A good economy class hotel. The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. The breakfasts are delicious and hearty. Of course, there are some shortcomings at the hotel, but when you remember the stability of the tour, you can close your eyes to everything. The biggest disadvantage is that for 13 nights the room was never cleaned and towels and linen were not changed, but they took a broom and swept themselves...The most hardworking employee of this hotel is a Tajik, he plows there from morning until dark. But a bunch of staff at the bar just picks their noses all day, why there are so many of them is unclear.

We were in Abkhazia for the first time
I really liked the cottage - everything is new, clean, spacious (about 20 squares and a ceiling of 3 meters), upholstered in wood, a panoramic window (but only the door opened, there was not enough window for ventilation), TV, air conditioning, wardrobe, table, 2 bedside tables, a double bed and a folding sofa for a child, a shower room, sink, toilet, electric towel rail, hair dryer. We did not have enough hangers in the closet (there were 3 pieces) of a kettle and cups: we bought souvenir cups, went to the bar for boiling water.
On the veranda there is a table and 2 wicker chairs (on which all swimsuits and towels were dried, because an outdoor dryer is not provided).
Beautiful mountain view from the cottage. In the morning you go out on the veranda and contemplate the beauty!
The sea is 10 minutes away slowly, but the road is dusty, they drive briskly and there are no sidewalks. But there are a lot of shops where they sell almost everything, and also cafes, fruit vendors. The local fresh figs were there, there were a lot of them everywhere, they were in season) . There are many suggestions for excursions on the way to the sea
There are 2 pharmacies in the village. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to them.
There's not much to see in the village itself, but that's not what we were going for.
The beach is wide (40-50 meters wide), large pebbles near the shore (but very round and we liked it), and shallow, like sand, three meters from the shore. There are a moderate number of people. Calmly. The flip side is that there is no entertainment (well, or we just didn't meet), there are no playgrounds, my daughter was bored, we entertained ourselves. There is no playground in the hotel, as stated on the website.
One boat per hour with walks, one corn merchant, no music. Everything is very cultured and calm.
The hotel has a well-groomed territory as a whole, the water in the pool is clean (workers clean every other day), flowering bushes, palm trees and thuja around it, lawns are mowed, there is no garbage anywhere, bins throughout the territory. The sun beds near the pool are tired in places, but it doesn't bother. There are umbrellas, you can sit in a pleasant shade in the heat. For smokers - you can smoke anywhere in the hotel, except in rooms/cottages and balconies in buildings
Wi-Fi. There is no word for it in the cottage at ALL. But there is one on the veranda and on the territory of the hotel. Intermittently, but we came to rest, and took a break from the Internet).
The light was turned off once for 10 minutes. When there is no light, there is no water in the cottage.
Cleaning was offered on the 5th day (the maid swept, washed the sink and toilet), bed linen and towels were not changed, as stated, but we did not care.
Breakfast is from 8.30 to 10. At 8.30, a queue is already gathering, people are rushing somewhere (perhaps on excursions that start at 8.45). If you come at 9.30, there may not be boiling water and the choice of food is significantly narrowed.
Boiled eggs or omelette, buckwheat, pasta, some kind of salad with mayonnaise, tomatoes and cucumbers, sausages, 2 types of sausage, 4 types of milk porridge, buns (but by 9 they are usually gone), cottage cheese, sour cream (with milk fat substitutes, which greatly spoiled the taste of normal cottage cheese) and jam. Lisma tea, coffee and cocoa are the cheapest, milk in packs (there were also cereals and chocolate balls, many children had breakfast with them) The assortment does not change much from day to day. On the 4th day, we had breakfast in other places
The cafe at the hotel cooks well (especially the khachapuri boat is divinely delicious and large - you can have lunch together with only one). But it has been working since 12.
The territory is not closed or guarded. But we felt safe.
After 23.00, all music is turned off and a magical silence reigns. No drunken companies, discos - just the chirping of cicadas and the bottomless sky above.

