The airport has all you need. Food, free internet, WC, shops, SIM cards, money exchange. The only negative point is the fact that the seats seems not to be enough in peak times, so there is a dispute for places.
Please stop open check-in on board in 1:45 before flight! I have flight in 13:50, now is 13:10, and im still don't pass the passport control.
Please, give the passengers more time!!!!!
We arrived 3.06.2023 from Antalya, tired and exhausted from night flight, with hope what we can get a taxi to our hotel.
On the way out there were a lot of taxi drivers who offer us a ride. I was tired and decide to go, on my questions about price they did not answer and say we will ride with taxi meter.
Taxi driver took our baggage to “help” but in fact he locked it inside his trunk. Then we get to our hotel he told me that ride cost 100 €. But in fact this trip cost 5€. Unfortunately I did not use option to call to police. So I gave him 30€ and told him to leave us and give my luggage back. This guy was trying to grab my luggage and clothes and asking fore more money.
It is very sad situation.
I recommend to use Yandex taxi or Bolt to avoid this problems.
I recommend Georgian government to stop this scam and take it under control.
Georgia is beautiful country with nice and friendly people, but taxi drivers do their best to spoil impression of your country.
I hope you will take it into account.
We're flight from Stambul, during the passport control we were checked unfrendly employees. Check was in 3:40am,it was too hard answer the question during loud noises aroung
Fastest passport control and luggage check I’ve ever been too. High professionalism and dedication! Great choice of places to eat too, and smoking rooms are a pleasant surprise nowadays
Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport is a modern and convenient airport that leaves a pleasant impression. Despite its relatively compact size, it provides all the necessary amenities for a comfortable journey.
✔ Infrastructure: The airport is well equipped and conveniently organized. There are several cafes and shops where you can have a snack or buy souvenirs. The waiting area has comfortable armchairs, free Wi-Fi, and a sufficient number of information boards, which makes your stay at the airport comfortable and carefree.
✔ Service: The airport staff is friendly and ready to help with any questions. The airport staff speaks several languages, which makes it easy for tourists to navigate. The registration and security check-in process is fast and without delay, which significantly reduces the waiting time.
✔ The control process: The passport control and security process is organized efficiently and quickly. There are queues, but they usually move quite fast. All checks are carried out with minimal delays, which greatly facilitates the travel process.
✔ Amenities: Although Tbilisi Airport is not that big, it has everything you need to comfortably wait for your flight. The airport is also equipped with modern toilets, recreation areas and ATMs. The duty-free shops offer a wide range of local goods and souvenirs. In general, the infrastructure is quite decent for a small international airport.
Transport accessibility: The airport is only 15-20 minutes from the center of Tbilisi, which makes it very convenient for tourists and travelers. There are also good transport links to the city, including taxis, buses and car rentals, which allows you to quickly get to any place in Tbilisi.
✔ Prices: Prices for food and drinks at the airport are quite reasonable, especially compared to other international airports. There are various options for those who do not want to spend a lot of money on a snack before the flight.
In general, Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport is a convenient and comfortable airport for travelers. Despite its modest size, it provides high-quality service and all the necessary amenities. I recommend it to everyone who arrives or departs from Tbilisi! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
a small, cozy airport. A good business lounge with food and quality drinks. There are a lot of seats in the departure waiting area, there are chargers for portable equipment, a sufficient number of cafes without fierce prices like in Istanbul, for example. But on arrival, if several planes arrive at the same time, then there is a very long queue for passport control. But the border guards are working fast, waiting for a maximum of an hour.
Small, but comfortable. The entrance to the airport is free - without barriers. Several long-term parking lots. The closest one to the departure hall is just around the corner from the building. There were enough empty seats for my arrival. It was really late at night. No ticket is issued at the entrance. Payment at check-out, which is extremely inconvenient. I paid with a card. I did not find payment terminals in the airport building - neither on arrival nor on departure. After leaving the parking lot, it was necessary to drive up to the arrival hall. But the U-turn, the closest allowed one, turned out to be very far away. The U-turn near the airport was blocked for some reason. It turned out to be very difficult to drive up to the Arrival doors (at night) - the entire front lane was occupied by a taxi, and there were a couple of police cars in the second row. I drove behind the second car - I had to pick up my family with the baby and luggage. The policeman began to chase me away with signals , but still allowed me to boot up. I still didn't understand how to do the "right thing" in their logic? Moreover, you can stop and unload your luggage in front of the departure hall without any problems.
It's a great airport. I came to meet a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the convenience of the airport for drivers.
