In Cyprus, all beaches are municipal.
On all beaches:
~ rent an umbrella 2,5 €,
~ rent a sunbed 2,5 €.
You can sunbathe on your towel in the sand, with your umbrella. Many people choose this option.
For 1.5 euros, you can rent a small safe on the beach for storing valuables (they steal on the beach).
All beaches are cleaned of garbage.
Before noon, the sea is usually calm, there are no big waves. Wind and waves usually appear in the afternoon.
Pantachou Beach.
Pantachou Beach is the BEST beach within a 1.5 km radius.
It is located between Glyki Nero Beach (Grecian) and Limanaki Beach (Limanaki Beach).
Length ~ 200 meters,
Advantages of Pantachou Beach (Pantachou Beach):
+ blue flag (It indicates that the beach has been successfully tested according to 27 international criteria, it is clean and meets environmental standards).
If the flag has a pattern in the form of white stripes, it means that this is a high-comfort beach.,
+ a sandy beach,
+ gentle entrance to the water,
+ depth after 30-40 meters,
+ there are almost no stones in the water,
+ a wide beach strip, half of the beach is without umbrellas and sun beds (you can sunbathe on your towel on the sand, with your umbrella).
+ rescuers,
+ free toilets, showers, foot wash, changing booth,
+ there are storage rooms for personal belongings 1.5 € per day, with a deposit of 5 € (they steal on the beach),
+ water activities.
Disadvantages of Pantachou Beach (Pantachou Beach):
- The toilets and the locker room are always dirty, there is only one foot washer.,
- You can lie under your umbrella on the sand on your towel, but from 10:00 to 12:00 there is little room for this on the beach, there are a lot of people literally "walking on their heads."
After 12:00, there are fewer and fewer people, by 14:00 there are 2-3 times fewer people than from 10:00 to 12:00.
- there are no breakwaters, so there are big waves in strong winds.
One of the main beaches of Ayia Napa, Pentahu Beach (πανταχού, Pantachou Beach) stretches more than a kilometer east from the local marina (Ayia Napa Harbour) to Gliki Nero Beach (γλυκύ vερό). Pentahu beach is lightly handled by local residents and for obvious reason is also called "Limanaki" (from the Greek "Λιμανάκι" – "port"). The beach is very decent, the entire beach infrastructure – from hotels, bars, restaurants to umbrellas and sun loungers for 2.5 euros per piece – is available. As for the sea, the water is clean and transparent, but the bottom is different: the stones on the site are closer to the marina (there are paths made of sandbags to enter the sea), the sand is in the center of the beach (the landmark is the Melissi Beach Hotel & Spa), the sand with stones is closer to the Gliki Nero beach. Something like that...
The beach is located next to the Ayia Napa Center.
It is big enough, clean and with fine sand.
Sun beds and umbrellas are municipal for 2.5 Euros per piece.
If you look towards the sea, the approach to the right side of the beach is very rocky . The stones are sharp and of different sizes . For a safe entry, a bag entry is made right in front of the cafe. There is a shower nearby.
There are no sun beds closer to the middle, there is only sand without stones. It is convenient to sit on your own couch here. There are no amenities.
On the left side of the beach there is a cozy small bay with blue water. One side of the bay ends with rocks , if you climb up them , you will get to the Bridge of Lovers .
It is better to take food and drinks with you . There are not many cafes on the beach and prices are higher than the average in the city.
I also do not advise you to come here on weekends. At this time, the beach is being paid off by the locals.all the entrances are filled with cars . The beach itself is very crowded.
