We had an excursion here in 2019. We had a tasting of wines, cheeses, and honey. I liked everything, the evidence was cut and the place was cool, the greenery was bright green.
We were given 6 bottles of 0.5 mead as a gift, and we really liked it.
Well, today's review is not the best. Of the good things about the apiary: the territory is beautiful, but they won't let you take a walk and look around if you're on an excursion. They immediately take you to a tasting and it takes place very actively, they give you a taste of honey and tell you about it. My children were specially waiting for this visit because they wanted to buy honey. Of course, they wanted more, but because of the hand luggage, we didn't want to take a large pot. However, he assured us that honey does not belong to liquids and they did it very sincerely. My mistake was not to check the information myself. Don't believe it!! Honey has just been seized from children at the airport. Tears and drama, I scold myself for falling for the beekeepers' persuasions. I also bought fruit wine, already bottled in small bottles, and believe me, it was not the same wine that the beekeepers gave us to taste. It was impossible to drink it, I poured it down the toilet at the hotel. Abkhazia is beautiful, but I won't be so naive on excursions anymore) it's a shame for the children and honey, don't repeat my mistake! Honey is a liquid, even in honeycombs, with a maximum of 100 ml, as with everything else.
We were here on 5.12.24 in a small group of 4 people.the young man conducted an educational tour, conducted a honey tasting. We bought small clay pots with honey.2 views at your own risk, as they say, (since the pots were sealed with a cloth soaked in wax)
Upon arrival home, both pots were opened (by the way, they also made them!)
All the same, then they gave us a taste. So the owners did not deceive us) Thanks for the tour and
honesty!