Perfect. No complaints. And the bar, the service, the cuisine, as in the best restaurants. The room is clean and cozy, the pool is excellent. I recommend 200 percent. We rested there in 2023, arrived in 2024, it's a pity there were no available rooms, but we went to the bar to have dinner with them almost every day. This hotel was the main reason that we returned to Abkhazia) The administration did well, they built as many as 12 more houses in a year, smartly) 👍👍👍

An excellent hotel, located on a central street with developed infrastructure.The territory of the hotel is not large, but it is very well equipped. The pool is located inside the green spaces. There are places to relax in the bar, as well as tables on the territory where you can sit in silence and enjoy nature. The rooms are large, equipped with air conditioning and a TV. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
I would like to mention the hotel staff separately! Very attentive and responsive. Any issues are resolved immediately.
The bar staff are special people! Gorgeous girls are always greeted with a smile, and brutal guys can perform dances of the peoples of the Caucasus in the evenings. And most importantly, the hotel is growing and developing.
Summing up our vacation, if you want to relax body and soul, then the Elion Hotel is the best choice in Alakhadze.

Abkhazia. The Elion Hotel, located in the village of Alakhadzy, between Gagra and Pitsunda, is three-storied, there are also wooden cottages on the territory, in which, strictly speaking, we had a chance to relax.The cottage has a large double bed and an extra bed- an ottoman.TV, air conditioning.There is no kettle, no dishes.There are no coolers on site, there is only one thermopot in the bar, which did not always have boiling water, bottled drinking water was bought. Cleaning is only done if you ask very hard.The hotel has a swimming pool and a dining room where breakfast is served (included in the package), there is also a bar, where you can have lunch and dinner. The sea is not far away, quite clean, we rested at the end of September.There is no entertainment in the village, it is quite boring.Those who go on vacation to Abkhazia in the velvet season, take warm clothes, the temperature difference between day and night is 10 degrees, it's warm in the afternoon, as the sun sets, it gets colder immediately, and rains often come.Have a nice stay!

We chose the hotel based on photos and reviews. The territory of the hotel is very clean, well-groomed and cozy, with mountain views. There is a swimming pool that is cleaned every morning, there are sun beds and umbrellas by the pool in free access, there is a dining room and a bar on site. Many have already written in reviews about monotonous breakfasts and this is true - every day there is the same food to choose from, but the choice is quite diverse, in principle delicious and satisfying. Of the breakfast drinks, there was only tea, coffee and sometimes cocoa - packaged, the cheapest and tasteless. On weekends, there were especially many guests at the hotel, which caused a huge queue to form for breakfast. There are few tables in the dining room, on the street too, sometimes you had to wait for the table to be free to have breakfast… Cutlery and mugs were also often missing.
We rested at this hotel at the end of May, the bar did not have most of the items on the menu. As the locals said, "it's not the season, so we don't cook everything." It was a strange position, because in the neighboring hotels in the bars you could eat much more varied.
The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is the rooms. We were put in a room with dirty bed linen, damaged furniture and a moldy bathroom. When I asked to change the bed linen, a disgruntled maid came and reluctantly changed our linen. Towels and room cleaning are done only on request, but what the maid does in general is hardly cleaning.
The reception was also upset. The receptionists are completely unfriendly and not responsive, not interested in solving the problems of hotel guests. And the bar staff, on the contrary, are very friendly and responsive, for which I thank them.
Also in this hotel there is a problem with Wi-Fi, which works and catches exclusively next to the pool and nowhere else, sometimes it was possible to catch in the room only at the window.
And by the way, our vacation was ruined by a construction site under the windows, where workers started their day at 8 a.m. and we woke up not from an alarm clock, but from the sounds of a generator, a grinder, etc. I hope the hotel management reads the reviews and listens to the opinions of their guests.

We rested at the Elion hotels. The territory is well maintained, lots of greenery, wonderful dogs that live on the territory of the hotel. A very beautiful view of the mountains. Not far from the sea 300 m. These are the advantages. As for the cons: it smells like burning from the grill and stoves all the time, it is fried in oil, it burns (it feels like the smells very rarely wash the frying surface) all this pulls into the rooms. The food is not very tasty and monotonous. It is worth improving the kitchen and making sure that unpleasant odors prevent people from relaxing.

