I enjoyed my layover in Belgrade airport. It’s not as crowded as I expected and as someone with anxiety I appreciated it. There are a few very nice cafes (the one near duty free is small but very popular considering a waiting line - the baristas and employees were very nice and very handsome guys ☺️).
There’s not a lot coffee shops, but I did enjoy a cup of coffee and camomile tea. The baristas, once again, were very lovely and smiled when I tried to speak “broken” Serbian. It’s a small thing but they were very friendly.
A lot of sitting places, if you have a night layover it’s almost empty and quiet. Good WiFi but it doesn’t work properly in some corners, not a very stable connection but it’s fixed once you find a spot.
Small but good duty free.
Overall I had a good time waiting for a flight to Moscow. The vibe was very welcoming, and the staff was amazing. The Air Serbia crew (SVO-TIV/TIV-SVO) was so sweet, I have slight air phobia but I felt safe during all the flights.
Хвала на свему!
Great airport! Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport exceeded all expectations. Right from the entrance, you feel a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Spacious and clean halls, clear signage — everything is designed to make moving around the airport convenient and quick. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help with any questions. There are plenty of cafes and shops for every taste, making it easy to pass the time while waiting for your flight. A nice bonus is the free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating areas. Overall, a fantastic experience and positive impressions from my time at the airport. I would happily come back here again!
Belgrade's airport offers a smooth and efficient travel experience. The staff provides friendly and helpful service, making you feel welcome from arrival to departure. It's wonderful that the local people are known for their amazing hospitality. While the lounge serves its purpose, a more modern upgrade would enhance the overall passenger experience. I look forward to seeing any future improvements on my next visit.
They were cheking my inhaltors and jeling at me because I didn’t put allowed amount of liquid that is also a medicine in the little bag. Serbia is the worst palce to visit.
You may experience inpalate from the working staff. Personally, a man how I did not ask for help, because the crying of my two-year-old child and my inability to find my way at that moment after 18 hours of flight , told me that I was complicated in a tone that cannot be described in words.
A clearly unmarked path of movement. The impression that it is works for certain people, not for a people with small children, old and people with special needs
If there is no system down every little, would be 5 stars.. official parking in front of terminals is very expensive (approximately 3.5€/hour) but good alternative exist.. some parts of the airport are under the reconstruction but building looks nice, it's pretty good organised
Professional staff, can't wait to go back to Serbia, enjoyed pretty much everything, from the way people are treated at the airport to the gorgeous nature and the stunning architecture
Bus 72 drives right up to the airport entrance, there are many exits (entrances) at the airport-it's convenient, the airport is constantly cleaned, clean, cultural service, the toilets are very clean, but there are no fountains or coolers with hot and cold water, but there is Wi-Fi, there are no interruptions to Internet access, repairs are still underway inside the airport building, but this does not interfere in any way. There are no flights after midnight, but the airport is open, although the air conditioners are turned on at night to cool or ventilate, so it gets very cold, there are no areas with chairs where you can sleep, but there are a lot of ordinary semi-soft seats. In general, the airport is comfortable and civil.
We now fly to European countries through this airport in Serbia, which is large, civil, cozy, lots of cafes and shops, a nice little duty free, last time we were updated, but transit flights from this airport are often delayed, the staff are kind, responsive, and often very fussy.
Anyway, thank you so much for the opportunity to transfer in the current situation!)
A small airport, signs and signs everywhere. There is a currency exchange machine, ATMs and office exchange.
The airport is being rebuilt internally, so some areas are closed. At the same time, there are many places where you can sit and wait for departure, it's just great.
We found only one cafe, the ladies work fast. You can pay for the order in both Serbian dinars and euros, even partially. There are vending machines for water and juices.
There are public transport stops on the 1st floor. There is a scoreboard indicating the time of arrival. However, there is no timetable for the A1 minibus that goes to the city center. It stops at the same place where all buses stop. The payment is now 400 dinars, pay the driver. It goes twice as fast as the usual routes. The drivers are polite and helpful, they tell you when to get out.
In principle, an ordinary airport, a good dutifrey, there are cool things. There are many places to sit. But it's still a rather empty and strange entrance. Without frames, and then to go up to passport control, you walk in huge zigzags. Well, nothing works there at night. If you stay overnight, the business lounge will not work, but in principle you can sleep on chairs and take a walk around dutifrey. It says that you can somehow pay online, but we didn't see it and didn't really look into it. And so it's a good airport
After reading the negative reviews, we went on a flight with great misgivings. Aer Serbia flight Moscow Sheremetyevo - Belgrade. The reality turned out to be much better.