1. Convenient entrance and two wide entrances for meetings.
2. Fast parking is free and there are a lot of paid long parking nearby.
Wow!!
Beautiful, modern, comfortable. The toilets are clean. Exchangers are extremely unprofitable for rubles, and the exchange conditions for dollars and euros are more or less humane. The waiting room is large, there is a place to sit. A lot of police officers keep order. There is an overabundance of taxi drivers in the arrival area. In the departure area, at the entrance, gypsies are grazing in droves, trying to guess. Parking is huge. The business lounge compares favorably with Moscow's large selection of food and drinks, including alcohol. Lots of tables, intuitive. A bus often goes to the city, for cheap. The souvenir, like everywhere else, is inhumane.
I liked.
I really liked the airport, it was clean and tidy, but too many taxi drivers offer their services at high prices to the city. Yandex taxi to order is much cheaper....
There are disadvantages in customer service, unfortunately ignorance or rejection of the Russian language, and at international airports you need to know not only English. The good old airport station was much more cozy, warmer and more familiar /))
I love you, my native Tbilisi!)
A good airport, everything is there for the convenience of passengers, the staff is cultured and vigilant, especially police women... taxi drivers break the price in three kush - handsome and ask about you all, and try to help, again there will be help in three kush... it is better to call the Bolt taxi service. The car can be left free of charge in a vacant lot, in front of the police station, across the road 200m from the airport for 2 weeks I left no problem.
A cozy airport. Prices for traditional souvenir goods (churchkhela, etc.) practically do not differ from urban ones. The staff is friendly. At the very least, he is indifferent.
I have sore feet, and the Georgian customs staff kindly allowed me not to take off my shoes during the inspection. Didi madloba named after
In gate locations, they sell mainly for GEL, this should be borne in mind. Duty free accepts both dollars and euros.
Compact airport, 20-30 minutes drive from Tbilisi. Very small in size. It's clean, they speak English and Russian. More or less intuitive navigation.
One of the disadvantages is a slow baggage claim service and a clear shortage of leisure facilities in the departure area.
A beautiful country, wonderful people, a nice small airport. But the airport staff overshadowed the whole trip. Namely, they are not at all familiar with the international rules for the transportation of goods. A Swiss knife (blade 4 centimeters) was not allowed in hand luggage. To all attempts to prove that there is a right to transport, the answer is the same: we cannot. They don't know the rules at all. The approach is stabbing, cutting is not allowed. And they don't know that there is a subparagraph in the rules. Because it is necessary to study here, and they learn baggage transportation apparently only from pictures, about what is possible and what is not. And the rules themselves, on the basis of which the pictures were drawn, were not seen in the eyes.
A good airport, clear directions, designations, but:
1. Do not change rubles or dollars for lari there, we did not know and changed all the money, lost a lot, the exchange rate is predatory if in the city 1l. / 28 rubles, and at the airport 1l. / 44 rubles.
2. I was surprised when we were flying away and waiting for registration, a woman began to approach me in ordinary clothes and say something, whisper, who in the 90s in Russia encountered gypsies would understand me, at first I was taken aback and sent to the bathhouse, and when I saw that two more were running towards me, I decided run away. When they saw their husband next to them, they turned around and left the airport. Be careful.
You will pass the inspection, on the minus first floor in the departure area There is a cheap duty-free, much cheaper, where all tourists go.
Have a nice trip, everyone
A cozy small airport, everyone understands Russian, there are no problems, neither at customs nor at inspection, everything is fast and efficient, inspection is only in a clean area, in other parts of the airport there is free entry
A nice, cozy and intuitive airport. Unlike Pulkovo, there are enough seats in it to wait for both check-in and boarding. The staff is polite and smiling.
I was in transit at this airport, and, unfortunately, my impressions were extremely negative. I had to get out to pick up my luggage and go inside again. I was faced with an unpleasant attitude from taxi drivers and airport employees — communication is minimized, as if no one speaks any languages other than Georgian.
The business lounge seems to be quite good, but it is located on the second floor, and access to it is possible only after passing control. Up to this point, the choice is very limited — there are only a couple of coffee shops on the ground floor, including Costa Coffee, and the prices there are far from friendly. The lack of control at the entrance to the airport may seem like a plus to someone, but for me it's more of a security issue.
The most unpleasant moment was that my suitcase was opened, damaging the lock. At the same time, the staff did not show any interest in resolving the situation. I didn't see any politeness or simple human concern here. Given all the experience, I do not plan to fly through Tbilisi again and I do not advise others.
