A great museum, a lot of equipment, there is an opportunity to climb in and see what's inside. There is a lot of information and interesting facts in the museum. Lay down for a walk of at least 3 hours.
I liked the open-air exhibition, it's fashionable to look at a lot of places in the cabin. There are enough different copies, there are information signs next to each locomotive. There is a place to eat and a toilet on the territory.
The collection of railway equipment is rich, beautiful, and in good condition. There's almost no way to get inside. There is very little information without a guide. There is a small indoor pavilion museum
A good museum of steam locomotives. There are a lot of different locomotives, from old steam locomotives to relatively modern ones. The operation of a steam boiler is clearly shown. Some cars can be entered inside.
It's a good exposition. A good collection of railway equipment from the era of Great Civilization is deployed in a small area.
Of the disadvantages, the cabins of almost all locomotives used to be available, now only one.
A very pleasant place! Throughout our walk through the museum, we were haunted by the feeling that every locomotive has its own soul. There are exhibits from tsarist times. Very impressive. There are a lot of interesting things in the exhibition hall and wonderful trains that travel according to the layout. Stuck there for a long time)
Oh, one of the most interesting places associated with the exhibition of technology. The museum is excellent, you can not only study the locomotive externally, but also enter the driver's cabin. There is a pavilion with a bouquet, souvenirs and toilets. The only thing is, if you go in hot weather, take a drink and panama hats.
The whole family visited the museum,
It was very interesting for the male half there.
There is a sign with a brief description next to each exhibit.
On the way back, we went to a small pavilion, there is a miniature railway, small trains go in a circle. It is very interesting for children to watch this.
There is also a small cafe and a restroom.
A great museum!A huge number of exhibits - steam locomotives, locomotives, wagons, special equipment.Everything is in excellent condition.Gorgeous interior exposure .The history of railway transport around the world.I recommend everyone to visit.
The Museum of Railway Technology in Brest hosted the filming of episodes of the film "Vygotsky. Above the sun." It's an amazing place. And in general, everything was very cool, although the sun was mercilessly scorching and the workflow lasted from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m...
Comparing with the railway museum in St. Petersburg, the emphasis here is on the street exposition. You can inspect everything in detail, some exhibits have access inside, which is especially attractive to children. The cost is very affordable. I recommend you to visit!
Great! I really liked it. It will be interesting for both adults and children. You can climb on real steam locomotives (not all of them, of course), go into the driver's cabin and go to the furnace, see the device of old wagons. Ask the museum to launch mockups with moving models of trains - it's worth it. Unfortunately, only 1 of the two was launched when I was there, but I hope this will be fixed and both will work. It is a pity that the cafe / souvenir shop is open only until 17:30 (the museum itself is until 20:00), in my opinion, the management should consider a later closing time of the cafe.
There are quite a lot of railway equipment. It's good that they didn't just put up several locomotives and wagons, but created a menno museum. There is also a trolley and an arrow device, you can see and understand the principle of operation of a steam locomotive. Very interesting. Not surprisingly, we met several groups of children there on an excursion. And the adults were passionate about the exhibits. We liked it!
A gorgeous open-air museum. We were with the child and got a lot of impressions. In the pavilion there is a good cafe with delicious cakes ("Potatoes" as in childhood. Definitely worth a visit)
I really liked it. There are many different trains on the street. There are trains in which you can climb inside the driver's cabin and pull various levers. There is a model railway inside the museum building, which is interesting to consider.
An excellent museum of railway equipment under a blurred sky. There is also a small exposition inside with a model railway, where a model train "runs". The "exhibits" are in good condition, some locomotives can be climbed inside, wooden ladders with platforms are provided for this. There is a cafe on site, Parking nearby. The staff is very polite and competent. I highly recommend visiting this museum to all fans of railway transport and just those who love technology.
A great museum! Tickets are not expensive! There are not very many trains (compared to the museum in St. Petersburg), but here you can see the driver's cabins from the inside (in St. Petersburg, even the windows are painted over since all the cabins are broken), plus there are trains in the section with information about the principles of engine operation!! Adults and children really liked it!
A lot of impressions remained after visiting this exhibition. So many steam locomotives and diesel locomotives have not yet been seen in one place. The most impressive thing is that you can climb into the driver's cabin in some models. Boys of all ages disappear there immediately). We did not take the tour, but we wished for it, because there were many questions, although almost all models have expositors with information. All exhibits are in excellent condition and many are on the move), especially steam locomotives. There is a closed part of the museum on the territory of the museum, where a train is launched every 15 minutes according to the layout of the railway. Also the history of the railway development. The development of ticket travel, as well as the form of railway workers.
It will be interesting for everyone absolutely).
You can see steam locomotives from different years, it's a pity there's no access inside-you can't really see anything from the windows. At the entrance, information is displayed on the stand, in which films the exhibits were involved. There is an interesting museum with mockups in the room. I recommend you to visit
It is easy to plunge into the history of the development of railway transport in the USSR. There is a cafe and a souvenir shop. You can visit the cabins of trains and steam locomotives. More than 50 exhibits.
A 5-minute walk from Brest fortress, The history of steam locomotives and other railway equipment. This is the first time in such a museum, the review is positive. I recommend.