Arriving in Belgrade, where we had transit, we had to check in for the next flight immediately. It was 5 a.m., there was practically no one at the counter, and passengers from our plane lined up 100- 120 people, there were 2 women at the counter, everything was solved promptly, first they let passengers who flew off the nearest flights and were late due to flight delays, and then everyone else. The queue stood for 35 minutes. And then we were waiting for 8 hours.
The airport itself is built in the form of a round glass tower. You walk in a circle and see exits, exits, boarding gates. There are a lot of seats, you can find a corner and sit quietly. You can get out of the transit zone into the city, but then you will have to go through all the controls again.
In the transit zone there is a duty station, several cafes, a zone to sit with computers and other gadgets, there are sockets for charging gadgets, but there are many non-workers, and the workers are all busy.
The early arrival gave its advantages, there were few people so far and it was possible to choose a convenient place. But from about 10 o'clock, passenger traffic began to increase both from airplanes and from outside. By 13 o'clock, there were a lot of people. It's a bit heavy (well, for me, for example). There was a hubbub of speech in different languages all around. You get tired of such noise. We went to the aer Serbia business lounge and bought a 3-hour stay. The business hall is not large, it looks more like a cafe with upholstered furniture (this, of course, is not Sheremetyevo Malevich with a sleeping area), but silence, pleasant music, you can have a snack, relax.
It should be noted that the entire airport staff is friendly. They answer any questions.
And another important point is the toilets. Clean, no queues.
The Duty free store is large, the goods are standard for any dutik. But in the alcohol department there is a very large selection of national Serbian drinks and sweets, very interesting.
The cafes have standard food on the road.
The airport itself is clean, friendly, and it looks like it is being renovated and expanded.
The impression was good.
A huge airport. It is somewhat similar from the street to the new airport in Istanbul.I was running around. This is the first time I've been to averbooking. When I bought the ticket, it wasn't mentioned anywhere. But everything worked out - she flew away. Flights to Russia are checked especially carefully. Because of this, the flight was delayed for 40 minutes, as they went through the frame again before boarding. Well, they check passengers into Russia when they check in. They ask you to open a suitcase, etc. So you need to arrive in advance. Dew free is large, but the choice is not impressive. A word of caution for those flying from this airport: do not open packages not only from duty-free, but also others, from pharmacies, for example. They won't let you on the plane. In the best case, if there is still time, run to re-pack your purchase, In the worst case, they will throw everything away. But overall, it left a good impression. Safety is above all.
The airport is quite decent, flights are operated throughout Europe, to America. There are enough places in the waiting rooms, there are restaurants and cafes where you can have a snack. The duty-free is very modest, half-empty, there are few shops and not interesting. Before boarding the plane, you need to undergo a second inspection. If you bought water at the airport, it will be taken away. For some reason, Air Serbia's planes are always late for departure. We were late for the docking once. We were accommodated overnight at the Plaza Hotel for free.
A good airport) is getting better and better every time. Everything is very clear and logical. There are a couple of disadvantages: lounge and ...departure lounge for flights to Russia. The lounge is small, there is something to eat. Without peddlers and tired furniture. But the work time is frustrating. You will not be able to rest at night (and the place for departure to Russia is still an additional inspection. You will not be able to carry water purchased in a clean area onto the plane. The people are herded into a separate hall, where they are still waiting for departure. But.. there is no toilet there.... And the flight may be delayed for a couple of hours . Count your strength)) I often fly from this airport to other destinations - there is no such thing on other gates
It's a beautiful modern airport, but most importantly, you can order a taxi through the Yandex Go app. Clean and intuitive airport navigation. The staff speaks English and Russian.
It's a good airport, compact, and that's its advantage. But there are some misunderstandings with the departure from it to the city by bus, the stop is located on the minus floor, and there is also no information. Buses can travel in different directions under the same number and the waiting interval is more than 30 minutes. There are some unnecessary areas on the floors that do not have or perform any load, but this is not a problem.
