Excellent price/quality/location ratio. We spent a week on New Year's Eve. If the goal is to walk around the city, and consider the hotel as a place to sleep and relax for a short time, then Peker is a great option. Located within walking distance from the main attractions. The room is small, but there is a necessary minimum: a shower/toilet, a bed, a wardrobe, a refrigerator, a kettle, even an armchair and an ottoman. There is no table, but in front of our room (on the top floor) there was a glazed terrace with tables, where we had breakfast. There is a beautiful view from the bed in the upper room. If you get closer to the window, you can see the street, the neighboring houses (and workshops), and the roofs. But it's a living city. There is a spiral staircase leading to our room and the terrace without a handrail (this may be a problem for some).
Yes, we've never had a room cleaned in a week (but we also didn't put up a sign asking us to clean the room).
The staff is friendly and helpful, some know Russian, others English, and in case of misunderstanding, they used a phone with a translator. All issues were resolved.
I recommend the hotel.
It's a nice hotel, clean, and the staff is helpful. there is a private terrace with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus. There is one disadvantage that we haven't read about anywhere: the hotel is located on a hill (it's not easy to climb) and it's always dirty on this hill and there are a lot of women who sew fakes. In general, if you are not a squeamish tourist like me, then you don't care about this fact. Climbing uphill several times a day is hard, of course)
Wonderful hotel!
I traveled with my mother, who works as a maid in a hotel and she has a thing for cleanliness) So, she checked everything everywhere and everything turned out to be crystal clear!
More advantages: beautiful view from the window, soft and comfortable mattress, good lighting, and in principle the room is cozy and well renovated, there is a TV with Turkish channels, but there is also a YouTube channel - thanks for that! There were seagulls and coffee too.
As for the shower, there is good pressure, hot and cold water, in addition, shower gel and shampoo were also waiting for us on the shelf. The hair dryer is working, but standard, as in all hotels, the towels are clean, the set includes a towel for the head, a large bath towel for the body and for the legs, so for each guest.
Objectively, we did not find any disadvantages!
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to relax from the road, even in such pleasant conditions! 😉
Positive:
- terrace
- location
- Russian-speaking reception (at night)
- there is a possibility of washing
- there is a shop, cafes and good exchangers nearby
- price
- Pedestrian street
Minuses:
- Cleaning.
- you need to buy drinking water or ask for it at the hotel.
A great terrace, for which you can forgive just about everything else. There is a chain store and cafes nearby. The city center and the tram stop are within walking distance.
The guy from the night shift is very pleasant and speaks excellent Russian. The hotel has laundry services, we were very quickly and inexpensively washed, dried and beautifully folded a whole package of things.
3 hotels were changed during the vacation. This one was the cheapest and at the same time the closest to the center. Even without breakfast, you can arrange breakfast on the terrace.
The street is pedestrian, that is, there was no noise under the windows and you could safely leave the hotel knowing that you would not be hit by a scooter.
The terrain is typical for Istanbul, so I would not say that it was somehow difficult or unexpected that the hotel is located on a steep descent on the street near the sea.
Of the minuses, the only thing is that in 4 days they have never been cleaned, shampoos, tea or water were not added, garbage was not taken out, etc. Although we were not at home consistently for 10 hours a day. On the penultimate day ~ 9 a.m., they hung a sign asking to be removed, at 20 they took it down themselves. The only supplies in the rooms were shampoo. We had to take out the garbage ourselves.
The view from the windows of the room was of the neighboring houses and a bit of the sea. The room has a refrigerator, wardrobe, good slippers, air conditioning. There was no sound insulation, as the light in the room was even visible through the cracks of the front door. The windows are good double-glazed windows.
A wonderful hotel for your money. The room is clean, small but comfortable, everything is there, everything is working, you can see the Marmara Sea from the window (room 301). Historical sights are within walking distance. A big plus for the attitude towards the guests . The employees speak English. The hotel owner speaks Russian well.
A great hotel for the price! We've been away for 4 days and 3 nights, but there are a couple of things we've come across.:
1) It is located deep in the streets of Sultanahmet district, you are constantly walking uphill, then downhill, with a suitcase it causes great difficulties))
2) There is a shoe factory around, and there is a view of it from the windows of the first and second floors. If you want quiet at night and a beautiful view, then book the highest floors right away - there is a view of the Bosphorus.
3) The staff, especially the Russian-speaking receptionist, are very polite and will do everything for your convenience. For example, we did not know that our room was on the 1st floor and we were moved to the floors above, from where there was a beautiful view and silence at night.
4) In general, it's great for the option of spending the night and going for a walk. If you need breakfast / more services, etc., then it's better to fork out and take the option closer to the main road and more spacious)) This hotel has a one hundred percent price-quality ratio, but we were satisfied with it)
For its price, the hotel is normal, a good terrace on the 6th floor with a beautiful view of the sea, but a very steep staircase leads to it, we were very glad that we were placed on the 2nd floor, be prepared that there was simply no cleaning in the room for 5 days, the room is shabby, there is no noise insulation, I heard As the receptionist at the reception in the evenings, something is looking very loudly on the phone. Russian Russian and English are well understood by the guys at the reception, but unfortunately we didn't get such an employee, he hardly spoke English, I don't say anything about Russian at all.
