Of course, after the renovation, it became better in places -clean, and the staff is good; if there are no delays at all, it's fine; there is almost no buffet-it's good that there is water, toilets are a separate pleasure 🤣,
A small town airport. No restaurants or pubs. Only the "Soviet cafeteria from the 80s shops". Otherwise, everything is clean, dry, navigation is unnecessary (you won't get lost).
I recently visited Kostanay airport, I liked everything, everything is great and cozy, there is a restaurant there, it's not expensive and everything is cool
This establishment is closed at night. It's very cold in the passenger arrivals hall. There are no communications, tele 2 does not pick up, there is no Wi-Fi. You need to go to the next room for Wi-Fi. It's warm there, and there's Wi-Fi, you can make a phone call. The Russian currency is not valid there. Everything is sold for tenge!!!!
It's a small airport with few planes. I gave a minus for the "matchmaking" of the staff. There are many so-called thugs who were recognized and passed by the queue by airport staff.
Once we were very cold there, waiting for a flight that had been postponed 10 times, and as a result, I arrived on vacation with a fever... the canteen is disgusting, hello 90's a la Buffet, in general, the impression is spoiled, flying from Kostanay is obviously stressful for me.
It seems to be an international airport that should have standards , but there are none at this airport . It's 3 hours before the flight, the check-in board says, but no one is there, since it's morning and no one has come to work yet. Only, registration started in 2 hours-it's a SHAME
There is just no buffet. There is little room in the waiting room. Increase the bus route. Parking place for passengers. These are the wishes. Good luck to the airport staff.
I read the reviews, I thought where I would get to, a normal airport, especially considering that it is in a small city, clean toilets, the most interesting thing is that it has international status and you can fly to Turkey, Egypt, etc., it is not Astana, but there are 3 flights a day, there is no elevator, but there is a buffet where you can prepare for the flight. in general, it's not bad.
The airport has become more comfortable, the waiting room is more spacious, brighter, the food areas have increased, it is clean, check-in is still with a printout of boarding passes.
It's old, of course, but there's a twist to it. When there are two flights, there is a problem with seating. The staff at the port is friendly, they will get into the situation. Clear.

Panthenol was taken away before the flight to Egypt.(exceeded 100g) and my wife's nail scissors, well, I agree with that-upon arrival we couldn't pick up our abandoned things for more than an hour, we had to go the next day, everyone is kicking each other off, the staff is sitting and picking at mobiles. As soon as I wanted to find out where the authorities were, they started moving and the girl brought us our things. The staff is so-so, I didn't expect it.
Kostanay Airport is awaiting the arrival of the President of the Russian Federation, there is a fuss everywhere, the airport is being expanded, asphalt is being rolled up, etc. in short, the classics of the genre. I will focus on the same problems of all airports in Kazakhstan, these are terrible toilets... I do not understand how it is possible to use the cheapest materials (plumbing, tiles, cabin facades, etc.) when repairing an airport, this is not just the face of the city, for incoming and outgoing guests, this is basically hygiene... I went in, and there was an incredible stench, faucets dangling, dirt in the toilets... the airport management should be ashamed. We bought benches in the waiting room, and you can immediately see that we bought the cheapest... it is more or less normal in the common rooms and during the inspection.
It's not cozy, there is no departure/arrival board. We made repairs according to the principle and it will do. In my opinion, the management does not have the concept of how to serve passengers and greeters.
A small, cozy airport, 250 people barely fit in the waiting room after check-in. Only local Kazakh tenges are accepted at the buffet. The arrival hall is under renovation,
Cosmetic repairs were carried out. It looks pretty.
There are few seats in the waiting room. There are not enough seats for everyone on a large plane. Waiting for departure standing up.
The cafe in the waiting room is stingy. There is no natural coffee. There is also no trash for cups. There is no cleaning service. You sit down at the table among the used cups and napkins.
In winter, the heating is poor. My feet are freezing from the floor. To fly to warmer countries, you will not be able to undress in the building and give away your clothes.
The smoking area was also removed before departure. After 2-3 hours of waiting for boarding, there is nowhere to satisfy nicotine addiction.
The arrival hall is in the next building. All the equipment is old and tired. The toilet is shared and there is one. I have to stand in line.
I've been to the airport many times, it's very small... It seems that a new building has been built / is being built, good aircraft, service... I can't say - between good and so-so.
It does not reach the status of "International airport", from the word at all. There is no arrivals lounge as such. You simply have to wait for arrivals on the street. Given the local climate in winter, it is a serious problem to expect arrivals in the cold and wind. There is practically no service in the departure hall, I did not find any coffee or other places to eat or drink. But there are services for wrapping suitcases with film, well, without that! There is not a single scoreboard with flight schedules, nor any voice announcements about the status of flights. In fact, it does not even compare with the simplest railway station in any rural railway station. In general, one name... Disgusting. The management should reconsider their attitude to work and at least once look at real airports, even small cities in neighboring countries. To compare and do at least something close to the status of "International Airport"
It's a terrible experience. There is no security at all at the entrance to the building. A paradise for terrorists. All four check-in counters don't even have the numbers of the counters themselves, let alone the flight numbers. There is a crowd of people in front of them for flights to Moscow and Astana and no one can figure out who is going where. As a result, it turned out that the ones on the right are for Moscow. To write, at least by hand, a piece of information, apparently, was not smart enough. There is no flight board, no ATM, no WiFi. Kazakh service, in a word.
There is practically no heating in the building, it is very cold. They are forced (they answered on the phone that it was 2 hours, otherwise they would not be allowed on the plane) to arrive 2 hours before departure, but it was really possible in 40 minutes. The buffet is not working. Information boards do not carry information. It's bad!
There is no worse airport, the pregnant wife did not even have a place to sit. Until I found a chair near the bar. Passport control on arrival is a horror. We flew for 10 hours and stood at the passport office for another 1.5 hours.
You can sleep, there are few flights, silence, you can't buy water, you can't buy food!!! Take everything with you!!!! The water in the toilet is not delicious!!!!!
