The reserve itself is excellent: there are many trails and paths along which you can wander with great pleasure. All this is surrounded by red-book Pizzunda pines.
You can rent a bike, but there will be the most expensive price tag (cheaper - in the Ldzaa park, even cheaper - at the fish factory).
Entrance is paid only from Gitsba Street - from Cypress Alley it will be free.
Moreover, if you come here not in the season itself, but let's say before June, then you will pay for admission, but NOTHING in the entertainment sector will work yet.
I also want to note that in fact, a much smaller part of the reserve is available than it seems on the map: the entire part from Gitsba Street to Ldzaa is closed. Previously, there were dachas of the Soviet elite, and now the territory of the FSB (according to a local). There is no access to the beach either.
The place is beautiful, you walk as if in tropical thickets, while towering huge Pitsunda pines. The paths in the reserve are surprisingly clean. Of the living creatures, only squirrels and greenfinches were encountered. They tried to walk along Gibbs Street in order to capture a bamboo grove, there is a booth there and they demand money for passage to the beach. When we said that we were not going to the beach, but only to look at the bamboo, we were told "either pay or leave." We went to look for another entrance, without stripping out of the blue. Literally 100 m from Gibbs Street along the shopping street there is a huge hole in the fence, from her tropic, which leads throughout the reserve. She'll take you to the beach. However, a man stands at the nearest exit to the beach every day in the morning and also extorts money for passage. Vacationers said that a "checker" also walks on the beach and asks to present a ticket. You will encounter these difficulties only if you want to swim, you can enjoy the nature of the reserve for free.
P. S. Bamboo grows wherever it is damp in May, there are the same "groves" along the Bzyb river and on the way to Alakhasy
It's a beautiful place. When we were in Abkhazia, we passed through the pines every day to get to the beach.Very tall and beautiful pine trees.Be sure to visit such a beautiful place!
