Good day to all! I want to share with you a little background of our visit to the Similan Islands and Thailand in general! In May 2023, my friends and I were in Egypt and for the first time we plunged "hamsters" into the abyss of the red sea!
And of course we did not remain indifferent, we planned our next vacation in this way: in Yandex, we searched for beautiful diving spots and of course there were Similans! And so in May we buy a ticket to Thailand, and preparations for our trip have begun! All summer we studied diving in our native lands, in Laspi (Republic of Crimea), and we were very glad that we were ready for a trip to Similan!
After we contacted Antonina, she told us that it turns out that you can go to Similan with permission to dive more than 18 meters. What we didn 't have 🥲
But, we were offered a learning immersion! That is, we have the opportunity to be certified in Thailand.
Upon arrival, we had a great pleasure from the dive safari. It lasted for 3 days and 2 nights!
Of the advantages:

We did not see any disadvantages from the point of view of the ship. But I recommend everyone TO KNOW ENGLISH because all briefings are held in English.

Instructor Yura is above all praise, smiles at you even underwater) does not ignore for a second when you dive for the first time, this is very important, because it is not possible to call or ask underwater. And he keeps you under control.
What is probably the most important thing, as a rule, instructors give you two attempts, if you didn't dive properly on two attempts, there won't be a third attempt (load on the instructor's eardrum, etc.)
I succeeded only on the 4th attempt and Yura, to his detriment, was ready to dive me to victory. He says, yes, I'll take the day off tomorrow, but you'll get high and learn.
As a result, we discussed the points that didn't work out with him, by the second spot I had already worked on the mistakes and plunged in the first time, on the third spot I was already swimming myself, and Yura praised me, he said it was better than average, you did well. If there had been another instructor, after two attempts I would have gone to the ship with the feeling that I was good for nothing and this was not mine. After the third sport, the emotions go through the roof and I am very pleased with myself and meeting Yura first of all. I recommend it to everyone, he will fight for you to love diving in every way.
