The National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan. If you are in Baku, it is definitely worth visiting this iconic place. The museum is located in the house of the famous industrialist, oil magnate Haji Tagiyev. The exposition of the history of Azerbaijan is actually located in one half of the house. The second half of the house tells about Tagiyev's life and you can see the rooms in which this famous man lived.

We visit the museum in every city we visit. It's not big, but it's informative. We really enjoyed the tour, the girl guide talked about her story with awe. My son asked me to go through the museum for the 2nd time (but he's just an amateur)