Friends! With each of my trips to Belgrade, I get more and more excited about the Airport. What happened 15 years ago and now is just space. Every year it gets better and better here. There is a little house, a lot of cafes, the airport has just become huge. Large waiting areas .Polite staff . There are business halls. We pass through passport control quickly and without inspection. By the way, today, departing from Moscow, AIRSERBIA changed the economy ticket to business.
I have visited more than 30 countries, but I have not been treated like this at any airport in any country. So: I flew from Brussels via Belgrade to Moscow on March 21, 2025. I made a purchase in the Dutch free of Brussels (creams and a gift package of Belgian beer), which, as it should be, was packed in a transparent bag with a tamper-proof receipt. On boarding the plane, they did an additional screening for passengers (undress, turn on the laptop, well, that's all), and therefore, of course, there was a delay in departure (by the way, there was also a decent delay from Brussels, how to plan routes with such delays of +- an hour, think for yourself). After passing the frame, the security guards had questions about my purchase in the Dutch free of Brussels. They just opened the package with a ballpoint pen, unpacked the beer from the gift box, began to put it in some kind of thing, shake their heads and say - the device shows that it does not go through. As a result, they gave me one bottle from the package, put 3 on the window, apparently they will celebrate the end of the shift with expensive Belgian beer. The police are standing right there to intimidate the indignant passengers. The mood was such that at any moment they were ready to twist and lead away in an unknown direction. I have a question: there are certain rules for baggage, purchases, transportation, etc. Yes, after all, there are certain norms of behavior of civilized people, why do Serbs allow themselves to be lawless? That's how long I've been flying around the world, even in some of the friendliest countries in our country, I've never experienced such humiliation, lawlessness, and arbitrariness. There are international standards, but apparently not for everyone. I hope that these comrades, when flying to other countries, will experience a hundred times more the lawlessness of the locals, who have at least some influence on their freedom and movement. I have everything. I sincerely recommend building your route bypassing Belgrade. I have never experienced such disrespect and hatred at any airport in Europe.
Cons: Low organization of the staff during the transfer, repeated inspection upon boarding the flight.
Pros, free, you can always find a place to sit down to relax, a good duty free. It is convenient logistically for further transfers across Europe.
A good airport, under construction all the time) new restaurants and shops are opening. Check-in, check-in, and baggage collection are usually quite a fast process and the city is close.
In general, the airport is convenient for transfers. Currently, connections to or from the Russian Federation are more or less short. There is a duty free, but not the most luxurious. There is a place to have lunch. But a decent place - you need to go a little further to us. There is a crush on the landing. But in general, everything is welcome and good!
The airport is still under construction, but it has already become more comfortable than before. Good design, large stylish spaces!
The staff is very friendly! The inspection and control took place quickly and normally. The waiting rooms are comfortable.
Everything is clean enough. There are duty-free shops. There is a business lounge, but it is very mediocre! I don't want to go back there.
There are three or more cafeterias, but the food is very low in all - pizzas, rolls, bad coffee, stale salads.
And if you arrive late at night, then everything is closed, there is nowhere to eat, even if you wait a long time for the docking.
The airport is large, quite comfortable and clean. There are long queues at all cafes during rush hours. All cafes are closed at night. With short transfers, the luggage may not have time to load - we had a transfer in 45 minutes during the Tivat flight and the luggage arrived only the next day, it was delivered to the address.
A clear and spacious airport. I would like to have more places to relax in the waiting area before check-in, as well as regular shops that would work not only until 18 o'clock. It's great that there is a free shuttle, it's bad that there are no storage rooms.
An excellent airport, a wonderful business area: they feed and drink wonderful))). Fresh, cozy and comfortable. It is a little inconvenient at the check-in of the transfer and the entrance to the plane. I hope this is temporary. We will fly through Belgrade again in the autumn. The proximity of the city allows you to take a city tour or visit a restaurant on the largest pedestrian zone. 👍❤️🌸
Fast registration and no long queues. Clear pointers. Friendly staff. Comfortable waiting rooms. The waiting time for registration passed comfortably and without delays.
We flew to the Rammstein concert in the capital of Serbia. There is a good duty free at the airport, the city itself also left a pleasant impression. The staff is polite, the control and inspection passed without problems and quickly enough. It is possible to get from the airport both by public transport and to call a taxi. It is extremely convenient that at the exit there is an opportunity to immediately buy a local SIM card and exchange money