It's a good compact airport. There is free Wi-Fi and water in the drinking fountains. Good duty-free service, a department with local wines and teas. I liked the airport.
Alas. I don't know how there are so many positive reviews here... My acquaintance with the Georgian airport turned out to be unpleasant. Probably, everything depends on people. Although I loved Georgians. And I had a Georgian friend. But... The team didn't get very close here. They searched with passion)))) They understand Russian, speak it, even started it, and then suddenly switched to English. And they behaved so rudely. They hurried and barked... We bought borjomi at the airport, but the security guards forced us to throw it away. Okay, the rules... I speak... Then I'll drink it and then I'll pass the control ... Yeah... "This is not a cafe for you," one of the charms answered me... And they were trampled... I thought I wouldn't get out alive))) They talked so rudely. They just didn't push...
A small convenient airport, a taxi to the city center for 1000 rubles. Via Yandex taxi. There is a free Wi-Fi, thanks to him they calmly called a taxi, there is an exchanger.
I liked the airport clean, there are a lot of police inside. Most people understand Russian . They look out for safety and not to steal. The prices of food and water are very high. There are many exchange points on arrival and on departure. It is better not to change at the airport to go to the center of Tbilisi, I can make up to 30% losses. There is one exchanger on departure with a more or less normal exchange rate, but you need to know where it is.
Not big but neat, everything is nearby, the VIP room is excellent, there are not many people, the food is delicious, alcohol is not limited, I recommend eggplant rolls with martinis
A quick way to understand that everything is very cheap at Moscow airports
There is a local cosmetics store and a bunch of souvenirs.
A small bottle of mineral water 6.5 lari, almost 300₽.
Clean, convenient, passport control is fast, the city is only 25-30 minutes away. There are exchangers and you can purchase a SIM card! Expensive packing of suitcases and in just one layer!
It's a small airport, there are a lot of windows at the entrance for checking documents, everything is quite fast. On the downside, there was a night flight back, I arrived at the airport before the start of check-in, there is nowhere to sit, people are sleeping on the chairs, in general, people are sleeping everywhere where you can sit / lie down. After registration, there are enough places inside near the gates.
The area is small, so it is difficult to get lost. There is a badagi point, fresh churchkhels at regular prices. The staff and staff of the airport are very friendly, friendly, and will always help. The second floor is very bright and spacious. The toilets are clean, paper is available. The smoking area is modest, but it is there. The farthest corner to the left of the escalator.
I love Georgia very much, but at the airport during the flight at the check-in of transit passengers, the airport staff did not register a girl flying from Belarus to Istanbul for the flight (the airline representative did not deign to come), as a result of which the check-in ended, and the girl did not fly, considering that she still had to fly from Istanbul to Paris. There are no adequate explanations . Such an attitude towards passengers is unacceptable. I did not expect such an attitude and neglect.
A cozy airport, there are places for charging.
I couldn't connect to WiFi at any point.
All the time it throws you to the start page of authorization with the imposition of projects. Three hours without Internet.
At passport control, stamps are placed in the middle or end of a blank passport. Because of this, the House of Justice searched for a stamp for a long time.
I love this airport with a hospitable country. Good, helpful staff, good duty free, with a luxurious selection of wines. Convenient transport accessibility, bus 337 about the square to the airport in 3 GEL 25 minutes. Taxi from GEL 25. In the cafe, the prices for coffee are low.
Where to fly if not home? We, in the third generation, lived in Georgia. This is my homeland. My friends and acquaintances also love Georgia. This is hospitality, abundance, joy. There is an advertisement for our canyon at the airport. Taxis are cheaper than in Russia. An exchanger and virtual SIM cards are also available at the airport. In a word, it is convenient for tourists. I love Georgia like a mother. There are many different peoples here. It is a multinational and multi-religious country living side by side for many centuries in friendship and harmony.
A small but modern airport has recently gained particular popularity as a transfer point for Russians to Europe.
There are cafes, exchange offices, and places of sale of SIM cards on the territory of the airport terminal.
There are many taxi drivers offering their services in Russian.
I don't understand why there are so many positive reviews. A bunch of homeless people on the ground floor. The seats are small and dirty, from homeless people. The staff basically does not speak Russian..you can't go up to the second floor, you're sitting in the trash, it smells terrible from the homeless. Security is at zero. The toilets have ice water, everything is broken. It's dirty in the gym. There are no normal cafes to wait out somewhere. I arrived at night, and took off in the morning. Sit in this swamp all night…
