Geigel National Park in Azerbaijan is a unique corner of nature, where picturesque mountain lakes, dense forests and rich fauna harmoniously combine. Here you can enjoy the crystal clear waters of Lake Geigel and immerse yourself in the legends of Lake Maralgel, exploring a variety of ecotourism routes.
The Goygol National Park, founded in 2008, is located in the Goygol region of Azerbaijan. This park covers an area of 6,732 hectares and includes picturesque mountain lakes formed after the earthquake of 1139, when the top of Mount Kapaz collapsed and created several reservoirs, including the famous Geigel Lake.
It was in the middle of April, and the exam rooms weren't working. The passage to the second lake was also closed. The cafe wasn't working. Parking is free. The lake is small against the background of snow-capped mountains. Beautiful views on the way to the lake. You shouldn't go on purpose
I really liked it. I have been dreaming for a long time and finally managed to visit both Geigel and Maralgel. An unforgettable experience and it is priceless.
