shop not far from the village. But with toilets, it's generally a complete jamb, we found only one, a rustic one, and to go into it is already a whole feat. So, as you know, the whole pine forest is mined. And there is nowhere to hide from the sun on the beach, from the word, in general!!!

Lake Katashi is a fine sand of almost white color, filled on both sides. My daughter liked it very much. The water is ordinary as everywhere in the Republic of Belarus, there are places to stop with tents, there are garbage cans, there is enough space to park the car. There are umbrellas, no sun beds.

A place from the category of mandatory visits. The purest water (quite unlike lake water, closer to sea water in transparency), very pleasant sand on the beach, the place is beautiful, the air is excellent (pine forest interspersed with birch). From the available service: a lone seller of cold ice cream and drinks, toilets like M and W, garbage cans (small trash cans on the beach for small ones) and.... everything. The rest is mainly designed to either come- relax-leave, or come and stay with tents (there is enough space- the forest is large, but all are placed in a heap closer to the beaches), the nearest store in the village of Katashi (so you will not stay without a minimum grocery set); you can also take a car to Kobrin, there is already enough stores of large Belarusian chains. What are the DISADVANTAGES: 1)some vacationers (most are still normal) do not clean up their resting places / campfires; 2) people who come with huge columns to nature, the main question is WHY? There is noise and music in the city/at home/at work/in the car. The thrill of nature is in the sounds of nature. Think about it guys.

We were lucky to be there when there were few people, and it was not comfortable, it's hard to imagine what was going on there during a large influx of people. There's a lot of paper, shit and garbage in the woods near the beach, sorry for the details. And the women's pads in the changing room were just killed.... How women can be such pigs is very difficult for me to understand, they probably also stuff used pads in their apartment, I can't find any other explanation for this... A great place to relax. The sand is a sight. Beach, water, forest. Fishermen will also be satisfied with the catch. However, it was possible to take a boat only near the shore, the convoy turned us around. Catch from the shore, lots of reeds and catfish! We rested in the tent for 4 days. There is 1 toilet, and several places with garbage containers. There is no outbound trade, we went to the store 1.5 km away. In general, it's great!

An interesting lake with a beautiful beach. The water is clean, visibility in the water is about 7 meters, which is simply amazing for our country. But swimming is dangerous. Since the quarry depth starts immediately. 2 meters from the shore and you're up to your neck, one more step and you'll leave with your head. Children need to be monitored. The water is always cold.
The beach itself is sandy, large and spacious. The sand is clean and there is so much of it that it seems like a lake in the desert.
Of the cons: due to the number of vacationers in the sand, garbage, no one will clean it up.
The place has turned into a drunken place. Everyone is coming here. You can put up a tent, but there is little space and most likely you will be very close to others or 300 meters from the beach in the forest.
They're coming here to get drunk. Loud music is heard from all sides until 4 a.m., until the owners of the speakers pass out in a drunken stupor.
Result. A great place to come for 1 day, go for a swim, leave. Going overnight, especially if you are a tourist and not a vacationer, is not an option.

It's a great place. fine sand, clear water, pleasant terrain leave all the reservoirs in the area out of competition. There are changing rooms and toilets in two places on the lake. One location on the lake is fenced with buoys and is under the close supervision of rescuers, in this location I recommend swimming to those people who are on "you" with water because in this location it is quite shallow and because of this it is much more comfortable for not quite experienced swimmers).
There are many wonderful places around the lake where you can put up tents and set up camp for a comfortable overnight stay, a lot of people do this on weekends and at night there are sometimes night discos near the lake))))
I recommend Katashi Lake for a must-visit, regardless of the reasons for visiting the city of Brest and the surrounding area.

Nothing special, we found an article where they write about this place that it is Belarusian Ibiza, we were led to drive from Brest for an hour by car. Well, in Russia we have such an Ibiza in every district center where sand was mined and the quarry remained. I do not recommend it as a tourist attraction, just relax the locals with a nice clean pond with a sandy beach.

Good evening. Last weekend, my husband and I vacationed on Lake Katashi. The impression remained twofold. On the one hand, I liked the clean lake, we settled down well with a tent. But the evening and the night were terrible. The music was blaring until 6 o'clock in the morning. It felt like the people who were vacationing there were competing to see who had the most powerful speaker. All genres of music were listened to. I really love singing, dancing and listening to music, but it was just trash!!!!! We don't go there with the tent anymore. And we also wanted to leave a 3-year-old child to spend the night. It would be better if we went to Bulkovo👎😭