07/08/2024. Abkhazia, Alakhadzy, Elion Hotel.
07/06/2024 my wife and I flew on an Aeroflot plane from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Sochi airport, late in the evening. After waiting for 2 hours for their luggage, they found it missing.
Having written the corresponding statement, we went to the place of rest. Having crossed the border, having paid 2.5 K for a taxi, we arrived at the Elion hotel without carrying swimming trunks, swimsuits, socks, T-shirts, etc. Looking ahead, I will say that neither Aeroflot nor Sochi Airport services provided effective measures to inform us about the location of baggage and measures for its delivery, not to mention accommodation at the hotel to wait for the arrival of luggage. We were able to get our luggage almost a day later, having spent a lot on trips from Abkhazia to Adler, there and back. Sochi Airport and Aeroflot have shown their true colors by turning their backs on their customers.
We arrived at the Elion Hotel at 3 a.m. An unfriendly girl met us, quickly arranged, gave us the keys and escorted us to the cottage.
We read a lot of unfavorable reviews before the trip, about electricity and water outages in Abkhazia, about unsanitary conditions, etc. but we were pleasantly surprised when we entered a well-cooled, brand-new cottage with a spacious bathroom, TV and refrigerator, a good double bed, clean linens, as well as an excellent bathroom and shower. There was a glass table and 2 chairs on the veranda.
Having picked up 3 bottles of Sukhumi light awesome beer at the bar before check-in, we, despite the spoiled mood, were pleased for the excellent accommodation and conditions kindly provided to us by the Elion Hotel.
After taking a shower and drinking a cold beer, we passed out at 4 o'clock, without hind legs.
When we woke up, we went to breakfast, which we were also very impressed with. Everything is fresh, a large selection of dishes, friendly girls at the food distribution, will fill the plates without restrictions, you definitely won't stay hungry until lunch. The dishes and cutlery are clean.
The pool deserves a special mention. Clean warm water, clean it regularly. A great place to spend time.
The bar offers a variety of drinks and a grill.
For all the positive aspects, there are also disadvantages.
So, washing clothes on automatic machines is carried out by a man, 200 rubles for one wash. Moreover, he accepts and gives out the laundry, and how he washes it and with what remains a mystery. So we decided to wash it manually.
There is no salt, pepper, or toothpicks in the breakfast room. There are not enough places in the dining room and you can have breakfast at the tables by the bar. There, cutlery (salt, pepper) appears and disappears.
The gym is in a neglected and inactive state. Sports equipment is covered in construction dust. Is it even necessary in the summer season, when it's hot and there is a sea and a pool? In my opinion, no.
There is a working shade table - 500 rubles / hour.
Cleaning. We lived for 4 days, cleaning the rooms in the cottages and changing towels, no one did.
On the 5th day, at our personal request, we had a wet cleaning, the garbage was taken away and a roll of toilet paper was given, as well as a towel was changed. So it was for the next 20 days, cleaned upon request. The drain in the shower had to be cleaned twice by myself. Fortunately, it wasn't difficult.
The sea is a separate topic.
A slow 10-minute walk from the hotel to the sea along the central Tumanyan street. It is also the central market, it is also the central road, along which people and cars scurry back and forth. And drivers in this country can turn left and turn right. The beach is pebble-stone, barefoot you can break your legs. Bathing slippers are vital. And it is better to buy cloth ones rather than rubber ones, the size is right next to each other, otherwise they will fall off in the water. Cloth - so that small stones do not fall inside. Rubber in the hole does not save from them and causes discomfort when walking.
There is a light bardelero on the beach. From the garbage of vacationers to horse manure, everything is present, but the coastline itself is 30 meters - nothing, it will do. The sea does its job. Maybe someone's cleaning up, but I haven't seen it.
It is best to go to the sea in the early morning. We walked at about 7:15 - 7:30. We swam, tanned ourselves until 9:50 and went to breakfast. The sea is calm and clean at this time. Swimming is a pleasure and the sun is gentle and gentle. After 10 hours, a tougher tan.
The show starts at about 8:30. Local guys on jet skis and speedboats roll out near people swimming, inviting them for walks and water activities, regardless of the risk of injury to vacationers. At the same time, spraying everyone with exhaust fumes and a wave with the smell and taste of gasoline. It causes irritation.
No rules apply to local watercraft. There are no registration numbers on them and probably no one is legally responsible here.
