There is a large area for walking, there are museums, excursions, or to see everything on your own. It's a very soulful atmosphere, it gives me goosebumps. I also recommend watching the Brest Fortress movie before your trip.
It's a good museum, if I were alone, I would walk around and get thoroughly acquainted with the exposition, and when I'm with the company, everyone is on the run. You won't stop, you won't understand. They bring a lot of children, which is good. The Brest Fortress itself is a tragic place, but it exudes some warmth. We were in May, in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. Chestnuts bloomed, willows wept over the river.
An atmospheric place. Everything is clean and tidy. Lots of shops. It doesn't look like it became a huge mass grave a little over 80 years ago. Definitely worth a visit if you come to Brest.
