The Museum of the city's history is organized in a historic mansion built in 1820-22, which served as the summer residence of Count N.P. Rumyantsev. The mansion is small, the museum reveals only some pages of the history of Gomel. The expositions are interesting, well filled with exhibits and necessary information.
This misunderstanding cannot be called a museum. Just a set of not particularly interesting items that are not connected by a common line. A completely uninteresting and very small exposition, it is not worth wasting time on it. Although you can spend half an hour with a leisurely inspection, if you don't mind 8 rubles per ticket. But in general it should be a pity because the price is very much overstated.
Positive reviews seem to be from those who have never been to museums.

We were with the kids and we really enjoyed it. The guide was above all praise-these were stories adapted to the age of children with constant dialogue. The children listened, asked endless questions, and, many thanks to the girl for her patience, for the enthusiasm with which she involved the children in the history of Gomel. Children are 8 years old.