The stories that everyone in this country respects mountains, the elderly, and guests, and doesn't swear are fairy tales for vacationers. Maybe it works somewhere in the mountains, but here on the coast, I've heard such stories from local residents (I assume they're not Abkhazians) that my ears were screwed up. In general, people are like people.
The main thing to note is that I did not see or feel any hostility in the views and relations with the locals.
I must tell you one incident that has greatly changed my attitude towards people: I have already written that at breakfast we often sat in the bar area. On the first day, while eating for breakfast, I choked. Coughing, I looked at a local guy who was smoking sitting at the bar. After all the attacks by Asians and Caucasians at home, I have a negative opinion of people in general, and I think I have accumulated aggression. Anyway, I looked at this guy and thought to myself: He probably wants me to choke. And you can imagine what he did! He ran behind the bar and brought me a glass of water. This is a lesson for me for the rest of my life. Do not rush to think badly about people of another nationality and another faith.
I met him later and thanked him. His name is Magomed. Magomed, if you will hear me: You are a human being! May your parents be blessed!
It's not bad at sea in the evening either. There are fewer people than in the afternoon, but the sea is not as clear as in the morning.
Restaurants and cafes: you can certainly have a snack and eat, but don't expect any fierics. I would like to mention 2 places during the whole trip. 1st there was a restaurant in Gagra near the central market, where there was a huge tree trunk inside the restaurant, where there was the best chacha. And the 2nd place is a restaurant on the embankment, if facing the sea, then on the left side at the end of the embankment at the base of the beach, it's called like a Mahito. There was a Russian guy who cooked there. I'm sorry, he cooked amazingly.
To be honest, at the Eleon Hotel, in the cafe at the hotel, it turned out to be very good, both the cuisine and the service. The girls are very polite and diligent. The kitchen is also good. The atmosphere is kind and inviting, take your time. It's a pity that we only went there before we left.
I can't ignore the respectable-looking restaurant in Alazazi, to the left of the final stop on Taumyan Street, on the beach line, opposite the Paradise Beach Hotel. At lunchtime, my wife and I decided to go have a snack there. When we entered the restaurant and sat down at the table, we did not wait for a single official who was sitting doing nothing at the bar. There were about 5 of them, and they all looked through us into the distance, continuing a leisurely conversation. After 5 minutes of watching, we couldn't stand such indifference and the buzzing of flying flies, so we decided to leave this place and not pay any more attention to it.
Excursions: I wouldn't recommend it. Buses generally don't match either comfort or safety.
Taxi: Taxi drivers are extremely intrusive at the border, but they are responsible. You can't get around them unless you book a transfer in advance. You can bargain, but you can't bring down the price significantly. So I advise you to choose a better car and a quieter driver.
I made arrangements with one of them, loaded up with my wife and luggage. When we went, he put on some kind of youth song with mats, where everyone fucks each other. I felt ashamed in front of my wife for this local guy. I asked him to change his repertoire, saying that I had read a lot of good things about his homeland and that I would not want my girl to feel uncomfortable. To which he replied that it was the Russians who were singing these songs. I've changed the music, though.
There are enough fools everywhere, both among us and among them. The question is whether to listen to them or not.
You have to think kindly and listen to positive things.
It is necessary to sow reasonable and eternal goodness.
Wine: Bottled Abkhazian wine, they say, is made from Moldovan concentrate. It is better to buy and drink in cafes and restaurants. They won't cheat there. On the street, in the market, you can also get some kind of bucket. They sell wine on the street, too, it doesn't seem to be bad, but I drank the best wine in a restaurant. It makes no sense for them to sell a bad guy. It's the same with shish kebab. We bought a skewer with meat once, brought it home, and there were only vertebrae and bones, 20% meat and acidified. It's in Alakhadzy, not far from the sea.
They left with a sad face. I wanted to stay for a week. Nevertheless, the best expectations have come true. Although everything there is not so cheap, and sometimes expensive, but a good rest for 20 days, a beautiful sea and kind people left pleasant memories for the year ahead.
The immune system worked for a year without interruption and contained various sores such as bronchitis and sinusitis and others, well done.
We drove back without any "adventures".
We are planning to go to Abkhazia again this year. This time to Gagra. They wanted to return to Alakhadzy, but Elion's command was absent in March.
No matter what, rest at the Elion hotel and in the village. Alakhatzy, I recommend it.