Perhaps the best museum in Brest! There are many steam locomotives that you can climb on, and some even go inside. Individual exhibits are made with a transparent case to see how the mechanisms are arranged. Children and adults will like it!
My grandson's favorite place. Every time we visit relatives in Brest, we definitely visit the museum. Every year the grandson grows up, but the interest in steam locomotives remains.
Location for an hour, on the way to Brest fortress. There are many exhibits, but the units are available for visiting in a deplorable state. There are a lot of people and there is one cafe with 3 tables inside and a terrace. The service is not intrusive, which is typical for attractions under state administration
A huge amount of equipment, sometimes you can climb into the cabin, even made cuts of steam and diesel locomotives under transparent casings.
There is a small indoor museum with models, a buffet and toilets.
Admission is paid, students get a discount, pre-school children are free.
I definitely recommend you to visit, an excellent exposition, many steam locomotives of different years of construction from the pre-war to the 70s.You can climb some of them, even get inside. There is a cafeteria at the museum
There are a lot of railway equipment, but you can only get inside with a guide and not all diesel locomotives…
It is better to come on weekdays in the morning.
There is a delicious tube with boiled condensed milk in the cafe on site.. (although empty inside, there is enough condensed milk).
Children under 7 years old are free of charge. An adult costs 7 rubles, which is a little more than $ 2. We walked around and looked at the exhibits, which are few, in about an hour. You can enter two locomotives inside, which, for obvious reasons, are crowded with children. Conclusion: I would like a greater variety of exhibits, the most interesting thing for children is to look at locomotives from the inside, press buttons and move levers - they would open more trains to visitors.
It's a great place to spend a few hours with the kids. Steam locomotives impress with their size and seasoned power. On site you can buy souvenirs, drink coffee, eat ice cream.
The museum is very interesting. Trains, steam locomotives and other railway equipment of various time periods are presented. You can enter all the doors and carriages, touch and feel every detail. I recommend it to everyone to visit.
There are so many interesting things, Everything is done very well, you can visit the train instead of the driver, and see what it consists of. There is also a mock-up museum with tools and accessories of railway workers. You can learn a lot of new and interesting things. There is a cafeteria where you can have a snack with the kids. In short , some emotions , I RECOMMEND 10 OUT OF 5 👍
The museum is just great, the exhibits are in good condition and inspected, the open-air museum is very clean, there is a cafeteria on site, and a good seller works in it!
The ticket price is acceptable. Children under 7 years old are free of charge. Adult 7 rubles. There is one thing: it seems atmospheric, there seem to be a lot of trains, but those in which you can enter no more than 5 pieces : not a single open carriage:( , only cabins:(. There is a buffet, a small museum, a cafeteria, a toilet. But I really would like to see more exhibits that you can enter .
Children under 7 years old will be attracted only by those who are really interested, and if they are just kids, they will say that it is not enough. The most convenient way to get there is by taxi or car, There is parking and public transport is quite rare:(
It's a very interesting place. A large number of steam locomotives, wagons, and various equipment are assembled there.
Different years. There is an opportunity to go inside and take a look.Impressive .
A very interesting museum. There is a wide selection from wagons from the beginning of the last century to modern diesel locomotives. Detailed technical descriptions of each type of locomotive are given. The only drawback is that not all wagons/locomotives can be accessed inside. An interesting pastime if you are interested in railway transport! Please note that the entire museum is open-air! It is definitely recommended to visit.
Well, you can't get into the cars on a solid 3, in a couple of pieces, that's where the drivers are sitting. To look at it from the outside, well, that. They could have made a restaurant car in some carriage, and it would have been interesting for everyone to drink the same tea in the train carriage, especially for children.
A very interesting museum, where there is a huge number of steam locomotives from different times.it's a pity that you could only go into a few, I really wanted to see them from the inside as well.Children are delighted with the huge wheels and the opportunity to feel like a real machinist.Be sure to check the work schedule before arrival.
A rare museum, definitely worth a visit. Admission is inexpensive. There is a cafe and a mini-museum on site. You can climb inside the locomotives. The main thing was to see schematically the principle of operation of the steam mechanism. Recommend.
A great museum! We were with the child, he was delighted with the exhibits, especially the platform with the cannon! ))) We went around the whole thing, it was carried out simply, after a tour of the Citadel of the fortress, but it was worth it! A must-visit! I recommend it! 🇧🇾👍🏻
Our five-year-old was delighted - he loves trains very much. Yes, and we enjoyed the walk. It is interesting to look inside some of the compositions. We thought to come in for an hour, but we spent much more time.
I really liked it, it would seem that there are wagons, trains on rails, but it was interesting to consider. You can go inside some of the exhibits, the children were delighted. It is a pity that the royal soft carriage was closed for inspection, although wooden steps were built, but the carriage itself was closed
For those interested in the topic and not only-a fascinating immersion into the world of ancient railway technology. Steam locomotives from different countries and periods with the ability to climb and spin))). There is also a museum on the territory with a working scale model of the railway, several trains, arrows, semaphores, tunnels. The children will be delighted. There is a cafeteria, all this is next to the Brest fortress, it is convenient to combine on a trip
An interesting tour. There is an opportunity to go inside. To sit in a 19th century carriage. There are many interesting places to take photos. The guide provides information in an accessible way.
