Excellent hosts, a good guest house for your money, not new, but everything is done neatly and soundly. The room was clean and had a comfortable wide bed, the air conditioner worked without problems. For the entire time, there was a blackout for 1.5 hours.
Attention, room cleaning is on request! a couple of days later, we contacted the hostess and the room was put in order and the towels were changed.
There are many flowers on the territory, there are neat umbrellas with tables. There is a cooler, kettle, microwave, ironing board, iron. The time to the sea was 8 minutes.
I was pleased with the attitude of the staff, always with attention, a smile, they will advise where to buy good wine, from whom to buy a tour.
I have been here with the children since July 5, 9 days. The beautiful hostess Susana, a very interesting woman, may seem strict at first, but in the process of communication you realize that she is a wise, reasonable woman. Susana arranged a transfer for us, met us from the airport and took us right to the gate of the guest house. We lived on the 3rd floor, simple, clean rooms (cleaning is done on request), the bed was made, which by the way changes on request for the 5th day of stay, towels are large, which can be changed as pollution increases. There are many flowers and ornamental plants on the territory, which Susana herself is engaged in. We were satisfied.
And in N.Gagra itself it is dirty, the sea is very dirty, muddy, as a result, the whole family had intestines. We went to Pitsunda to the central paid beach (an adult ticket is 80 rubles for the whole day, children under 10 or 12 years old are free), there the sea is transparent, there are no waves, the beaches are equipped.
Good day to everyone who reads this review! In August 2024, they lived in the Ramses Hotel in Gagra at 25A Kabardinskaya Street. I will tell you about the pros and cons of living.
Pros: close enough to the sea, there is air conditioning, TV, refrigerator and bathroom in the room. There is also a floor hanger and Wi-Fi.
Now about the cons. Unfortunately, there are many more of them than there are advantages.
* There is mold in the air conditioner, so it cannot be turned on for a long time for your own health. Also, it periodically turns itself off.
* There was a constant knocking in the bathroom behind the wall (as if the batteries were being knocked, although they are not in the room).
* There was a musty smell in the room all the time, although we often ventilated the room and were outside it. The smell did not fade at all, no matter how hard they tried.
* The hood located in the bathroom has only a name and noise. If you leave the bathroom door closed, you will really not like it when you go in there again after the time has elapsed.
* Also, there is rust on the plumbing, the toilet seat is dirty, there is no doormat or foot towel near the "bathtub".
* There is no threshold at the entrance to the room, as well as a place for shoes in general - there is a bed right next to the door, which causes discomfort, since everything from the street is immediately brought straight to the bed.
* There were only 2 hangers on the floor hanger, which is not enough - you know.
* We had a rest of 2 people - we were provided with a 3-bed room, one bed was superfluous and took up space, which was also uncomfortable, because it was unnecessary and just cluttered up the space, which is so small even for one person.
* Sockets are located in extremely inconvenient places (behind the double bed on one side only, behind the front door at head level and behind that unnecessary bed + a TV outlet).
* There is no table in the room - only a bedside table, and that, again, is only on one side of the bed, which is also very inconvenient.
* The curtain that hangs in front of the window and should cover what is happening in the room and create a sense of privacy does not fulfill its function. She doesn't close all the windows of the room, which is very uncomfortable.
* The entrance door is glass. Thank you, although it is covered with a matte film, but it is still very uncomfortable. Plus, the lamps from the street shine directly on the pillows and the matte film does not help at all.
* There are no mosquito nets on the windows, so if you try to ventilate the room from an unpleasant smell, you will encounter another problem.
* On the websites where this hotel is located, it is indicated that there is a dining room on the territory. It's true, it's there. Only it doesn't work. And we found out about it in fact, no one warned us in advance. They will tell you to eat exclusively on the street what you can heat up in the microwave. There is also a kettle on site. They are standing outside in the open air. Only if it rains outside, then the microwave is wrapped in a bag, and the kettle is removed altogether. That is, you will not be able to warm up something for yourself.
* Individual discounts are also indicated on the websites. They, as well as the dining room, are only available on websites. We asked for a discount on accommodation, because we chose a hotel specifically with a dining room for a reason. We were refused for an unknown reason. Total: the dining room does not work, there is no kitchen, there is a kettle and a microwave only in good weather.
* Wi-Fi works poorly and then at certain points of the room.
* And the last point, but not least - the humidity is high there - accordingly, your things will dry for a very long time. You either dry things on a shared dryer outside or in your room.
How can I sum up: Abkhazia is a cool and interesting country, so you should not spoil your vacation by staying in this hotel.
