Odeon Tours was the host in Alanya. We were completely satisfied. The Kurban guide was impeccable, much better than in other companies we had encountered in Turkey before. Guides usually ask if there are any questions, if not, they immediately give you their tours. But not Kurban. This is the first guide who really explained all the nuances of rest, starting from the specifics of using insurance in case of emergency and ending with what can and cannot be exported from Turkey. Where to change and withdraw money, why you must carry a photo of the voucher with you, what to do if the police stopped you - he really told you everything you might need. And when we had questions for him during the rest, he promptly solved them. I also liked the tour with this company - there was also a good guide who entertained us with stories along the way, the tour itself was without complaints, the transfer was comfortable in all cases, he always arrived on time. In general, I am completely satisfied with the Odeon in Turkey.
I'll tell you about our experience during our vacation in Sharm el-Sheikh. The host was Odeon tours.
Transfer from the airport to the hotel, everything was OK here. Then a meeting with the guide the next day. They told us about the excursions with jokes and jokes. We weren't going anywhere, but we went on a guided tour for $25 per person. City tour and dinner stop at Fares seafood restaurant.
The tour itself was about nothing, we literally ran to all the sights, there was no time for shopping. I was especially upset by the visit to the oil store. 40 minutes wasted. First, aggressive sales of miracle oils that cure everything and their tasting. It feels like ordinary vegetable oils with the taste of odorous additives. Aloe ointment, which is advertised to help with sunburn, does not do anything magical, but only leaves a sticky unpleasant feeling.
The Fares restaurant itself is good, the food is delicious. It's better to order a taxi yourself and have a quiet dinner than to try everything in 30 minutes.
The highlight was the transfer from the hotel to the airport. As our guide advised us, we looked the day before departure at what time we would be picked up. The time was set for 3 a.m. We, as disciplined tourists, were at the reception at 3 a.m. But there was no bus. We assumed that someone from other hotels might have overslept, anything is possible. We didn't panic, we waited patiently, because our hotel was next to the airport, and we had to be picked up in advance. We wrote to our guide. By the way, we're already at home, and our message still hasn't been read. An hour later, at 4 a.m., we started sounding the alarm. Thanks to the caring night manager who started calling Odeon. We got through. They explained the situation, to which they received a comment - "so what, are you just calling now?!". As a result, it turned out that our flight was postponed, and the transportation department apparently forgot to warn the hotel, and so did our guide. They won't pick us up until 7 a.m. Thanks, but we already woke up at 2 a.m. to leave at 3 a.m.
At 7 a.m., the transfer arrived for us, we did not receive any apologies from anyone.
It is a pity that such a negligent attitude at the end of the rest spoils all the feelings from the previous days.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to choose the receiving party when buying a tour, just keep in mind that the printouts at the hotel about the transfer time for the flight home are not always correct. It is better to call the Odeon hotline and ask for the time again.
Hello everyone. The welcoming party of Odeontours is Ramin guide, Hilton Kemer hotel, one star to both the guide and the office, the guide offered an excursion where there was a luxury yacht in the picture and I wanted to go out to sea on it, it turned out to be a broken trough. The tour is so-so, go to the city, everything is cheaper there. Plus, these are new buses, thanks for that.