The area of the hotel is so-so, they make shoes in it, it's always dirty, people with huge bales on carts scurry back and forth, but it's close to local attractions, 15-20 minutes.
Nice hotel!
The rooms are small, located on a mountain, but close to the center and the main attractions.
A veranda on the top floor with a beautiful view.
The hosts are friendly)
Great hotel. The room is a classic of superior comfort. Sound insulation, everything is brand new. The truth is the 5th floor. But the view from the bed is of the Bosphorus. The price is real, especially for Istanbul. Very friendly Russian-speaking administrator. Tram and metro are 7 minutes away. There is a great cafe and a Bim nearby. I recommend it!!!
The disadvantage is the location. It is necessary to walk along the back alleys. There is a smell of glue, shoe workshops are located there. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Laleli. And you really come to some kind of wilderness. Some kind of uninhabited suspicious buildings. It gets uncomfortable when you walk.
Plus, there is a friendly reception. The hotel is new or renovated, shower, linen, furniture, decoration-everything is new and decent.
It is located close to all the attractions.
Apparently, this will be the best offer in the area for the money)
The Artisans' neighborhood. There are no breakfasts, but there are cafes nearby. There is no sound insulation in the rooms, the rooms are too small, but this is the order of things here. The rooms are clean. During my stay at the reception, there were 2 administrators, one spoke Russian.
A great hotel for young couples, as you will have to get uphill. Friendly staff, speak Russian. There was a tea set and drinking water in the room. The only drawback: there is no heated towel rail in the bathroom, there is nowhere to dry things.
This is a wonderful hotel! I stopped twice. Very caring staff, brand new wonderful renovation, cozy, there are tea facilities, comfortable bed, hot shower. At my request, a warm blanket was delivered almost immediately. It turned out to be twice cheaper to order a taxi to the airport through the reception than through the available applications. The hotel has an agreement with a nearby restaurant about a 20/ discount. The food there is very tasty. In general, I recommend it! The combination of price and quality is simply excellent
We had a rest on September 24. The location is excellent, the hotel is small and quiet, the terrace on the 6th floor is on fire! The taps in the toilet broke once, my husband turned it off, and the staff fixed the problem in the afternoon.
The hotel is just a buzz, we had a wonderful rest.
we stopped by for 5 days.
The staff is helpful, everything is neat and clean.
Near the sea, the sights of the Blue Mosque, a park with fountains, a quiet area, the Hagia Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace.
We liked the room, everything is clean, neat and comfortable.
On my next trip to Istanbul, I know exactly where I'm staying!

The hotel is located in a dirty, authentic area where shoes are produced in small workshops, but on an industrial scale, "Italy, France, etc.", wholesale sales. Industrial waste is being dragged and removed around, and materials are being imported. The hotel itself is a stretch of four with a minus, small rooms of 12 square meters (the photos on the websites are excellent, they hide the real size). You have to ask for tea and water, no one renews it. Upon check-in, the room was, as it were, already tried out by someone. But we must pay tribute, the linen was quickly replaced. You don't have to take a sea view, in addition to the sea, which is visible from afar, there is a constant construction site and garbage under the window. One of the advantages is the Russian-speaking guy, he also speaks English. Indeed, there is a glazed veranda on the top floor, which is 30 square meters in size. You can sit and drink and eat what you brought, but again, it's a long climb up the steep stairs)). The area is quiet at night, but construction work begins at 9 a.m. The location of the required cultural and historical sites is good within walking distance, there are small hills, not critical. A transfer is provided if desired. We were here in the middle of October 2024.
A nice cozy, clean hotel with 12 rooms. Not far from the tram stop. The metro is also a real 20-minute walk away. The disadvantages are very good audibility. There is practically no sound insulation
A wonderful hotel for your money: cleanly renovated, close to the center and to the waterfront of the port. In the morning the seagulls are laughing, you wake up in high spirits) The only thing is, the stairs are very steep to the 6th floor, but the view from the window is beautiful!
I really liked the hotel. Clean, cozy. The staff is very pleasant. The guys speak Russian, they try to make the guests like everything. I was a little confused by the location of the hotel, but then it became even interesting to look at the non-tourist Istanbul. I really liked the roof terrace of the hotel!
The hotel is magnificent, newly renovated, clean, cozy, the room has a refrigerator, a kettle. The owner speaks Russian and is polite. Let's go back again
4 stars is not an objective assessment. I put it on so as not to spoil the owners' statistics. The impression is ambiguous, but not bad either, I just want to draw your attention to the hotel.
+ inside, the hotel is of excellent quality: everything works, the corners are clean, the shower room is beautiful
- the backyard is a dump, with seagulls and smells, you won't open the window
And the hotel is located in the area of shoe workshops, where people do not live and, accordingly, the sidewalks are not cleaned - garbage and stench are present. It's not critical, but keep in mind. It's not authentic here, it's dirty.