Nice pool. The sea is not far away. It was delicious at the bar!
In the room, it was terrible to sleep, the mattress dug into the sides. The audibility is creepy!
Breakfasts are a huge queue, there are few tables. Every morning I seemed to beg for food, I explained to the girl every time that I was taking care of three children! The number of sun beds and the pool itself is not designed for full occupancy of the hotel. We were in the middle of June!
And yes - the host and admins are not interested in the comfort of vacationers, completely ignore!

I can recommend visiting for no more than 2-3 days, in comparison with our visit in 2022, the hotel has lost ground, especially in terms of cleanliness: it has never been cleaned in a week, although they approached the administrator and asked (by the way, the administrator can be found more often at the pool bar than at the reception), in order to change the towels, I had to "catch" the maid and ask her about it personally, it was also not offered to change the bed, so you can safely not believe the information on the websites of tour operators (it is indicated that linen, towels and room cleaning are changed every 3 days). The cleanliness of towels and linen leaves much to be desired - almost everything is stained. Mattresses in the rooms are sagged, additional mattress pads have not been provided. There are breakfasts, but very, very modest, the assortment does not change much - you will not stay hungry, but you do not have to count on goodies. The pool is full-fledged, it is being cleaned, BUT the wooden flooring has been removed, now it has become very slippery on wet concrete - guests have been seen slipping and falling several times. According to the bar: the tables / chairs are "tired", but the food is still delicious (and, importantly, safe), although the menu is small, you don't even know what to eat in a week. On the playground: it's gone now, only the carousel remains.
As a result: I will not recommend it to my friends anymore and I will not return myself.

We had a great vacation at this hotel: small, cozy, with an excellent relaxation area by the pool, delicious food and excellent staff!!! Walking distance to the sea and a beautiful view of the mountains. Despite the location on a key street leading to the sea, the hotel is calm and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly, helped with all questions.

There are many canteens nearby where you can eat delicious food. The pool is small. Clean. Self-cleaning, we were told. Of the cons, there is no hot water after 20 hours. What is the reason is not clear. Some rooms have underfloor heating. But in general, it is quite comfortable, albeit ascetic. We didn't try the kitchen for dinner and lunch, but it smelled delicious

