Hello, everyone.
Vostochny Park (Minsk) is our family's favorite park.
When our children were little, we used to walk there with them almost every day, then we took them through it to kindergarten, to take classes at the Svetoch.
I have special memories and feelings about this park. One day in autumn, I took our youngest daughter to a dance at the Svetoch and we walked through Vostochny Park. At that time, there were still gravel paths with dirt in it, and in rainy weather, after a walk, all the trousers at the bottom were splattered with drops of dirt. That day, a prayer to God suddenly began to sound in my mind: dear Lord, help me to make modern paving slabs in our park. It was a very short prayer. One day in the spring, my daughter and I went to Svetoch again and saw that a lot of different construction equipment had arrived in our park and construction work was underway. At the same time, a group of people protested: they thought they would demolish the park and build something. A senior official from the Sovetsky District administration arrived and explained that construction work had begun on the reconstruction of the Eastern Park. The next day, they put up a poster about it in the park. By September of that year, we saw amazing changes: all the paths in the park were covered with paving slabs, many additional paths were made, including for bicycles and scooters, and the central paths were made wider. They also made two modern playgrounds, two sports grounds and a dog-walking area. It was a very cool gift for the city day. Thank God that He assisted in the reconstruction of Vostochny Park. Many thanks to the administration of the Sovetsky district for our new park. Every day I walk in it and enjoy looking at the beauty of our park.
