We visited in August 2024.
By some miracle, we booked this hotel on a booking, it was the only one in our price range and in the city center. It cost $295 for 9 nights - actually, we wouldn't even rent a barn in the Krasnodar Territory for that price)))
The main conclusions are here:
1. The very center of Istanbul
2. To get to the Grand Bazaar and all the infrastructure, we go uphill
3. There are 3 mosques nearby, one of which is 10 meters away (do not forget about the calls for prayer).
4. If you've never been to Fatih, then it's a complete bazaar. Literally. Consider that you live in the market. They sell textiles in this location. But! The hotel itself is located in a small alley, where there is no market vibe and no one is trying to sell you anything. This is a definite plus.
5. The hotel does not accept lira. I wanted to buy coffee - it cost 2 euros (which I didn't have)
6. The terrace is a separate thrill. We sat on it all the time, sometimes we talked with neighbors, there is a special atmosphere of relaxation there))
7. The room is small, the bed is large. The windows overlook the courtyard and the roofs, and there is an exit to the fire escape from the corridor. The elevator runs. The room has a small refrigerator, TV, shower, air conditioning (it was leaking, and it was obviously leaking for a long time, and the staff obviously knew about it, but they tried to fix it every time)) We haven't seen any cockroaches from the previous review. Cleaning was done every day. The shower room was clean and pleasant, without mold. Towels were changed every 2 days. You could have asked for bed linen yourself. Everything is clean.
8. The staff is very helpful. Everyone is neatly dressed in shirts, helping to solve all the problems. The level of service, in my inexperienced opinion, is 10/10.
9. I don't know about food and breakfast, it didn't matter to us.
Bottom line: for this price, it's just a great hotel. We just slept there, took a shower and stored our things, the rest of the time we went somewhere. If you only need a place to sleep, this is definitely a great budget option. If you want something special and some kind of super service, then, very obviously, you don't belong here.
Great hotel. The location is convenient, the bus stop is 5 minutes away, all the sights are nearby. The room is clean, cleaned every day. The Wi-Fi is great. Honestly, I didn't even expect such a price.
Nice hotel, close to attractions, Grand Bazaar bus stop. The room is clean, cleaning every day, there is a refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, elevator. On the ground floor there are mugs and hot water for tea or coffee. Nearby are inexpensive coffee shops where you can have a snack and a Migros store.