By the numbers: the broken faucets are clean enough in the node, but there is always hot water, the air conditioner did not cool completely (I am a little familiar with the design) pulled out the mesh filters, they were tightly overgrown with a thick layer of dust, looked like a gray felt boot, washed under the shower, put it on and, Lo and behold, the air conditioner worked so that they froze. The beds are just a horror of four mattresses, two went nowhere, the third with protruding springs was covered with blankets, but it was still very uncomfortable to sleep on it, the fourth one was generally sagged so that you sleep like in a hammock, your back even hurt after it, you had to change places, the administrator listened to us and that was it. We managed to change the towels on the fifth day, catching the maid, on the seventh she offered to replace the bed linen, but we no longer need to leave in the morning. We did not wait for cleaning in the room for 8 days of stay. The result of ELEON is lost to us, but it's a pity, the good thing that remains of the former is a wonderful, delicious cuisine and well done waitresses, always clean, friendly, charming, they are all the same as they were. Hospitable, cozy, clean, great view, pool, sea nearby, dining rooms nearby. The linen is clean, the maid goes to the meeting if anything needs to be replaced. The breakfasts are quite hearty and varied, our family of 2 + 2 children always had something to eat and stay full. The guys at the reception rent cars, everything is clear, they rode from the heart, no surprises. We ordered a hookah at the bar, everything is on the level. We really liked it, we would come back again.
Among the wishes for improvements to the hotel, we could add glasses in the rooms, chairs on the balconies, a more varied menu in the bar, a powerful extractor hood in the dining room and the pool should still be cleaned more thoroughly, the sides have a smell of swamp. Although the service man for the pool and other household facilities is well done, he never sits on the spot, tries from early morning to evening. In general, there are no complaints about the hotel staff, in high season they work conscientiously and smile at the guests. Staying on the level and accepting the wishes of grateful tourists, you will earn one more + to your 5* every season. Thank you for a wonderful vacation, Elion!

We had a rest in September 2024. The territory is dirty, the pool is not cleaned at all. The on-site restaurant is not tasty, the dishes on the campfire are dry. But this is not the worst thing. The toilet in the rooms stinks terribly of sewage. Water also has the same smell. There is a separate story about audibility in the rooms. Until the neighbors upstairs fall asleep, you won't fall asleep either. Because even the closet is shaking from their movements. Steers were found under the beds. With all this, there is more pathos than in a 5+ hotel.

Bar: the prices are like in a bar, but the quality of the food is excellent! The pool is ALWAYS with clean and warm water.The maid is a caring hostess!!! The worst hotel I've ever been to.

We went to a cafe for lunch, arriving at the reception at 14.15 it turned out that the cottage was no longer there. How is it? In fact, the transfer left us at the gate of the hotel and quickly left, there was no one on the territory, everything was closed everywhere and only some builders who ran away from us when we tried to find out where the reception was, or at least some representative of the hotel. After twenty minutes of waiting in the rain, a man drove up, said that the hotel was being renovated and he would take us to a guest house in a neighboring village. It's terrible, but there's nowhere to go, let's go. They are brought to some kind of incomprehensible guest house, naturally without any heated swimming pool and breakfasts. There is not even a kitchen or a kettle where it would be banal to drink coffee in the morning... Two days later, the same man arrived and took complaints about all the rooms of the tour operator and the representative of the travel agency to the Eleon hotel, allegedly the repair was over there 😏
In fact, the pool had just begun to be filled without bothering to wash it from construction dust before and it was filled later for another 4 days, but that it should be heated or at least covered at night from falling leaves and drunken guests who dived there right in shoes, and sometimes in clothes ...
Kitchen dining room bar They're still closed. We were offered breakfast only on the fifth day after arrival. There are legends about their diversity! Omelette, fried egg and boiled to choose from, a couple of pieces of wilted vegetables and "one sausage per person, because that's how we calculate" coffee, cold water or juice (even for an additional fee) they simply do not exist. There is a titan with semi-warm water, soiling cheap packaged tea and that's it, you can not mention sugar and bread at all, since "they were not delivered today" lasted all the time of our stay there.
The water is turned off in the rooms every evening and will be turned on only in the morning if you find someone to ask for it. The TV and air conditioning are not working and no one was going to fix them because (you arrived too early, it's not the season yet) We stopped by on the second of May with the expectation of resting until the 16th, but we did not have enough patience and left home on May 9...
Every evening after ten, construction workers bring some "ladies" who do not live in the hotel and arrange for them a "Caucasian feast" with appropriate music and noise, and when you ask to be quieter, this is enough for for a few minutes, and then it continues in the same way ...
In general, if you want to throw away your money, just burn it in your kitchen, then at least you won't be so annoyed that they are rude to you for your money and reproach you for early arrival.
And the hotel administration (if it exists in principle, since we have not met any of it during the entire period of stay) I would like to advise you not to sell your rooms if your hotel is not ready to receive guests.
